Whatever Wednesday
Here we are again on "Hump Day" (thank you, Kenneth Hightower) for another addition of "Whatever Wednesday" (thank you, Johnetta. lol) I still haven't settled on a name, so I'm going with both, for now. Today, I get to choose a random thing, since it's "Whatever Wednesday". I am going with an all-time favorite, the Mirror World series, by Cornelia Funke. Reckless, is the first book in the series, followed by, Fearless. Cornelia Funke has an amazing imagination. She also wrote the Inkheart series and Dragon Rider, which inspired, Eragon, by Christopher Paolini. I have already read the first two in this series and the third book, Heartless, is due out any time now. I know that it's out in the German version, I'm just waiting on the English translation. If you don't do anything else today, you need to check out her website. It's cool! http://mirrorworldnovels.com/

Long Hill Home is a story of crime, mystery, and the legal process—but it is also a story about the human condition, and how, regardless of vast differences in background or circumstances, all people strive for the same things—love, security, and a fulfilling life. You can check out Kathryn's book on Amazon. Also, head over to her page and give it a Like, so that you can keep up with what she may be writing in the future. https://www.facebook.com/kathrynpincu...

Whatever Wednesday
Today, is "Whatever Wednesday" and I chose a lady who writes poetry, Tamara Woods. Her book, The Shaping of an Angry Black Woman, is a collection of poems that takes a look at life, written over a fifteen year span. It is flawed oddities, beauty foiled with ugliness. Tamara has a video here on Goodreads that you can watch, where she reads one of her poems about infertility. It is really good. Please head over to her Facebook page and give her a Like, or you can check out her book and watch her video, here on Goodreads.

Thriller Thursday
It's "Thriller Thursday" and I have found a jewel for you. Author, Carol Ervin, has a very interesting book that I am definitely putting on my "to read" list. It's called, Girl on the Mountain.
When her husband disappears, young May Rose is stranded in a rough town owned by a company logging the last of West Virginia’s virgin forest. It’s 1899, and a woman alone has few options. As she struggles to sustain herself, she discovers people are not what they seem--not the husband who wooed her with stories and songs, not the wild, dirty child, the sullen cook, nor the stiff boardinghouse proprietor, and certainly not the company manager, pillar of the town. But May Rose is also not the obedient woman she once was. She’s been scorned as the girl on the mountain, the subject of shocking stories, yet there’s more to her than anyone expected. To survive, she must distinguish friend from foe, defend herself from predatory men and boys, and prove herself a person of value. Most important, she must believe that love is never wasted.
You can find Carol's book here on Goodreads and also Amazon. Please head over to her Facebook page and give her a Like. http://www.amazon.com/…/dp/B00941HNC4...

SciFi Monday
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Today, is "Scifi Monday" and time to highlight another author. Well-known author, Ike Hamill, writes some amazing books. His books are a blend of Scifi, paranormal and suspense. His book, Extinction, looks really good and has been placed on my "to-read" list.
Channel Two predicted a blanket of snow for Thanksgiving weekend--unusual, but not alarming for the little Maine island. What comes is a blinding blizzard, and a mass disappearance of nearly every person Robby Pierce knows. He and his family flee, trying to escape the snow and the invisible forces stealing people right from the street. Miles away, Brad Jenkins battles the same storm. Alone, he attempts to survive as snow envelops his house. When the storm breaks, Brad makes his way south to where the snow ends and the world lies empty. Join Brad, Robby, and the other survivors as they fight to find the truth about the apocalypse and discover how to live in their new world.
