Prime Video’s FALLOUT Series Likens Walton Goggins’ Ghoul to Marvel’s Wolverine
Video game fans have been safely enjoying the excitement/terror of a post-nuclear wasteland since 1997. That’s when Fallout and its ’50s-era Cold War aesthetic first came to stores. Since then countless sequels and spinoffs have turned the game into one of genre’s most successful franchises. Now Fallout is ready to conquer another medium entirely. It’s getting its very own show from Amazon. What kind of story can gamers expect from the Prime Video Fallout adaptation? Who’s behind it, and who will star in it? And when will we get a chance to see it?
As the series approaches its April release date, more about its world is coming to life. For instance, showrunner Graham Wagner has likened the series’ iconic anti-hero character the Ghoul, played by Walton Goggins to Marvel’s Wolverine. IGN shares, “As the show progresses, Goggins’s character also provides the showrunners with opportunities to start filling in the gaps. As the show progresses, Goggins’s character also provides the showrunners with opportunities to start filing in the gaps. Wagner likens him to Marvel’s Wolverine, whose long lifespan has allowed writers to insert him into pivotal moments throughout modern human history. ‘It’s a really delightful device for us we hope to explore more of as the show goes on,’ he adds.”
You can learn even more about the world of Prime Video’s Fallout series with a new featurette that examines the settings visited, the three factions explored (Vault Dweller, Ghoul, and Brotherhood of Steel solider), and the overall tone of the show. We even get a glimpse of a one of Fallout‘s fan favorite creatures, a Gulper, in live-action.
Here’s everything we know about Prime Video’s Fallout series so far.
Title
Prime Video’s adaptation will share the same name as the original game, Fallout.
Fallout‘s PlotWe officially have our first full look at the Fallout series. Prime Video released the first trailer for the show and it teases a dangerous wasteland of a world. But it’s clear the show understands its dark humor as well.

Prime Video has shared an official Fallout series synopsis, setting us up for what’s to come. It reveals, “Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.“

Additionally, we know that the series is “set in the future post-apocalyptic Los Angeles.” It will also tell an “original story based on Fallout that will be part of the canon of the games.”

The first image from the show featured a glimpse at the franchise’s all-new Vault 33. And more recent looks have revealed Fallout‘s main characters including Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul, Ella Purnell’s Lucy, Aaron Moten’s Maximus, and Kyle MacLachlan’s Overseer Hank.

There will also be an adorable animal involved. In the Fallout games, a dog called Dogmeat exists as an NPC companion character that accompanies players on their adventures. According to a blog post from Amazon, the live-action Fallout series’ cute canine isn’t called Dogmeat, but instead is named CX404. But this pup, too, will serve “as a companion navigating the post-apocalyptic world.”

BODKIN Trailer Reveals a True Crime Podcast Series Drenched in Dark Comedy
Readers have found true crime stories fascinating for hundreds of years. Now the explosion of podcasts have made the genre more ubiquitous and popular than ever. Not everything about that is good, but the format has given us something we can all agree is great: television shows that turn the hunt for grisly truths into a discovery of comedy. That’s what Netflix is bringing to airwaves with its new limited-series Bodkin starring Will Forte. He’s heading to the Emerald Isle to investigate a cold case that is much hotter than he ever could have imagined. You can check out the full trailer for Bodkin below.
Bodkin Trailer and SynopsisNetflix’s new show “based on a true story” is heading to Ireland to find the truth. Or at least to find a decent audio series for people to subscribe to. But what these Bodkin‘s podcasters don’t know is that they’re looking for something no one in this quiet town wants them to find.
In addition to the trailer, here’s the official synopsis for the Bodkin series:
Bodkin is a dark comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters (Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara) who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined. As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction — about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves — the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears.
The streamer also shared the first official images from the show.

Bodkin‘s producers include Barack and Michelle Obama. It comes from creator Jez Scharf, who also serves as co-showrunner with Alex Metcalf (The Loudest Voice). The series additionally stars Chris Walley (Sean O’Shea) and David Wilmot (Seamus). The season’s seven hour-long episodes will be release on Netflix on May 9.
Whether or not these podcasters make it that far in their case remains to be seen. If they don’t, we might know what a second season will cover.

