FaceBook Policy Change. Bad for Small Business, Authors and Artists
I am not a rabble rouser who gets all involved with each and every little thing I think is wrong. I do work arounds to reach my public through Facebook. When they started deleting authors simply because they used a pen name I worked with it, my posts started doing the hit and miss with my readers and I worked around that one too! Facebook as of January 1st, 2015 will put in place policies sure to make it more difficult to reach people. Here is the link to their new practices https://www.facebook.com/business/news/update-to-facebook-news-feed Join me for a week of No Facebook starting 1/1-1/7. I will be on the following social platforms so you can keep in touch. https://plus.google.com/u/0/+ShannanAlbright/posts https://www.tsu.co/ShannanAlbright

Pick Me Up Monday- Wishing You and Yours a Merry Christmas
It's Monday again!Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and if anyone has an in with Santa, I'll take one of these under my tree...please, I've been very good this year. Lol!
As you run to get that last minute present, prepare your home for company and start making all those holiday dishes, don't forget to take a moment to tell those in your life how much you love them. The biggest present you can ever receive is the one which gives to you all year long.
Your family. In good or bad times they are there for you, as you are for them. In the end, isn't that what it's all about? So even if you don't get along all that well, this is the time to look past that to the good in people.
After all isn't that, in essence, the spirit of the holidays?
Well, back to decking my halls, cleaning the house and preparing my dishes. And squeezing in a little time to write. Rogan needs his happy ending and he just may get it in time for Christmas.
Have a joyful holiday!

Pick Me Up Monday- A week and a half from Christmas and all through the house...
Not a creature was stirring...except for the writer who was pounding furiously on her keyboard. Happy Monday all! I so love the new tree design don't you? And the sad part is yes, I would still be slaving away writing even with this beautiful man as my own personal Christmas tree. There is something so wrong with that, lol!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for the challenges of your week. I am up and ready to put in some serious word count this week. As my calendar for January continues to grow I am beginning to see the upside to cloning myself.
I have a year long workshop launching in January, the second book in my Guardians of Drakkan series to finish and a blog launch. The blog is a fun little piece that I hope will be filled with useful information to all my Opensim friends showing them where they can buy awesome "free" fashions and hair for their avatar.
If you have no clue what I'm talking about you can find a great deal about Second Life and Opensim through googling them. It is quite a unique social platform.
Well that's all for now. Have a wonderful day and we will talk next Monday.

Pick Me Up Monday- Firestorm has a new name...sort of
Happy Monday!Well it's back to the grindstone. But this should make it much easier to get back into the swing of things. I so love long hair on me...and this man is positively scrumptious!
With Soul Fire now out I noticed quite a few books with the title Firestorm, which was troubling. So the title of Rogan's book has been changed to The Heart of a Firestorm. Which I feel suits it even better.
So, as Rogan's book continues to unfold I am preparing the next several books in the series and enjoying every moment of it. Soul Fire has been doing very well, which pleases me no end. When you write you put down not only your idea on paper, but a part of your soul. As corny as that sounds it's true. Every story I have written has a piece of me in it. When it is accepted it's as if you accept me.
And that, my friends is what makes all the hard work worth every moment.
Now, I'm getting back to writing. Have a wonderful week all and reach for the dream you have.

“Please,” Susie pleaded. Though, she could not define why she begged, this wave of euphoria hit her like a maelstrom, every nerve ending, every cell in her reveled in it and surged with pure exhilaration. She felt high, higher than ever in her life. If he did anything more to her body, she felt may just flash upward, hit the ceiling and shatter to a million tiny pieces of glorious satisfaction. Hex breathed out with a hiss as her sheath clenched his hard length. His actions showing that she wasn’t the only one on this wicked, wanton ride into a hedonistic heaven. He grasped her face again and gazed into her eyes. His blue orbs were all fire now, intense, dark with passion, full of more than just magic. His feeling for her was right there, palatable while burning straight through to her.Susie stared back while she trembled from head to toe…all of this feeling and sensation stunned her beyond comprehension. She never knew sex or love could be such a wondrous gift. She became lost…utterly lost in a burning gaze. His eyes reached into her then, as no other human ever did before. Like his body just did and his mind too. Never, had her power of sight reacted like this, leaving just her—her feeling, her need, centered all on him. For the first time ever, she had introspect, into her own self! It was almost frightening in its strength and centered pull. Though a new, yet allusive power rushed through her like some primordial wind, lashing its way to her inner soul. It was his feeling for her, she realized with even more shock. Her mind suddenly lit up with a litany of his words, telling her how he worshipped her, how she made him feel alive, gave him a reason to be alive. How just her smile could light his days forever. Wipe away the dark rage, weave a new lining of hope through his soul. His tender words even changed to Latin, then to French and they poured out faster than she could even take them in. Much like the moves he just made on her body, imprinting her with the very essence of him.Susie never felt such love, such a blazing bond with another—she was his, right then and there. She knew that even if he went away, never to return…there would be no one else.

