Across the Beer Bar with Kellie!

Across the Beer Bar with KellieWelcome to my Tap Room Kellie!Have a seat…What can I pour for you? As much as a beer would be good right about now how about a shot first? Or two or four?  Slippery nipple, blowjob whatever you got, raspberry vodka – just to get warmed up of course!Good Lord will I EVER teach you people....this is a BEER BAR...anyways, we'll have a sip of my Premium Lager...to get warmed up....You and I use direct experience in our "day jobs" to come up with sizzling hot stories.  Tell us a little about how being a gymnastics coach inspires you.Gymnastics taught me a lot about perseverance and determination. I've been injured more times that I wanted in my career as an athlete. A lot of times I wanted to give up. But anything worth doing is worth the fight. That determination crossed over into my personal and writing life. I've had to cross hurdles just like a lot of other people and have been faced with things I'd never imagine an adult would be faced with. But even though life can get you down, I refuse to stay down. I want to get to the end of my life one day and know that I did everything  I wanted to do and that I enjoyed doing it. You have several books coming out over the next few months.  Which one is your favorite and why?
They're all my favorite for different reasons. Pleasure Island (www.wilderroses.com) out on October 21st  is about a woman moving on after divorce and realizing some sexual fantasies. That one was the 1st piece I wrote after I separated from my husband so it's kind of a wish for me and other women out there going through that hellish time.
Monkeys, Sex and Other Birthday Surprises is an erotic comedy released from www.secretcravingspublishing.com on September 23rd. Sex like life is an adventure and even though my characters have some mishaps they get through it with humor.

Going for Gold released on October 8th www.romancedivine.com is a sexy little short story about two gymnastics coaches who finally "go for gold" at the staff Christmas party. Gymnastics was my first love and its fun to combine my love of writing with sexy gym coach scenarios. LOLDo you write in huge chunks or a little at a time?Depends on the day! If I don't have a zillion other things taking up my time then yes I like to write for huge chunks of time. If the words flow, the stars are aligned, the kids are quiet, but alas – I do what I can when I can!Oh look your glass is empty..what's next for you?Another round? I'm small but I've been known to drink even the best under the table. Although, I may fall asleep at this point… Or I get touchy-feely. Depends on what you want *waggles eyebrows*Honey, you would have to go a damn long way to drink This Wench under any table...and touchy feely is fine as long as there is a dude involved between us.Is it hard to fit writing into you daily schedule? It wasn't until I got published, lol. Promotion is something I'm getting used to and takes up creative writing time that I'd rather be editing and writing. Perhaps one day when I'm famous, I can just write and people will look forward to my next book with anticipation! Hahaha…Can I share a secret with you?I'm pretty easy to please, however, there are some things in life I won't put up with. If a man figures out what I really want/need in life he'll be one lucky son of a bitch. But that has to remain a secret b/c I'm not doing all the work for the bast-I mean, gentlemen..lolMany days I wonder about the value of all the promoting we do on our blogs and on all the approximately 97 bazillion book review sites/blogs/combo blogs/blog hops/blog tours there are to read every single day.  To me, it's getting a little meta…but I'm a cynic that way.  I'm a marketing pro so I get that it has to be done, I just sorta wonder if we aren't stepping all over each other in the process.  What hard lessons have you learned about promotions (be honest)?Promotion kill my creative drive. Maybe it's just because I have 3 books coming out at once, but when I look at my current blog tour schedule, I think is this even going to work? I feel a little like a hamster on a wheel… (no short jokes, lol) But I guess if even one person sees my book, thinks it's worth checking out and then buys it, it has been worth it because I got my name out there to one more person. And that's really what this is all about – getting our name out there. Writing good stories that publishers want is one thing, but we need readers to buy them. And if I can get one more copy sold for another author, don't we all win? Finally, what's coming up on your writing/release horizon?  I saw you got an acceptance for a series at one of your publishers.  Tell us what we can expect to see from you coming up.Rebound and The Perfect Score, Books 1 and 2 in the Love and Balance series, have been contracted by Secret Cravings Publishing and will be out in 2012 in both ebook and print. I'm really excited because those are my first novels and they totally combine my love of gymnastics and romance. Cheers!  But you guys have GOT to let me get some decent beers into you. This whole vodka thing? No. If you're committed to liquor at least pick one that has flavor, ok? Never fear, I'll get you there...with "shots" that are pure liquor...preferably whiskey, preferably of the bourbon variety.

Cheers and thanks for hosting me!

A Six Sunday Emotional Turning Point

Welcome back!
We are continuing to explore Erin's complicated life with the many men who populate it.

She's just had a terrible weekend with her ex husband's family, made all the more awful by his attempt to reconcile with her after a major family trauma.  Escaping the temptation to just slide back into the "known" with Bradley she shows up at her Nashville hotel, exhausted, emotionally spent and vulnerable.

six starts here:

The Sheraton was hosting some kind of convention that involved loud, drunk people, usually a crowd she liked. But wading through them tonight was irritating beyond belief. When she felt a hand on her wrist she whirled around, a retort on her lips.  Owen's face was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. Without a word he tugged her into his arms and held her close as the room's occupants flowed around them. She clutched the soft cotton fabric of his shirt between both hands and soaked it with her tears.

Of course, if you've been following along, you know these two have a hell of a time actually connecting....will Owen's grand romantic gesture work? Or will they fall back into familiar patterns of avoidance?
ORDER THE TAP ROOM, a Choose Your Romance Novel.  Owen is just one of her choices....and you get to make it for her!
