I live in Southern California with my husband where we raised our two children. Our daughter has a cake decorating business, is married and the mother of three grown sons. Our son is an aerospace engineer who made watching The Big Bang Theory seem oddly familiar.
When I’m not writing I enjoy photography, painting, knitting and crocheting, and of course, reading. Together, my husband and I explore the question, "I wonder where that road goes?"

I had begun a new series set at a houseparty, but recently thought a short story or novella dealing with a character from the first Wolverton book would be a way to answer any questions about her fate. I originally thought Elizabeth would be a "bluestocking" whose educational pursuits would set her out from the common herd of young ladies. But educated women did sometimes take their place as wives of politicians and diplomats, so that idea didn't set enough of a challenge for her. I wanted her interests to be something unexpected that would be more difficult for the common Regency gentleman to overlook. In the end, I loved developing a character whose passion for her craft is as much a part of her as the role it plays in dealing with the difficulties she faces because of it.(less)
