Hi all,
Just a quick ramble about what I’ve been up to.
My first self-published book was released on Amazon, Kobo, Barnes and Noble and of course on Whimsical Words Publishing on the 16th of June. If you haven’t read Bratva Connection: Maxim pick up a copy from one of the platforms above.
Thank you to everyone who bought my book. If you did purchase Bratva Connection: Maxim, I would really appreciate it if you would leave a review. I value constructive criticism so I can improve, it is also a way for others to find my book on those platforms.
We made the book cover ourselves using a software platform and I love it.
As the release date drew closer and closer, I was so excited and nervous at the same time. Publishing one’s own work is a lot of work and also nerve wracking.
My husband has been awesome and I wish I could have shouldered some of the load by setting everything all the computer stuff up, but I’m sure you’re all aware I’m not very technologically savvy.
For months after work and on weekends my amazing man sat at his PC, set up a couple of websites and worked out how to do what was needed for me to publish my own books. Thankfully he has done an internet marketing course and he enjoys doing all this stuff even if at times it can be in his words, “frustrating”.
Hopefully, now that most of the hard work is done, things won’t be so busy for my husband.
I am planning on delivering this newsletter monthly. My thinking at this stage is to deliver a monthly wrap-up on the last Friday of that month. I know I missed that on this one, but we are still having technical complications that will hopefully iron out with regularity.
The format is not yet locked in. If you have any suggestions don’t hesitate to email me so I can see what you would like to read. I used to provide a reading recommendation as well as a book release update. I guess it will build and develop over time.
More Books
I’ve actually just finished writing the third instalment in my new series.
The second book is titled Bratva Connection: Boris.
The third story is titled Bratva Connection: Valentin.
I have a lot of work ahead of me, editing the stories not once, twice but three to four times. There are book covers to create and release dates to set.
I’m not sure when those dates will be just yet but I will keep you informed.
This is totally left field but I’ve also got a hankering to write a children’s book which I also want to self-publish under a different pseudonym to Becky Wilde.
Not sure what that will be as yet but I’ll think of something.
I actually wrote a chapter of a kid’s book a while ago but then the urge to write romance took hold and was too strong to ignore.
Going Forward
Not much has been happening here with us Downunder, other than work, work and more work.
My man and I are planning a camping trip away at the end of August, or early September.
We’re not sure exactly where we will be going, but we’ve decided to explore South Australia a bit more. I can’t wait to share this with you.
The capital of SA is Adelaide and we’ve been there numerous times over the years.
We’ve also travelled through SA without stopping much other than to sleep on our way to visit Uluru, but since we were time constrained because of work—which is the same as everyone else—we didn’t get time to stop and do the touristy things until we reached the Northern Territory. The trip home was pretty quick too. One day we have plans to work and travel at the same time but that probably won’t be anytime soon.
This time we’re just going to tour around the coast of SA beyond Adelaide and maybe further inland weather depending and our own spontaneity.

Max continually tells her that she’s in danger and is trying to protect her, but she doesn’t believe him.
Kara argues with and fights him at every turn, but she can’t seem to stay out of his bed no matter how hard she tries.
There’s more going on than she realises but she finds out far too late.

However, this particular Friday night, Rhiannon thinks maybe she has imbibed just a little too much, especially when she wakes up the next day with the memory of three bright lights being in her apartment the night before. When she does not recognize anything in the room, and then three gorgeous blue aliens show up and tell her she is on their space ship, she becomes convinced she is having alcohol and possibly stress-induced hallucinations. She refuses to believe that any of it, including that the blue men are real. To top it off, she goes into mating heat and forces her mates to have to do something drastic to keep her from being in excruciating pain. Will Rhiannon learn to trust and accept her mates? Will Honey be able to help her adjust to life on Calt? Or will the worst happen?
Wow! This is one super hot series! I loved reading Rhiannon’s story. In this book you get to learn even more about Calt and the culture there. You also learn more about Honey, and her mates which I found exhilarating. Ms. Wilde does an excellent job of drawing out the suspense of whether or not Rhiannon is going to be able to adjust to life on Calt. Also, she is able to clearly show the difference in personalities between Rhiannon and Honey. Sometimes when you read a series, the main characters do not seem to have too many differences when it comes to their personalities or the way they react to things. This can make the books seem like the same stories with just the names changed, not so with these! As with the first book Honey Potts and Her Alien Mates, the sex is eyebrow singing, but if you are like me, that just adds to the story. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and am eagerly awaiting it. I encourage anyone who loves science fiction romance to check these books out!

Honey Potts hates her name, after all who names their kid Honey with a last name like Potts? Honey's parents, former hippies could not resist apparently. Even though she hates her name she loves and misses her deceased parents. Fortunately for her she has her best friend, Rhiannon.
Sven, Cail, and Igor Malay are aliens and Honey's mates. With a shortage of women on their home world, the only way to find their mates in many cases is to go offworld. They had nearly given up hope before finding Honey.
When Honey comes out of her bathroom to discover three bright lights floating around her bedroom she is enchanted, rather than frightened. When the lights touch her hand she has a stunning orgasm and then passes out only to wake up in a room she has never seen before. Not long after, she meets Sven, Cail and Igor, who inform her she is their mate and that they are on their way to their home world of Calt. While the guys are truly gorgeous specimens, Honey is less than enthused with the way they have abducted her and taken away her choices, and she lets them know that in no uncertain terms. While they are able to convince her for the most part eventually, it is not long before things begin to go terribly wrong. Honey is very sad and not eating or sleeping much, which has her mates very worried. Why is Honey so sad? The brothers begin to worry that they may lose Honey forever if something does not change.
Honey Potts and Her Alien Mates is truly entertaining sci-fi romance! I started out not knowing if I was going to enjoy this story but about ten pages in, and I was totally hooked. Honey's reaction to her mates and her responses to them particularly when they baldly tell her she is their mate and they will not take her home totally had me cracking up. I do not think they quite realized just what her reaction was going to be. The sex scenes are stellar and very well written; I especially liked how Ms. Wilde linked the physical with the spiritual when it came to their sexual relationship. The world building is very well done, and I really loved the descriptions of Calt and its people, although I was able to really empathize with their shortage of women and how hard that must be on the men as well. This is a great story that I am really excited to recommend to anyone who loves sci-fi romance!
