Interview for Bite-Sized Fiction
I was recently interviewed by my fellow author and good friend Scott Jessop for his Writing For a Living Blog. He asked questions about how I got started writing, what I consider my strengths and weaknesses, and how I maintain writing discipline. New Contract Signed!
I’m pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with Aethon Books for my space opera trilogy, REDSHIFT RUNNERS! The tentative titles are Parallax, Dying Suns, and Termination Vector. Parallax is complete, and I’ll be writing the next two installments this fall. I hope to see them released in Spring 2022 (ebook, paperback, and audio formats). I’ll be using a pseudonym, one that I will reveal soon. There’s lots of influences on these books, particularly THE EXPANSE series by James S.A. Corey, the EVE ONLINE video game franchise, a nod to Tom Wolfe’s THE RIGHT STUFF, and elements inspired by Frederik Pohl’s GATEWAY. Space pirates, rail guns, sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll—with more attention to scientific detail than I’ve written before. I can’t wait for readers to strap into the piloting pod and make the jump.

New book release: Eden's Crown
The final book in my EDEN trilogy, EDEN'S CROWN, is now out for Kindle and paperback. This is a very satisfying moment, to see the publication of my first trilogy, my first series. And judging from reviews of the previous two books, people have found something exciting and unique in my work this time around. But along with that satisfaction comes the hunger to write in that world again. I've never enjoyed writing anything as much as this series. Writing Journal 4/3/21
The BLIGHTWARE 1st draft manuscript is finished! This makes my 20th novel overall. I'll be working on smaller projects the rest of the month, catching up on reading (and Netflix), and prepping for the revisions of this novel, and REDSHFT RUNNERS, the space opera novel I wrote earlier this year. My work is never truly done, but I like it that way.
