Hot Summer Romance Giveaway Grand Prize Winners

Thank you to everyone who commented on their funniest, sweetest, most heart-melting, truly adorable, or most memorable loveable moment. Even if I didn't comment on each one, and i know I didn't, I read them all and loved every one! Some of your responses made me smile, some made me misty-eyed. And all reminded me that no matter what, love is more than words and more than anyone can ever truly say.

On that sappy note, I have some winners!

Friday Recipe: Ice Cream Sundae Pie

Because it's hot. Damned hot out there! My pie (cake) didn't come out quite as picturesque as the one in the All Recipes picture. I think they photoshopped that one...or had more patience or less humidity than I did. Hard to tell. But that picture, and the coolness it offered, was the reason I tried this!

Ingredients: 1 cup finely crushed chocolate wafers1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts1/4 cup butter, softened1 cup heavy cream 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar1 quart vanilla ice cream, softene...

Friday Recipe: Chicken and Rice L'orange

My mom forwarded this to me last week from Better Recipes. I think it came out pretty tasty! OK, the only marmalade I had was sweet orange marmalade, so it was really sweet, but otherwise the chicken was moist, the recipe easy, and I had all the ingredients in my kitchen! Next time I'd definitely use regular.

Ingredients:
1 cupUncooked Rice1 cupOrange Juice1 cupWater1 tspSalt⅓ cupGolden Raisins3 TbspButter, divided¼ cup slicedAlmonds (didn't use them, don't like the flavor of almonds in cookin...

#bookblast Genie Gabriel and the Halo Legacy Series

About the Author:
I'm an optimist whose rose-colored glasses have bent frames and cracked lenses. When life kicks me in the teeth, I find miracles and lessons I refused to learn an easier way. In fact, I live with a small herd of miracles in the furry forms of dogs, who are constantly trying to teach me to forgive, to play more, and to love without limits. I write about people who find courage and integrity in the darkest times of their lives, who rescue stray dogs and kittens, who find a per...

Friday Recipe: Blackberry-Bourbon Lemonade

I was tooling around the internet looking for tasty drinks for the 4th cookouts. I found this Blackberry-Bourbon originally on the Better Homes and Gardens site but it was a video and I prefer my recipes to be in text. No, I don't know why. So I searched again and found Eat, Love, Drink and their recipe.

Let me tell you, the drink was delicious!

Makes 4 servings
2 c blackberries2 c waterjuice from 3 lemonsBrown sugar simple syrup: dissolve 1/2 c sugar in 1/2 c water6 oz bourbonoptional lemon wed...

Plagiarism: the latest scandal

In case there's any doubt: plagiarism is bad! And if you think you won't be caught...think again.

I'd read a quick bit of this last week at Dear Author but then realized one of the Goodreads groups I belonged to was actually the group these plagiarists had created! This is from Some Like it Hot , the Goodreads group that developed out of the one created by the plagiarist(s):
The people that we know were involved are:
* Jordin Williams
* Jordin Bishop
* James Bishop
* Liz Thomas
* Emily Curran
* Beth K...