FREAKY FRIDAY 2 Teases a Four-Person Body Swap Story
If you were a teenager in the 2000s, then you surely remember the great Disney masterpiece Freaky Friday. Who can forget the hilariousness of a mom and daughter who end up switching bodies thanks to a fortune cookie? It has somehow been 20 years since we saw Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan as Tess and Anna, but they are reportedly reprising those roles in a Freaky Friday sequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both stars are ready for more body-swapping adventures, with Elyse Hollander penning the script and Nisha Ganatra set to direct.
Updates on Freaky Friday 2Lohan and Curtis seemed to confirm news of the movie with a celebratory Instagram post.
Additionally, Lohan herself confirmed during an Andy Cohen interview that the sequel is happening. She remained mum about any production timelines but said that both she and Curtis were excited about a Freaky Friday sequel.
What Will Freaky Friday 2 Be About? So, what will this movie be about? Well, Jamie Lee Curtis wants her co-star to be a sexy grandma. In an interview with The View, which we learned about via Deadline, Curtis said, “Let me be the grandma, let me be the old grandma who switches places, so then Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma who’s still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon… I would like to see Lindsay be the hot grandma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today. I want to be a helicopter parent in today’s world.” We’d love to see it.
Additionally, Entertainment Weekly reveals that newly minted director Nisha Ganatra shared a casting call on her social media for the movie. The casting call revealed that Anna Coleman (Lohan) now has a daughter and that she’s apparently getting married to a man who also has a daughter. Of course, Tess (Curtis) is still involved. Whatever swap is coming up for our favorite ladies, it seems like four people might be included this time.

Of course, there are no confirmed details about the Freaky Friday sequel at this time. But it isn’t shocking that this reunion is happening. During a retrospective interview, both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan told The New York Times that they were open to a Freaky Friday sequel. And we have seen the actresses in very recent projects, too. Curtis came back as Laurie Strode once again in Halloween Ends while Lohan is back in the spotlight after Falling for Christmas, a very cute Netflix rom-com.
We’re still not ruling out Anna’s daughter swapping places with her while Tess tries to help them figure it all out. No matter what the plot is, we are totally down for a Freaky Friday sequel.

KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES’ Latest Trailer Brings Tension and War
A new entry into the world of Planet of the Apes is coming our way. It picks up generations after we left Caesar and his tribe living peacefully in War for the Planet of the Apes. Trouble, of course, is brewing, as it naturally does in order for franchises to continue. We can sense an epic conflict coming our way. The trailers for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes sets us up well for the “action-adventure spectacle” that awaits, promising ape tyrants, human friends, lots of danger, but also beauty. You can get a look at what’s in store below in the latest look, which includes a clip from the film.
The official logline for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes released with the trailer reveals more about its story; it notes:
Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
That young ape, however, is not Cornelius, Caesar’s son, as many initially imagined. Instead, it is a young ape called Noa. Kingdom of Planet of the Apes does not take place immediately after Caesar’s death, but instead occurs nearly 300 years later, as revealed by Empire. But it seems Noa will still fight to be inspired by Caesar’s legacy and ultimately, he will seek to understand it and keep it alive. But will he successfully bring peace to apes and humans alike in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes? We’ll have to wait and see where his journey goes. But this trailer suggests it certainly won’t be an easy quest.

A release shares, “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Wes Ball (the “Maze Runner” trilogy) and stars Owen Teague (“IT”), Freya Allan (“The Witcher”), Kevin Durand (“Locke & Key”), Peter Macon (“Shameless”), and William H. Macy (“Fargo”).”
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will release in theaters on May 10, 2024.

DOCTOR WHO Reveals Season 1 Episode Titles, Brand New Trailer
What’s this? Another new trailer? The Disney+-era—aka, Russell T Davies v. 2—of Doctor Who has only barely gotten underway and they aren’t wasting any time getting us hyped. So 10 days after the first trailer for Doctor Who season one (yes, that’s what they’re calling it), we get another! It’s got a lot more fun to pour over than the first. We see some guest stars, some monsters, and loads of Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor looking fabulous. But more exciting than the trailer is the full slate of episode titles for Gatwa’s season of Doctor Who. Each of the titles came with its own flavor card, plus we know who wrote and directed each of them. Eek!
Doctor Who Season One Shares Episode Titles and Mini-TeasersThose are super cool and give us a really interesting idea of what the upcoming episodes could be about. But for an even better idea, here’s the full list of Doctor Who‘s season one episode titles and the creatives involved.
SPACE BABIES: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Julie Anne RobinsonTHE DEVIL’S CHORD: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Ben ChessellBOOM: Written by Steven Moffat, directed by Julie Anne Robinson73 YARDS: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Dylan Holmes WilliamsDOT AND BUBBLE: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Dylan Holmes WilliamsROGUE: Written by Kate Herron and Briony Redman, directed by Ben ChessellTHE LEGEND OF RUBY SUNDAY: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Jamie DonoughueEMPIRE OF DEATH: Written by Russell T Davies, directed by Jamie DonoughueOf the eight episodes, six come from Davies’ pen. He always did write a lot of the episodes in his original run, but it stands out quite a bit here with fewer episodes. Not to mention, he already wrote all four of the previous Disney+ episodes.
The two episodes he didn’t write have big guest writers involved! Another former showrunner, Steven Moffat, returns to write this Doctor Who season’s third episode, “Boom,” which looks like a space adventure of some sort. “Rogue,” the sixth episode, comes to us from the writing team of Kate Herron and Briony Redman. Herron, you might know, directed all of Loki season one and several episodes of Sex Education. This one, given the title card, appears to be the Doctor Who episode that will feature Jonathan Groff and the Regency time period.