This was not a pretty kiss, nothing in this screamed soft. But Eloise was loving every second of it. She loved how his mouth ate at hers, his tongue slipping over every bow and dip of her lips, as if he were mapping every detail for later dissection. She loved how he was the aggressor, a role she’d always imagined him in. She also loved the little growls in the back of his throat that he obviously could not contain. Especially when her tongue touched his. He seemed to explode, and so did the kiss.
A fairly primal growl echoed between them. And something triggered inside of Eloise when she heard that, along with his hand slipping down to cover her ass.
She felt her teeth began to burn, to lengthen. Her eyes began to heat. And the one thing he had no clue about was about to come out for him to see.She broke apart from him. Hating to do so, but not seeing another way around it. For a second she hung her head down, allowing her senses to catch up, and her body to feel that she wasn’t the only one turned on by that kiss. His hardness was prodding her belly.
“You okay?”
It was whispered against her forehead, and she nodded, but didn’t trust herself to look up yet. She just continued to stare at the front of his dress slacks, wondering what he would do if she dropped to her knees right now to worship that part of him that was standing at attention so proudly before her.
“Well, I’m not. I feel like I’ve just been blindsided.”
She couldn’t help but respond to that. “Why?” Curious as to what he would say.
He chuckled slightly. “That was a kiss to end all kisses. I think I’m a changed man. And it only took your mouth on mine to do it.”

He growled low in warning as she neared. The urge to attack almost overwhelming as he forced himself to remain still.“This is barbaric.”He blinked in surprise as the druidess stepped in front of him. Her scent swirled in the air as her hair brushed up against the stubble of his chin in a soft erotic glide. He breathed in her heady aroma of vanilla and green grass deep into his lungs, his willful body hardening in response to her nearness regardless of what his mind thought. “I will not just stand here and let you abuse this man.”“Can you truly be that naive? That is not a man, it’s a demon. A beast with no soul. It lives only for the chance to destroy us, should we be foolish enough to give them the chance.”“Enough!” The Polariate’s voice whipped through the arena bringing a heavy science in its wake. “Stand aside Leigh. Now.”Disbelief held him immobile. Never in his life could he remember anyone ever coming to his aid before. Yet this woman, Leigh was willing to save him from an assassin’s blade. It confused him, made him wary and wondering what she held in store for him. For this surely this must be just another form of torture.

Seven Days of Paranormal Delight- Day Four Death Angel by Charisma Knight
Welcome day for of this special edition I am running on my blog this week. This collection is sure to warm up your cold nights as these authors offer up men so hot they will make you burn for more.
For seven days I will be treating you to seven paragraphs from the seven writers of When the Night Comes. The anthology is available for a limited time on Amazon for only .99 cents so get your e-book today or you can buy the paperback for $13.31.
Now here is a taste of Death Angel, the fourth book in the anthology
Bane folded his arms across his impressively muscled chest. “Well, you fucked my little project up royally,” he challenged. “You screwed me over. Now it’s my turn to establish some balance in this realm---and the human world too. Oh Willa, I didn’t want things to come to this, but you’ve wronged me so long ago.”Her chest tightened with his admission. “Okay…” She changed her tone, not wanting to remember the emotional aspects of their time together.“Look at me, Willa,” Bane’s baritone voice cracked with a strong emotion. “What, Bane.”“Did you ever care for ---love me?”Her pulse raced and the painful expression on his face reminded her of the night she told him they could never be together. She held her head down in shame.“Dammit, answer me, Willa,” he demanded. “Please, don’t do this Bane.”“Willa!”“Bane, why do you continue to put us through this?” She hated the fact that he was bringing her feelings to the surface. If she showed just one ounce of emotion to him, he’d snare her like a fish in a net.He arched a brow. “Are you hiding something from me?”She shook her head. “Look, I apologize. Can we make amends and go our separate ways, please? Just let me go and I’ll never mention a word of this to anyone. I promise. Heaven forbid if word gets out about Will having her way with the Death Angel. Let’s just forget about this—what happened in the past.”“So, is that the way you truly feel?” His caring expression changed to a cruel, dark one.“It’s a little too late to bury the hatchet, beautiful. You’re at my mercy now and I intend on taking it out on your ass—literally. You want me, and I can see it in your eyes. I’ll make you admit it, if I have to keep you here for all eternity, in complete submission.“I’m just saying…” Panic slammed into her and she tried stalling as her mind raced to figure a way out of the mess she’d gotten herself into. The human she’d been protecting was now lost to the Reaper, and he was pissed. She knew he would leave no stone unturned in his quest to acquire any precious soul he’d lost. And if Bane subdued her, she’d never be able to deny her feelings, he’d see what she felt for him.
“You’ll pay for your interference, and your rejection of me, Will. I swear on your soul—you’ll pay!”

