Exciting Announcement: The Willow Harbor Series

Hi, everyone! I’m emerging from my writing cave where I am *almost* finished with Deep Dark Secrets to tell you about an exciting new series that is going to be launching this fall. The Willow Harbor Series is something I’ve been working on for the past seven or eight months with some of my very best writing friends–Alyssa Rose Ivy, Jennifer Snyder, and Juliana Haygert. You might remember the Midnight Kiss novella collection we worked on together several years ago. If you’ve read my story, A...

Dear Readers: An Honest Update From Sarra

Sarra CannonMy Dearest Readers,

I’m here. I know I haven’t been around much on social media for the past month, but I wanted to let you all know that I’m still here. I’m still writing. I’m still doing my best.

I’ve been thinking a lot over the past few days about what I wanted to say to you all when I came back after a much-needed break from most of my social media, and I found out that it’s really complicated. I have some pretty heavy things going on in my life, but they are also intensely personal. On...

A Quick Demons Update

Hey, everyone! I know the big question on everyone’s mind when it comes to my books is “When is the next Shadow Demons Saga book coming out?”. Believe me, I completely understand how difficult it can be to wait for a book that you’re dying to read, and I’m so incredibly grateful that you guys are excited about Beyond The Darkness. I had hoped to have a release date ready for you by the end of this month, but here we are on the last day of February, and I’m sad to say that I’m not ready to ann...

New Release!!! The Trouble With I Do, Fairhope 6

The Trouble With I DoThe final book in my Fairhope series, The Trouble With I Do, is out today! Gosh, you guys, this book was such a labor of love. It is probably the most vulnerable I have been in a book since The Trouble with Goodbye, and I think it’s because Leigh Anne is so much like me in so many ways. The book is pure fiction, of course, but I guess there’s a piece of me in every major heroine I write. Maybe Leigh Anne a little bit extra :).

The Trouble With I Do comes full circle, returning us to the first...

Celebrating 6 Years of Indie Publishing

Six Year Indieversary

Happy Book Birthday to Beautiful Demons!!!! It was exactly six years ago today that my very first novel was published. I was excited and so in love with Harper and the story I had created, but I had no idea that Beautiful Demons would resonate with so many people! My first full month, I sold something like 59 copies of that first book, and I was on cloud nine! Someone was reading my book!! Of course, I knew back then that it was mostly friends and family, but I didn’t care. I had done somet...

Tracking NaNo WriMo Word Count in My Bullet Journal

Bullet Journal NaNoWriMo Spreads

It’s almost that most magical time of year — NaNo WriMo!!! For those of you not familiar with NaNo, it stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it comes around every November. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Whew, trust me when I say this is not easy!! But you can also trust me when I say it’s incredibly fun.

I participated in NaNo WriMo for the first time back in 2007, shortly after I quit my job teaching music at an Elementary School in order to pursue my lifelong...

September Update – What’s Coming Next?

Hi, everyone!! You may have noticed that I’ve been awfully quiet most of the summer. I made a post where I got super excited about everything I was working on back in June, and then I promptly hit a major wall. Basically, everything I said back then has needed to be completely revamped and reworked, but this is the way itgoes when you are living a creative life. Sometimes it’s just not easy to create, and you have to learn to roll with the punches and try to keep your head up.

I don’t want to...

Project Update!

Hey, everyone! I’ve been getting a crazy amount of emails asking me when books are coming out, so I thought it might be a good time to just go through my upcoming projects and let you guys know what’s going on and how far out I am on each book.First, there are a few things to always keep in mind with me. :) 1) I am ALWAYS writing something. Even when I take a ” vacation”, I’m writing or working on developing a story. 2) I am not the fastest writer in the world, though, and I like to make sure t...

Forgotten Darkness Release

forgotten_ebook

Can love forget?

The battle against the emerald priestess turned the peace at Brighton Manor into ashes. Lea and Aerden are prisoners in the King’s City. Jackson is out of his mind with grief and anger. And Harper—the one who once united them all—is gone.

Before they can regain their freedom and find their way back to one another, they will each have to face their past and fight to claim a better future.

But for one of them, it may already be too late.
