Book Two in the Blue Fire Saga, DEATHLESS, Available in September
Book Two in the Blue Fire Saga is called Deathless. I'm currently awaiting my proof copy to approve, and then Deathless should be available for purchase in the second or third week of September! Deathless will be a trade paperback (slightly larger than a normal paperback — about the same size as Breathless hardcover).
I'm excited! I hope you are, too.

Six Sentence Sunday Excerpt from Breathless
Hi all, I'm participating in a Six Sentence Sunday promotion, so here is this week's selection. Leesa is a college freshman who has just learned her new boyfriend is a volkaane — a supernatural vampire hunter. Volkaanes slay vampires with a magical inner fire, which is also deadly to humans. The selection below describes their first kiss, which has to be limited to five seconds because of his fire.
"The feeling of warmth that exploded into her as their tongues connected was beyond imagining. She felt like she was flying, like a thousand tiny mouths were kissing every inch of her body, like her skin was wrapped in the most delicious chocolate and every pore could taste it. Way, way, way too soon, the timer she'd set on her cell phone beeped, and she felt Rave's lips pulling away from hers. She was glad he had the strength to end the kiss. She knew she never could have. It just wasn't fair—that something so delicious could kill her."

Six Sentence Sunday from BREATHLESS 6/26
The following six sentences are from my paranormal romance novel Breathless, available in hardcover from this website, or in eBook format at Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble.com
Leesa is a college freshman who has fallen in love with a supernatual vampire hunter (Rave)called a volkaane. Her older brother has been missing for more than a year. She was trying to determine if a vampire (Stefan) knows what happened to her brother, when Rave came upon them.
"Leesa could not let this continue, could not take the chance of Rave getting hurt. Hunting vampires was what he did, but he had already given up his advantage and would be distracted by her presence as well. She remembered him saying how powerful Stefan was. No way could she let Rave fight him under these conditions. Nor did she want Stefan destroyed, for he might have the answers she needed. No, this was a fight she somehow had to stop."

Another Five Star Review for Breathless
Breathless just received a 5-star review from ReadersFavorite.com. You can see the whole review at http://readersfavorite.com/cat-71.htm?review=4267
Here's an excerpt: "This is an excellent book. I could hardly put it down and kept reading to find out what was going to happen. The chemistry between Leesa and Rave is wonderful. They play off each other brilliantly. I liked the minor characters: her aunt and uncle; her friends Cali, Caitlin and Stacie; and also the vampire, Stefan. If you liked the Twilight books you will love this one. I can't wait for the next."

Bite This! (Vampire Book Blog) Gives BREATHLESS a Great Review
Bite This! just gave Breathless the following rave review:
Scott Prussing writes an amazing tale with this wonderful fantasy and romance novel. This book has a refreshing view of vampires and is filled with mystery and intrigue. Prussing scores a win with his book, and fans are looking for a sequel to this great vampire story.
The book follows the story of one young girl's quest to find answers to the mysteries that surround her family. Leesa is looking for answers to her mother's strange claims that she was bitten by a one fanged vampire, as well as trying to learn the fate of her brother who has gone missing. Attending the same college her brother attended, she finds the answers she is looking for, along with a long list of more questions. Along the way Leesa also finds herself drawn to a dark and handsome man who takes her breath away and leads her into a whirlwind romance that brings her into a world she never believed existed.
Prussing also introduces a new species that is a breath of fresh air, creating new species that have new powers always seems to add depth to any fantasy novel. These new creatures, Volkaanes, give the book a bit of originality that many vampire books lack.

Amanda Hocking, Watch Out! Breathless Is On The eMove…
Breathless has now been available in eBook format at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com for almost two weeks now. Sales are definitely trending up — another million or so, and Breathless will be in Amanda Hocking's neighborhood.
There are a number of books titled "Breathless" out there (hey, a good title is a good title) so the easiest way to find this Breathless is to search "Scott Prussing" at Amazon.com or Barnesandnobles.com. I
If you are tired of reading about tornadoes and tsunamis and nuclear fallout, and want something more for your $2.99 than a latte from Starbucks or a Big Mac and McDonald's, head on over to your friendly eBook store and download a copy of Breathless. You'll be glad you did.

Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Nuclear Fallout, Civil Wars, Unemployment — No Wonder Vampires and Zombies Are So Popular
With the news full of anxiety producing reports about things like earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear fallour, high unemployment, high national debt, etc., it's no wonder people are turning to escapist topics like vampires and zombies, to name two of the most popular. A good book, movie or television show can pull us away from our stressful reality into another, impossible world.
Breathless is just that — a book to pull you out of your everyday life for a few hours, into a world without natural disasters and human against human confrontations. And from the feedback I've been getting from happy readers (keep the feedback coming, please!), I'm delighted to see that Breathless is accomplishing it's purpose.
So whether you choose the hardcover version available at the bottom of every page of this website (I'm still signing them, too) or the newly released eBook version now available at Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com, I hope you will find the same entertaining escape…
P.S. With so many books titled Breathless, the easiest way to find the eBook version at either of the above sites is to search "Scott Prussing." Or, even easier, go the the "eBooks" tab on this website and click on the appropriate link. (That's if you are reading this on ScottPrussing.com.)
