Salinas' firm, others swindled investors, regulators say

State and federal regulators filed separate actions against companies owned by local basketball booster David Salinas, claiming the firms peddled bogus corporate bond investments to clients and misled them about how their money was being invested. Market has bigger worries than the debt ceiling

The stock market seems unimpressed with the long-awaited deal to raise the debt ceiling.