A few other things of note, via doctorwho.tv. First, “Space Babies” and “The Devil’s Chord” will drop on the same day (on May 10th). The former features Bridgerton‘s Golda Rosheuvel, the latter with Jinkx Monsoon. All the episodes from there on will debut weekly. So, we’ll only have seven weeks of new Doctor Who rather than eight.
Doctor Who Releases New Trailer for Ncuti Gatwa’s SeasonOh, and I guess we ought to get to the second trailer.
We see snippets of everything here, but one thing that really stands out is it looks like we’ll get yet another Doctor Who musical number. Both “The Giggle” and “The Church on Ruby Road” had musical numbers; “The Devil’s Chord” takes place in the 1960s as the Doctor and Ruby try to meet The Beatles, and this looks like it’ll have another such scene. Fascinating stuff.
We’ll have to wait and see what other excitement is in store when Doctor Who season one premieres May 10 on Disney+.

Memory Is the Monster in INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE’s Season 2 Trailer
In 2022, the adaptation of Anne Rice’s classic gothic saga Interview with the Vampire received a modern interpretation, as a series on AMC and AMC+. Season one, which consisted of eight episodes, reinvented Rice’s infamous undead heroes Louis and Lestat, and their progeny Claudia, for today’s audiences. After a year-long hiatus, the series returns this spring, with an all-new setting and featuring all-new characters.
To shorten the wait, Interview with the Vampire season two is teasing us with all kinds of new clips and trailers. The latest of them delve into the many queer shenanigans we can expect in the upcoming season. But we suppose when you have an eternity, it’s easy to get caught up in love triangles, quadrangles, and more. But we support vampires’ rights to do wrongs and to get into as many jealous antics as humanly possible. Clearly, Armand, Louis, and Lestat are about to become deeply entangled in Interview With the Vampire season two. And that’s not even to get into Louis’ complex relationship with his charge, Claudia. And, of course, there’s the interviewer, Daniel.
Where can this lead? Nowhere good but everywhere fun.
Here is everything we know so far about Interview with the Vampire’s upcoming second season.
Interview with the Vampire Season 2’s Plot
According to showrunner Rolin Jones, season two will consist of adapting the second half of Anne Rice’s original 1976 novel, or the second hour of the 1994 film. This finds Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia fleeing New Orleans and their maker Lestat to travel to Europe. There, they encounter a coven of the undead who operate the Théâtre des Vampires in Paris. This is where Louis and Claudia meet Armand, who the season one finale revealed as having assumed the identity of Louis’ human assistant, Rashid, in the present-day Dubai scenes.

Like the first season, Interview With the Vampire’s second season is executive produced by Mark Johnson, creator and showrunner Rolin Jones, and producer Mark Taylor. Still listed as executive producers are the late author Anne Rice and her son Christopher Rice. They mostly shot season two in Prague, with some scenes filmed in New Orleans.

Returning from season one are Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt, Eric Bogosian as interviewer Daniel Molloy, and Assad Zaman as Armand. Replacing actress Bailey Bass in the role of Claudia is Delainey Hayles. Joining the cast in season two is Roxane Duran as Madelaine, Claudia’s vampiric “mother.” Ben Daniels also joins the cast as the cruel European vampire Santiago. Other new additions include David Costabile as Leonard, a seasoned TV personality who has a run-in with Daniel. Bally Gill plays someone called “Real Rashid.” We believe this is a character who inspired the vampire Armand’s human alias in the first season.

THE WALKING DEAD: DARYL DIXON Teases Daryl and Carol Reunion in Season Two Sneak Peek
The Walking Dead is over but, as we know, the end of the flagship series that’s been in fans’ hearts for over a decade doesn’t mean this world is done. The show already has had five spinoff series, Fear the Walking Dead, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, The Walking Dead: Dead City, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon on TV. The latter, starring Maggie and Negan, is returning for a second season in the future along with Daryl’s spinoff. AMC has shared a sneak peek look at a couple of scenes from The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two, “The Book of Carol.” In it, we see Daryl in the middle of some action and Carol being a badass. But most importantly, we feel their reunion brewing.
You can check out The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon‘s season two teaser below.
The Walking Dead‘s Potential Spinoff Crossover Event and The Ones Who Live‘s FutureAs fans know, Rick Grimes was supposed to get three movies, but now it is the limited series alongside Michonne. The Ones Who Live is meant to wrap up their storylines; however, Gimple says there might be more story to tell. “Anything is possible — even if Rick dies in the last episode, anything is possible,” he said to Deadline. “We’re focused on this one right now. But this one came together in a really amazing way, where there were all sorts of plans. And then the world changed and we altered those plans.”