Seven Days of Paranormal Delight- Day Three Reap what you Sow by AR Von
Welcome day three of this special edition I am running on my blog this week.
Now here is a taste of Reap what you Sow, the third book in the anthology
I’ve stopped counting the souls I’ve sent where they belonged after my first year of reaping. It was too much for me and my animal loving heart to handle. I know the number is high after all of these years, too high. Many times, I’ve tried to fight it, fight the pull a Reaper gets when the time to free a soul is near. It’s useless, senseless, non-fightable. I've tried everything from going into the underworld to tying myself to a boulder or tree with chains! Nothing works. As soon as the time comes POOF! There I am. There’s no stopping it.Today, I find myself staring at a young woman and her dog. I can sense the love and affection they have for one another flowing from her. She sits next to him, petting and speaking to him in hushed tones. Occasionally stopping, as if she’s listening to what he has to say.Her face turns to the side as she laughs at something. It’s an adorable laugh that does something to my long dead soul.I look at her a bit more closely and swear my eyes have never witnessed such immense beauty.Hair the color of flame, skin a white as a porcelain doll, lips so full and defined, so perfect. I want to see more of her, have to see more of her so I move closer, ever so slowly. My heart makes its presence known the closer I get to her. I breathe slow and deep to get it to calm, an error on my part for all the action does is bring her scent to my senses. So clean and fresh, the hot sun on the grass after a sprinkle of rain, such beautiful essence for such an exquisite woman.I’m captivated and in trouble. This woman will never give me a thought or a glance once she finds out who I am. I’m not even sure if it’s possible for a Reaper to feel what I’m feeling, or to be with a woman.I was always told that once a Reaper is chosen, all emotion basically shuts itself off. That’s never happened for me and it makes every day even more torturous. I’ve done my best to ignore it since given the task of Reaper. But this—this feeling I have for this female is impossible to ignore.

Seven Days of Paranormal Delight- Day Two Wicked Girl
Welcome day two of this special edition I am running on my blog this week. This collection is sure to warm up your cold nights as these authors offer up men so hot they will make you burn for more. My fingers ached with a need to touch him but I didn’t want to make the first move. I had no idea why. I’d always taken control in the bedroom. Raised on female power and confidence, witches embrace their sexuality freely. Why was Josh so different? I had a strange awareness of the oddest need flittering in my head. I literally wanted him to pick me up, dump me over his shoulder and carry me caveman style to the bedroom.Huh? Where was this crazy idea coming from?“Are you okay?” Josh moved so close that he had to put his arm on the back of the couch.I could smell his aftershave which had an ambery musky scent. It fit him completely. I could easily get addicted to that aroma. Manly and dominant.Dammit, there’s that word again. Dominant.I realized he’d been staring at me with a flash of concern in his eyes. I instantly became conscious that I never answered his question. “Um, yeah. Why do you ask?” I trembled slightly. So much for the seductive confidence, I displayed earlier.“You zoned out for a moment. If you’re tired, I can go.” He didn’t move, thank the goddess. Instead, he linked his fingers through my hair. “You have such soft hair, Alala,” he murmured.I gazed back at him and saw the hue in his irises take on a lush emerald color. To Wiccans, green is a steadying harmonizing color. I could get lost in his eyes. The picture of nature. Every nerve ending began to stir and then pulsate. I became hyperaware of how close he sat next to me. I wanted him to touch more than my hairI glanced down at his strong beefy thighs. “I’m not tired. I’m taking in your presence…and enjoying it.”He sucked in his breath. “What is happening to me? I’ve never been drawn to a woman like this before. Have you put some sort of spell on me?”
