I recently finished Whisper of Treasures and Lies and was not surprised that it was as intriguing as the first two of this series. Ms. Esden creates characters you care about while presenting a mystery that keeps you guessing. Over and above the situational antiques mystery the book is about, I want to know the truth about the mother and if she was really set up to be sent to prison (not a spoiler alert... we know from the beginning of the series that this is what the family believes) and who is behind it all. Each story stands alone in its mystery of the moment in the antiques world, but I doubt you can read one without seeking out the others for the family questions that lurk in the background. As soon as the next book is up for preorder I will order it. Write fast, Ms. Esden, I want to know what comes next.
