Rare MAGIC: THE GATHERING Infinity Stone Card Selling for $15k Before Release

This week Magic: The Gathering will officially launch its new Marvel’s Spider-Man set. The collection will also serve as a mini-launch for a series of MTG cards we know are going to cause fans to go as mad as Thanos. We’re confident in that prediction because it has already started. Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man set includes the first Infinity Stone card. And the rare Cosmic Foil Soul Stone variant has already sold for $15,000 before its even officially available.Rare MAGIC: THE GATHERING Infinity Stone Card Selling for $15k Before Release_1Wizards of the Coast

Magic: The Gathering fans will be able to snag the first of six Infinity Stone cards in the tabletop company’s upcoming Spider-Man collection. The rest of those magic space rock cards will follow in other sets. When they do they will apparently require a Tony Stark bank account to get them all in their hardest to find form, the super rare Cosmic Foil variants. As noted by IGN, those versions are already going for tens of thousands of dollars on eBay.

The special Soul Stone card has already sold for $15k twice. Twice. Meaning the person who snagged one for “just” $10k can feel much better about their auction acumen.

Three Magic: The Gathering infinity Stone cardsWizards of the Coast

Rare Magic: The Gathering cards can go for waaaay more money. But prices like this are still stunning under any circumstances. But what makes these numbers especially noteworthy is that they aren’t technically for sale yet. Gamers can start buying them this Friday, September 26. When more of this hit the market these prices might seem like a huge overpayment. Or, when a lot of them don’t hit the market these might seem like great deals.

No matter if prices go up or down, the rest of the Infinity Stone cards seem destined to fetch big bucks when they also become available. (Or, you know, even before they are available.) Magic: The Gathering fans had something in common with Thanos even before these Infinity Stone cards came out: they can go a little mad trying to complete a set.

Gillian Anderson Teases Scully Return in X-FILES Reboot Again

It seems that after publicly swearing off returning to the character after the previous two X-Files revivals, Gillian Anderson is warming up to the idea of revisiting Dana Scully one more time. At least, if Ryan Coogler’s proposed The X-Files reboot ever gets off the ground. While doing press for her turn in the upcoming TRON: Ares, Anderson told Comic Book Resources that should the revival series happen under Coogler’s watch, she’d be down to play Scully once more. Here’s what she had to say about a potential return as the iconic F.B.I. Agent:

There may be a certain point where I end up, maybe in a few years or something, if Ryan Coogler does get X-Files off the ground, that I would dip into Scully again under his tutelage.

Gillian Anderson as FBI Agent Dana Scully in The X-Files season 11.Twentieth Century Television

Gillian Anderson played Special Agent Dana Scully in nine seasons of The X-Files on Fox back in the ’90s. She and co-star David Duchovny became instant pop culture icons. And if you were around back then, you remember them being on the cover of practically every magazine. A few years back, Fox reunited the pair for two separate seasons of an X-Files legacy sequel series. Although series creator Chris Carter returned to helm the revival, Gillian Anderson famously didn’t like how her character was handled. She pretty much swore off playing Dana again. But with Ryan Coogler now in charge, she is definitely changing her tune.

The idea that Anderson has even mentioned returning seems to cement the idea that Coogler’s X-Files revival won’t be a hard reboot, but a continuation. This is also the track they are taking for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival. We haven’t heard yet from David Duchovny about returning as Fox Mulder for Coogler’s potential new X-Files yet. But he’s always been less reluctant to come back, despite having left the original series after seven seasons initially. Hopefully, with the massive success of Sinners behind him, Ryan Coogler will have plenty of runway to bring his X-Files vision to life.

Andrew Lincoln Hints at THE WALKING DEAD Return

The Walking Dead is over but, as we know, the end of the flagship series that’s been in fans’ hearts for over a decade doesn’t mean this world is done. The show already has six spinoff series: Fear the Walking Dead, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Most of them are completed; however, there’s a couple that are continuing this franchise with more seasons.

Jump To: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 // The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 // TWD Crossover Event

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season Four Will Be the Final Round

Season three of Daryl Dixon’s series currently has the crossbow carrier and his pal Carol in Spain as they attempt to get back to America. He supposedly misses his friends and wants to reunite with Laurent, but Daryl just can’t stop getting into mess. It is his overall apocalypse vibe.

