In the top free Kindle books lists
it is currently

Britain: #2 in Short Stories, #11 in Horror
USA: #8 in Short Stories
Canada: #5 in Short Stories
Germany: #10 in English Language Short Stories, #35 in English Language Horror
Italy: #5 in Short Stories

Surprisingly, in Italy it's also #5 in in Children's Stories. At least, that's what I think it means (libri per bambini...racconti).
Ahem. I wouldn't recommend these stories to young readers without parental guidance.

Does this make 'Storm Dancer' a 'Bestseller'?

I'm so excited! My dark epic fantasy novel Storm Dancer is suddenly shooting up in the bestseller lists.

At the moment, it's #422 at Barnes and Noble - out of the millions of books sold at B&N!

And on Amazon, it's near the top of two genre bestseller lists (#7 Historical Fantasy and #28 in Epic Fantasy).

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, glued to the monitor, watching the bestseller lists change hourly. I wonder if Storm Dancer will climb any further, or whether it has gone as far is it will go.

The price for the ebook is reduced from $4.99 to $0.99 until 1 June; no doubt this special offer has much to do with the sudden boost.
The paperback is at the standard price.

If you want to buy the book (while it's on special offer), here are the links:

Amazon Error Alert

Has anyone been charged $4.99 for 'Storm Dancer' while it was on sale for $0.99? If yes, I'll personally refund you for Amazon's error.

(Please repost this if possible, to help me reach the people who were affected)

Free Book Due to Amazon Glitch

This is weird.

"The Colour of Dishonour - Stories from the Storm Dancer World" shows as free when some people visit Amazon.com... but others see it at the normal price of $2.99.

The "free" is probably due to a price match issue. But it's not consistent. Not everyone gets the book free when they look.

To make this even more bizarre, "The Colour of Dishonour - Stories from the Storm Dancer World" is #12 in Kindle Free Fantasy Anthologies. Yet when people click to through to the book, only about a quarter get it free.

I guess it's just one of those things.
:-D

I have no idea who will get it free and how long this will last.

Anyway, if it's free when you look, feel free to snap it up.
