Erin Baker misses her two friends, Honey Potts and Rhiannon Lyons. They disappeared off the face of the Earth. New Contract for Vampire Tale

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know I have finally finished my first vampire story, which has been accepted and contracted by Solstice Publishing: Solstice at Night. This erotic paranormal, vampire, adult romance, story I have titled Amber's Blood Mates. I actually made up words for my Blood Mate Bonding Vows with a few suggestions from my wonderful daughter, and thought I would give you a peek at them. This is how the Blood Mate bonding Vows read:

Beloved you are to us.

Loved you will be.

Ours to protect and love for eternity.

Open your mind and you will see.

Death is not the darkness you perceive.

Mate with us body and mind.

All the love we have for thee.

I have also just finished a sequel to my Eagle River Alpha book and submitted it to my publisher, Solstice Publishing, to hopefully send me a contract for it. Keep you fingers crossed for me. I also have another sequel to my first vampire story in mind, for my Blood Mate Series but have not started it as yet.

I have been working flat-out for the last four weeks or more, and need to give my sore arms a bit of a break. I am pleased to announce Erin's Alien Abductors will be released tomorrow or early next week.

Guest Author Becky Wilde

I am pleased to welcome Guest Author Becky Wilde, a prolific bestselling author of Paranormal, Contemporary, and Western Menage Erotica.

1. What inspired you to begin writing?

Hm, well actually, I was rather ill when I decided to quit my day job and decided to follow my dream of writing. I suffer from depression and anxiety and was very unhappy with my day to day life. I spoke to my then, team leader, who asked me what I really wanted to do and told her I wanted to write. She was fantastic and said then what are you doing here? Go home get yourself together and write, which is what I did. I had wanted to be a writer since I was a teenager, but let the pressure of society steer me into a conventional job for over twenty years. Goodness what a waste of time, but I suppose I was contributing to the household as well as still keeping house, rearing my kids, playing doctor and psychologist, you know, the stuff every Mom does. I finally got so ill I was on the verge of a nervous break down, and decided enough was enough. So here I am today, happy as a pig in s#&* doing what I always wanted to do. I am living the life I have always dreamed of and have never been happier. I will never, ever go back to a conventional nine to five job. I am having the time of my life.

2. What was the inspiration behind the characters in your most recent release?

My latest novella sized story released was Passion Victoria Nikki's Awakening. The inspiration behind the characters I would have to say was my imagination. What woman wouldn't want tall, sexy, handsome, muscular hunks to lean on. I know everyone is different and all women are independent in their own way in our modern times, but it is so nice to think we can have a hero, two, three or more whom we can lean on and look to for comfort and love.

3. Which character did you have the most fun writing in this story?

I would have to say Bear, (nickname for Brandon). He epitomizes the rugged muscular, dominant sexy, male but he actually was the softest of the three men in the Passion Victoria Nikki's Awakening Series. His size was an intimidation if you didn't know him well but underneath he was just a giant cuddly teddy bear.

4. What would you say the difference is between Erotica and Pornography?

Erotica has a story to it. Yes the sex scenes are hot enough to sizzle your underwear off, lol, but their is always a story with a happy ever after ending or a happy for now ending. Pornography is sex for the sake of sex. To me pornography has no emotions to it; it's like scratching an itch you may have at the time. To me erotica has emotion and I think all females are more turned on by emotion as well as the physical, rather than just sex for the sake of sex.

5. What is your biggest inspiration as a writer?

I've read thousands of romances over the years from Nora Roberts, Julie Garwood to erotic authors. I was in awe of their ability to draw extremely vivid pictures and emotions with words and knew this is what I wanted to do as well. I decided to start off with erotic romance and I have also written a conventional romance in an anthology with other Solstice Publishing Authors called Haunted Dreams and Vignettes. I wanted to be able to let readers escape into a world of laughter, tears, sex and of course the most important ingredient in a story, love. The ability to be able to weave a story and have people emailing asking when the next of the series is coming out still blows my mind. It is a very humbling experience. It's still very surreal to have readers, fans, emailing me in regards to my stories, WOW. What an amazing thing to have sent to me, a normal every day life, mom and wife.

6. What literary projects can we expect from you in the future?

I have actually another three contracts with Solstice Publishing on the erotic side Solstice at Night, for the last of my science fiction trilogy called Erin's Alien Abductors as well as another story for my PV series called Passion Victoria Hailey's Secret. Also I have written another werewolf story called Eagle River Alpha which is totally different and I hope a lot better than my first werewolf series Sugar Creek. I eventually want to try my hand at an historical romance and I am currently, approximately, half way through a vampire story. I have so many stories in my head sometimes, I wish there were at least two of me. When I am on a roll, my writing takes precedence and my house gets neglected and vice versa. Maybe I should have three of me, lol.

7. What advice can you give to new writers trying to get published for the first time?

Never, ever give up. I had so many rejections before I was accepted by Solstice Publishing, I began to doubt myself. Don't let rejections get you down. Hopefully the rejection letters will give you an idea on why they didn't want your work at that time. Most of the rejection letters I received didn't say they didn't not like my work; it just wasn't appropriate for what they wanted at that given time. Learn from other authors, read, read and read some more. Read until you feel you are saturated with the genre you wish to write for. Plan out your characters and location and then write. Submit to all the publishers you can find, until you find the right one for you.

The first being fo the third installment of my Science Fiction Trilogy called Erin's Alien Abductors. The second is for the sixth book in my PV series, called Passion Victoria Hailey's Secret.