Previously, Norman Reedus spoke out of turn during a RadioTimes interview about a not-yet-announced season four of Daryl Dixon. “We’re about to start seasons 3 and possibly 4 in Spain,” he said. “I think I’m allowed to say that. I don’t know. I just said it. But I think we’re going to Spain, to Madrid, for that.”

Well, now we know that this series will have a fourth and final season. And, the series is actively filming as of September 24, which is interesting considering that Dead City is also filming as well. But the end of Daryl Dixon’s show doesn’t mean his story is over.

THE WALKING DEAD: DARYL DIXON Renewed for Fourth and Final Season

Daryl Dixon has been an incredible journey,” Reedus said in a statement. “I thank each and every fan who has joined us on this ride. It’s been a privilege to build this story for these characters, and we have so much gratitude for how it’s been embraced. Your love and support have made every moment worth it. This finale isn’t just an ending; it’s a celebration of what we’ve all shared together. Keep carrying that love forward – Daryl’s journey is far from over.”

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season Three Starts Filming

The Walking Dead: Dead City season two ended in a strange space. Maggie and Negan finally seem to have a legit truce and Herschel betrayed his own mother to be with Dama. New Babylon won the war and is taking over NYC and all of its resources. This sets things up for an interesting season three, which just started filming in the Boston area.

We don’t know much about what’s next, but there’s already casting news. Deadline reports that Jimmi Simpson will be a series regular in Dead City season three in an undisclosed role. The only thing we know is his character’s name is Dillard.

The Walking Dead‘s Potential Spinoff Crossover Event and The Ones Who Live‘s Future

As fans know, Rick Grimes was supposed to get three movies, but now it is the limited series alongside Michonne. The Ones Who Live is meant to wrap up their storylines; however, Gimple says there might be more story to tell. “Anything is possible…,” he said to Deadline. “We’re focused on this one right now. But this one came together in a really amazing way, where there were all sorts of plans. And then the world changed and we altered those plans.”

Rick Grimes sits against a wall with his right hand visible and blood on his face in the ones who live walking dead spinoffAMC Networks

We obviously know now (and honestly always knew) that Rick did not die in his spinoff. He got to reunite with Judith and meet Rick, Jr., but there are so many reunions that need to happen. Morgan is out there looking for Rick, Daryl will eventually return to the US, and there’s the rest of his found family back home along with Laurent in the Commonwealth. All signs seem to be pointing to a crossover event, which Gimple wants to happen.

“I do have dreams of merging this all together, and I have laid little breadcrumbs toward that, but you never know exactly when and how [it will come together], because of a variety of reasons,” he told TVLine. As long as The Walking Dead franchise is getting money and attention from fans, it will surely keep making more spinoff content. That’s fine with us but please, please don’t follow the comics and kill Rick Grimes if you bring him back in the future.

With Norman Reedus wanting to play Daryl Dixon for several more years, it wouldn’t be shocking if he crossed into some future spinoff series. I wouldn’t mind a Daryl and Connie miniseries. Perhaps he will somehow come across Maggie and/or Negan in their show. Or, maybe he will be the gateway to introduce us to a new character to follow. A crossover event would likely put him front and center as one of this universe’s leading men.

Even Andrew Lincoln slyly said in a recent interview that there are conversations about a Rick Grimes return. For now, he’s living peacefully and whatever happens, it better remain that way.

A lot is happening in The Walking Dead universe and there will surely be more details about other spinoffs if they happen. There’s plenty left to explore in the land of the dead, so let’s keep walking right towards these spinoffs.

FOURTH WING TV Series Taps WEDNESDAY EP Meredith Averill as Showrunner

In October 2023, we learned that Amazon MGM Studios and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society will be bringing to life a TV series based on Rebecca Yarros’ popular fantasy series, Fourth Wing. This overall deal includes all the books from the Fourth Wing universe titled The Empyrean, including its sequel Iron Flame, the newly released Onyx Storm, and the two books slated to follow. We haven’t heard too much about the Prime Video Fourth Wing TV series since that time, but there have been a few updates, including a showrunner attached, Yarros’ thoughts on casting, and a few comments from 2025. Let’s take a look! Rebecca Yarros Fourth Wing Iron Flame BooksEntangled: Red Tower Books

The Fourth Wing TV Series Gets a New Showrunner, Meredith Averill

To date, only one person was attached to Prime Video Fourth Wing TV series adaptation, and that person was Moira Walley-Beckett, who wrote on Breaking Bad and wrote and created Anne with an E. Walley-Beckett was meant to serve as showrunner. But she recently left the series. Then, we heard that WandaVision and Agatha All Along‘s Jac Schaeffer would reportedly serve as showrunner on live-action Fourth Wing series. But now that seems to no longer be the case, as Deadline reports that Wednesday season two executive producer Meredith Averill will be the showrunner for the Fourth Wing fantasy TV series.

