Vaughnette Goode-Walker is author of the poetry collection entitled Going Home (under the name "Sista V") and a contributing author to the Civil War Savannah Series.
Currently Director of Cultural Diversity and Access at the Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia, Goode-Walker worked for some twenty-five years as a network and cable television news writer. She now works in historic preservation and serves on a number of important boards, including that of the Historic Savannah Foundation and the Friends of Massie Heritage Center. She is also chair of the Chatham County Historic Preservation Commission and active on the board of the Savannah Book Festival and the Early College Board.