We certainly hope Rick doesn’t die because there are so many reunions that need to happen. Morgan is out there looking for Rick, Daryl will eventually return to the US to find Rick, and there’s the rest of his found family back home. All signs seem to be pointing to a crossover event, which Gimple wants to happen.
“I do have dreams of merging this all together, and I have laid little breadcrumbs toward that, but you never know exactly when and how [it will come together], because of a variety of reasons,” he told TVLine. As long as The Walking Dead franchise is getting money and attention from fans, it will surely keep making more spinoff content. That’s fine with us but please, please don’t follow the comics and kill Rick Grimes.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season Two – “The Book of Carol” Is ComingWe are done with the first season of Daryl Dixon’s adventure, but there is already great news about his show’s second season. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will bring Carol back next season. We don’t know if she will also end up in France or if they will meet in some odd middle. Either way, it will be good to see those besties together again. A new teaser shows that next season will focus a lot on Carol’s journey.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner David Zabel gave fans more insight into season two. He reveals that the Nest is a prominent location in season two and Carol’s previous comment about some mystery person coming back will come into play. “There’s also another clue… this moment in the radio call in episode 5 where she talks about something or someone having come back,” said Zabel. “And the impression we get, and Daryl also gets, is that something’s a little off for her, something’s wrong. And so that’s going to also function into the story for Carol in season 2.”

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two, “The Book of Carol” will come in Summer 2024, which is shortly after the ongoing Richonne series ends. Norman Reedus himself posted the slick announcement in his IG stories.

A lot is happening in The Walking Dead universe and there will surely be more details about other spinoffs if they happen. There’s plenty left to explore in the land of the dead, so let’s keep walking right towards these spinoffs.

Lindsay Lohan Confirms FREAKY FRIDAY Sequel with Jamie Lee Curtis, Says They Are ‘Excited’
Addtionally, Lohan herself confirmed during an Andy Cohen interview that the sequel is happening.
I want to be a helicopter parent in today’s world.”
We’d love to see it.

Of course, there are no further details about the Freaky Friday sequel at this time.
This time, it will probably be Anna’s daughter swapping places with her while Tess tries to help them figure it all out. No matter what the plot is, we are totally down for a Freaky Friday sequel.

GEN V Star Chance Perdomo Has Passed Away at 27
Chance Perdomo, the talented young actor best known for playing the beloved warlock Ambrose Spellman on Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina and the powerful co-ed superhero Andre Anderson on Gen V, has passed away. He was only 27. Perdomo died from injuries suffered in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident.

On Saturday, Perdomo’s publicist confirmed the sad news and celebrated the performer’s short but impressive career. In a statement, they wrote, “On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident. Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures also released a joint statement about the late Gen V star. They said his death has “devastated” them. The show’s producers echoed those sentiments with their own statement, as have many who worked with him.
— GEN V (@genv) March 30, 2024
was born on October 19, 1996, in Los Angeles. But he grew up in Southampton, England with his mother. The actor once said he originally planned to be a lawyer before turning to acting. Other notable credits from his far too brief career include playing Landon Gibson three times in the After film franchise. He also played Benny in The Cipher podcast series.
Perdomo was set to return for Gen V‘s second season and filming on the series was planned to begin this month. Amazon has already said it will delay the production. Perdomo’s last listed credit will see him star alongside Seann William Scott and Rob Riggle in Bad Man.

A new video game from Marvel is bringing to life some of our favorite heroes in a whole new way. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra takes us back to, you guessed it, 1943. There “an original story that takes players on a WWII-era adventure with an ensemble of four heroes playable at different points in the game.” These four heroes are “a young Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America; Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather and the WWII-era Black Panther; Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris.”

Captain America and Black Panther are two of our favorite Marvel heroes, and we can’t wait to see them come to life in this new game. The results will undoubtedly be epic.
The game comes from Skydance New Media, helmed by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig, and Marvel Games.

A Big Threat Emerges in Latest GODZILLA x KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE TrailerMichael Rosenbaum Is Still Thinking About That Smallville Animated Series

The Smallville animated series isn’t dead yet. Michael Rosenbaum recently revealed the following to Screen Rant:
All I could share is that it’s a great idea. We have Al and Miles, the creators of Smallville backing us up. When it’s the right time, we’d like to go and do this; pitch to Warner Bros. It has to be the right time, and right now is not the right time. We had the strike, we had a change of executives at DC — one being one of my best friends in the world, James Gunn. When the time’s right, I think it’s something that’s a no brainer, unless they have other ideas. We’d like to do it — the whole cast would like to do it. They would voice their own character from the show, and we have a concept of what the show is.
Fingers crossed!
Rosenbaum also recently spoke to the DCU’s newest Lex Luthor, Nicholas Hoult.