Rebecca Yarros Has Shared the Plot of the Whole Series with the TV Series Team

Someone out there knows what’s going to happen in the book four and beyond of Fourth Wing and that’s the live-action TV show team. Yarros notes that she shared the five-book arc with at-the-time showrunner Moira Walley-Beckett and the team at Amazon so they could create the TV series from an informed place.

Yarros reveals, “So they have the five-book arc, which went a little awry in Book 3 just because the positioning, but they already know that. But they have the five-book arc and the general big points of what happens in between each book, but they don’t have the specifics between Book 4 and Book 5, because I’m getting ready to go to my crazy plotting board and plot out every single event that happens in each book, so that I make sure that I’m within my two books there. But they have general ideas. And Moira is great. She’s phenomenal.”

Fourth Wing TV Series Casting: Rebecca Yarros Confirms Xaden Will Be Played By a Person of Color

So far, there has been no official casting news for the Fourth Wing TV adaptation. However, speaking to Variety, author Rebecca Yarros gave some insight into the casting of one important character in the live-action adaptation.

Here’s what Yarros had to say about who would be cast as Xaden, the main love interest, in the Fourth Wing TV series: “We’re just going to say he’s [Xaden] POC; we’re just going to leave it at that. I didn’t rise to the bait of a lot of those posts, which I think probably got me some flack, but I knew we were already in development for TV, and I want to make sure that role is open to as much diversity as possible. So I was never going to give the readers my vision because I know that once you give the readers your vision, that’s what they’re gonna stick to. And I wanted to make sure we left it open to as much diversity as possible.”

Yarros further noted, “Outlier is such a great production company, and they have a wonderful diversity and inclusion rider, one of the first companies to have them, which is why I was so joyful because I knew they would respect the diversity of the cast.”

On the heels of the release of the third book in the Fourth Wing series, Onyx Storm, Rebecca Yarros gave a few non-update updates to Elle. She spoke of the TV series version of Fourth Wing just enough to let us know that it was still progressing and in the works. Talking about what she could share about the show, Yarros revealed that she could say… nothing. She noted “I’m so new to this industry. I will Tom Holland it,” referencing, of course, the actor’s propensity to spill MCU secrets. Additionally, Yarros reveals she has not yet met Michael B. Jordan. She joked, “I’d probably just keel over and die.”

We’ll keep this article updated as more news from the Fourth Wing TV series arrives. For now, we’ll content ourselves with flipping open Onyx Storm.

ALIEN: EARTH Turned Xenomorphs Into Trained Pets

ALIEN: EARTH Turned Xenomorphs Into Trained Pets_1

In the decades since the Alien franchise began, we’ve never seen the Xenomorphs as anything but pure killing machines. It was the shark in Jaws, only more terrifying-looking. And much like the shark in Jaws, it only wanted to kill and breed. But now, Alien: Earth has shown us that there might be more to the Xenomorph than previously thought. By the end of the season finale, we see that Wendy/Marcy, the prototype hybrid with a synthetic body and a human consciousness, actually controls a newborn Xeno. Almost as a kind of pet. Not only can she talk to it, but it does her bidding. It doesn’t have a cute name though…yet.

Wendy (Sydney Chandler) communicates with a newborn Xenomorph.FX

In earlier episodes of the season, we saw as Wendy (Sydney Chandler) was able to “talk” to the newborn Xenomorph, which was held in a holding cell at Prodigy’s Neverland Research Facility. In the penultimate episode, we saw that Wendy can do a lot more than just communicate with the aliens. She can also ask them to do things for her. She asks the Xeno if it can protect her and her friends from a military attack, and it rips into the soldiers like they were tissue paper. By making the right sounds at the frequency the Xenos use, she can effectively talk to them. It definitely seems to like her and it obeys her commands.

Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and Joe (Alex Lawther) sense an attack on Alien: Earth.FX

In the season finale, “The Real Monsters,” we see the Xenomorph obeying Wendy’s commands was not just a one-time thing. The alien follows Wendy and her fellow Lost Boys around like a loyal pet. Actually, perhaps the proper term is loyal attack dog. By the season finale, we see that the Xeno totally obeys Wendy’s orders. And it even walks around her like a loyal puppy. If that loyal puppy had acid for blood and could tear your throat out, that is. The Xeno attacks and kills several soldiers trying to get to it. All Wendy has to do is point it in the right direction, and it goes to town.

By episode’s end, Wendy and her fellow hybrid children have Boy Kavalier and the Prodigy scientists in a cell. Circling the cell is the Xenomorph, climbing the walls like a cat ready to pounce. We know just how deadly a killing machine the alien is, after multiple films showing us. But this is the first time it’s ever seem to have any affinity to another lifeform. Is it because the hybrids are technically not alive, and therefore not potential incubators or food? Maybe the Xenos were just always waiting for someone to come along and just talk to them, like Wendy/Marcy now has. If only someone had told Ellen Ripley, you just have to treat it like she did her cat, Jones.

The Xenomorph hides in the jungle on Alien: Earth.FX

The Alien films, which take place after this series, don’t ever suggest the Xenomorphs can do anything but breed and kill. But the one on this series sure seemed to take a liking to Wendy. Is it an anomaly? Is she somehow a humanoid Xenomorph Queen? Certainly, the other films go way ahead in time and never suggest the creatures are sentient, much less obedient to anyone or anything, other than the Queen. We’ll have to wait to see how this new wrinkle in the Xenomorph/hybrid relationship plays out in future seasons, should we get them. Our fingers are crossed.

The entire first season of FX’s Alien: Earth is now available to stream on Hulu.

All the Wild Developments in the ALIEN: EARTH Finale

All the Wild Developments in the ALIEN: EARTH Finale_1

Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth ended up being one of the best chapters in this 45-year-old franchise, just beneath Alien and Aliens. And we’re saying this as people who really liked last year’s Alien: Romulus. However, Alien: Earth expanded the universe in new and exciting ways that we just never saw coming. Now, the season finale has been released on FX, and it had several wild moments that had us on the edge of our seats waiting for a season two announcement. Here are some of the most exciting developments from the big finale, “The Real Monsters.”

Hybrids Can Control Synths

While we’ve long suspected it, “The Real Monsters” finally confirmed that Boy Kavalier’s right-hand man and trusted council, Atom Eins (Adrian Edmondson), is actually a synth. Under his boss’s orders, he attempts to “feed” Joe (Alex Lawther), the brother of hybrid Wendy (Sydney Chandler) to the T. Ocellus, a.k.a. the eye monster, giving it a new human host. He leaves Joe in a room with the sheep the eye currently resides in, and the eye rips itself out of the evil sheep (RIP, judgmental sheep), and tries to get into Joe. But his sister Wendy shows up and saves him.

Prodigy synth Atom Eins (Adrian Edmondson) on Alien: Earth.FX

All of this leads to the reveal that Atom is actually a synth, and he and Wendy begin to fight. Here is where things get interesting, though. Wendy reveals she can control all electronic devices—including synths. She literally “freezes” Atom Eins, knocking him down. In a creepy detail, we see Atom’s eyes still moving, letting us know he’s fully conscious inside his frozen body. But we now know the full extent of Wendy’s powers. Not only can she communicate and direct the Xenomorphs, she controls other synths too. She’s now the most dangerous being in the Alien franchise’s history.

The Cyborg vs. Synth FightThe Prodigy synth Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant) and the Weyland-Yutani cyborg Morrow (Babou Ceesay) on Alien: Earth.FX

This episode doesn’t just give us synths vs. hybrids, but we also get a brutal synth vs. cyborg fight. The Weyland-Yutani cyborg Mr. Morrow (Babou Ceesay) escapes his cell, thanks to the help of Joe Hermit and Wendy. He goes to retrieve the alien species from the labs to bring them back to his boss, Yutani. But waiting in the lab is the synth Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant). The two had a vicious brawl, and it for a moment, it feels like Morrow gets the upper hand on Kirsh, breaking his back over a table. (There’s a lot of gross milky white android blood.) But then Kirsh gets Morrow in a chokehold, and because he’s part human, this knocks him out. So for now, it’s Synths-1, Cyborgs-0.

