I am so excited about my newest book! It is much darker than the previous books that were primarily for kids. This book is “The Giver” meets “Divergent” with a little “Truman Show”. Even though it is a fairly dark novel, it has no swearing, sex, or gratuitous violence. It's an adventure story in which a couple of teenagers create their own community. They have a huge dome built, and bring in pregnant women who are willing to give up their children for a price. As they grow older, those children make up the society in which the creators see nothing wrong with deceiving an entire population about its environment. As the creators grow older, things start to go wrong. This fantasy novel explores the very real emotions that erupt when agency and freedom are snatched away.
