DIARY COMICS #5. 44 black and white pages, color cover, printed in my office on the same clanky old Dell laserjet I’ve printed all my comics on since 2006 or so. Just $5, available for sale here. I have been thinking hard about how I make comics, and more importantly why I make comics, and these comics represent the beginnings of that shift. I like the direction–you may not, or you may. That is up to you! But–increasingly–the art that makes me excited is the stuff where I can sense the artist wrestling something, whether they have it beaten yet or not. Or.. maybe another way to look at it is art where I sense my wrestling in their work? Huh, that’s worth thinking about. At any rate. My point is it seems unlikely that you won’t enjoy these comics, at $5 a pop for 44 pages + a little sketch.

Hi, remember me? I still owe many people little watercolors from my “stimulus package” offer of a couple months ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m choogling along on those, and should be sending out a few dozen of them this week. There were 100 in all before I cut it off to preserve my sanity, and I’m trying to make them worth the investment and the wait. Not all of them are amazing, but occasionally I accidentally draw one this good. Thanks for your patience!