Goodbye Evil Sheep, Hello Eyeball ZombieThe tentacled octopus eye alien from Alien: Earth.FX

Poor Dr. Arthur Sylvia (David Rysdahl). First, he gets fired by Boy Kavalier for refusing to follow his orders when it comes to memory wiping one of the hybrids. He then gets sabotaged by Kirsh to get attacked by a facehugger, which plants its embryo inside him. When he awakes on the beach outside Neverland Research Facility, the chestburster alien pops out of him, leaving his corpse on the beach. Later, his body suffers more indignity as it slips into the ocean. But in the finale, it washes up ashore, rotting in the sun. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the eye monster, now free of the sheep, finds a home inside his corpse. Thus, it gives us our first zombie in the Alien franchise.

Hybrid DominationWendy (Sydney Chandler) and her brother Joe (Alex Lawther) in Alien: EarthFX

The finale also ended on quite a cliffhanger. Wendy and her fellow hybrids (with the help of her human brother, Joe), get the upper hand on Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin) and his forces on Neverland. She puts Boy, Dame Sylvia, the broken body of Kirsh, Atom, and Mr. Morrow tied up in a cell. With her fellow hybrids at her side, she also lets her prisoners know that she has the Xenomorph at her beck and call, like a loyal lapdog. When Curly asks her what they intend to do next, she simply says, “Now we rule.” As far as we know, in Alien and Aliens, hybrids don’t rule the world. Or do they?? Actually, we never see who runs the Company in the films. But it could be hybrids. We’ll have to wait until a potential season two of Alien: Earth.

The full first season of Alien: Earth is now streaming on Hulu.

Robert Pattinson Could Play the Lead in Hideo Kojima’s PHYSINT

Hideo Kojima has just revealed new visuals and casting announcements for the upcoming PlayStation exclusive Physint—and fans already have some big speculations on who will play the lead. Here’s a first look at the debut poster.

Robert Pattinson Could Play the Lead in Hideo Kojima’s PHYSINT_1Kojima Productions

Kojima revealed the poster earlier today at a Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary event in Japan, along with a teaser trailer for OD: Knock. The game serves as a successor to the Metal Gear Solid series.

The poster shows a man in a coat carrying a gun, his face shrouded by shadow as he walks away from a dark cityscape. He also appears to have what could be a bionic arm. But what has fans talking the most is the character’s likeness to none other than Robert Pattinson, whom many now speculate will play the lead. Is there any truth to this? Who knows, but the evidence is there.

The Similarities Are Uncannyrobert pattinson in the batmanWarner Bros. Pictures

The most compelling piece of evidence is the poster’s striking resemblance to the actor—and it is a little uncanny. If you were to show me the poster without any prior knowledge, I guarantee I would probably say, “hey, that kind of looks like Robert Pattinson.” The cheekbones, the small bump at the top of the nose, the hair—it’s all very similar to that of Pattinson.

Kojima Has Favorites

With Robert Pattinson. pic.twitter.com/BKJz1EHqN9

— HIDEO_KOJIMA (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) May 18, 2025

Kojima palled around with Pattinson at the Cannes Film Festival just four months ago, so we know the two know each other to some degree. We also know Kojima is a fan of Pattinson, as he publicly expressed his love for the popular actor before. It wouldn’t be shocking for him to bring the Batman star on board.

Sure, their encounter at Cannes could be as simple as two friends catching up. What adds suspicion here is that Kojima has been very tight-lipped about what they spoke about. When asked about it, Kojima simply said, “There are things I can’t really say here.” The secrecy led people to believe Pattinson may be involved in an upcoming project (ah, now it’s all coming together).

Physint is still in early development, so (timeline-wise) it is very plausible the two may have been chatting about Pattinson’s role in the upcoming espionage action game. It is definitely in the actor’s repertoire, as he is known for playing diverse characters and doing unique voicework.

It’s still unclear whether the former (and future) masked hero will star in the game. However, Kojima has officially announced three other cast members: Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One), Charlee Fraser (Furiosa), and Don Lee (Eternals).

There is still no announced release date for Physint, but fans can expect the potential launch date to be sometime around 2030. With a cloud of uncertainty enveloping who will play the game’s lead, it will surely be interesting to see what develops. I, for one, think the Robert Pattinson theory stands on solid ground. Only time will tell.
