JEAN GIRAUD.
A “Persons Of Interest” drawing. You can get your own here, as my schedule allows, and see all the ones thus far here. Short version is I’ll draw any famous/widely recognizable figure, fictional or historical or just popular, just once.
AND! I’ve opened up 10 more Persons Of Interest slots, if you’ve been thinking about getting one. I’m caught up on orders except for a couple of pieces I’m working on now, so you’ll be first in line until you’re not anymore! Get yours right here.

GARBYNOSIS!
Note: this is not part of my $100 dinosaur commission offer, but my friend Joe Decie’s son Sam sent me a cool drawing of a dinosaur he made up, and I wanted to send him and Joe something as thanks, both for the drawing and for a bunch of Ronald Searle books Joe had sent me, so I decided to follow budding paleontologist Sam’s lead, and work up what the fabled Garbynosis might look like, in the style of my book. I would not want to run into this fellow while tramping around the wilds of prehistoric Southeast England, let me tell you.

For a limited time, I’m going to take dinosaur commissions, in the style of my book Behold! The Dinosaurs! You can order here. There’s a $200 option for the larger dinosaurs, to scale on 11″ x 17″ bristol instead of 8″ x 10″. When I was doing the book, the big guys like Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus took four billion years to draw and obsessively hatch, but they were pretty impressive originals. I have 10 slots open now, and 2 oversize slots.

Hello, I bought one of your Small Drawings books (cover is woods with a fox on a motorcycle) at MICE last fall. And I'm just wondering if you could tell me about your materials and process. Specifically what paper (watercolor? bristol board?) and utensils
Hey Geoff, thanks. Can I say right off the bat that materials don’t matter very much! All materials are good for is ensuring a predictable outcome, so let the materials you choose suit the mark you want to make. End of story!
Epilogue: I draw very small, more or less exclusively with a Hunt 108 nib and a Tachikawa T-77 nib, and Dr Ph Martin’s Black Star matte ink. And on Strathmore 500 bristol board.
