April Is For #Vampires: The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod by Heather Brewer

One of the recent YA vampire series that I've enjoyed is The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod by Heather Brewer. I enjoy a lot of things about this series, including the fact that it doesn't shy away from action. The characters are great and I think this is probably the first vampire series that was originally targeted at teen boys. The main characters are guys, including the title character, Vladimir

Adventures in Epublishing: March Sales Round Up

I have to say, despite not pulling huge numbers, March was a great month. I met 2 of my 3 goals. I made $200 in profit and I broke even on my investment on Into the Shadows. My third goal was to sell 100 ebooks, which I fell slightly short on.

Here's the breakdown for March:

Ebooks - 93
Amazon.com - 34
Amazon UK - 1
BarnesandNoble.com - 56
Smashwords.com -2
Total: $186.54

Paperbacks Online -5

April Is For #Vampires: Vlad Dudes Part II

Today we're going to take a look at the first two films to be made about Dracula.

The first was a German silent film in 1922 called Nosferatu staring Max Schreck (which is funny because schreck means fright or terror in German). This dude packed enough creepy in his Count Orlok, which was a rip-off of Stoker's Dracula. Stoker's wife sued the German studio that made the film, and it was then

April Is For #Vampires: Bram Stoker's Dracula (the novel)

In 1897, an Irishman named Bram Stoker published a little book that would shape our vampire world for the next century and beyond. I'm sure he had no idea at the time that the book he wrote would have such far reaching influence. I'm sure if we were to dig up ol' Brammy today, he'd be rather shocked to see the culture of vampires that continues to haunt and delight the public. Although there had

April Is For #Vampires: Vlad Dudes

Vlad III the Impaler of Transylvania (1431-1476), or Vlad Dracula was the original bad boy. Now of course he wasn't a real vampire, but his sadistic and horrific way of torturing and impaling his enemies, criminals, or anyone who pissed him off gave Bram Stoker the ideal person to base his vampire off of.

A born and bred bad-ass, Vlady-kins was known for impaling not just a few, but tens of
