Fantasy needed....
I'm sitting in my living room, the open fire is flickering and keeping us warm.
A wet snow is lingering outside in the garden, not sure if it wants stay or not.
All very nice, but I need to get into Caribbean spirit - difficult if you have to walk the dog in the freezing cold.
My next sequel is taking place on the Bahamas - a murder happening in a lush tropical setting.... maybe I should drink a long drink with lots of rum?

99 ratings - my personal review
To be or not to be....
Publishing your first book is an adventure you start with trepidation - and no author will remain indifferent when the first reviews start popping up on the screen.
I've seen great ones, but I had to swallow deeply on the rare occasions when I've been treated as brainless and silly or readers get worked up about my standards of morality (do they have any idea what was going on in the 17th century? No, they don't!)
Now that I've reached 99 ratings with an average of almost 4 stars, I would like to say thank you to those of you how were kind and also to those who helped me to improve with frank and honest criticism.
Far from being perfect, I'm happy that my books seem to please the vast majority of my readers and (don't take it as menace).... I look forward to writing some more in the future!
Merry Christmas

Bolognese - one of my favourites...
A Bolognese sauce that's delicious and won't hurt,enjoy :)
2 big portions
200 g of minced beef (no fat)
5-6 carrots (chop into small pieces)
1 big onion
2 garlic cloves
1 spoon of olive oil
1 can of chopped tomatoes (with herbs or à la provençale) 400 gr
1 box of tomatoe puree (passato) 500 ml
1/2 cube of bouillon
Italian herbs
add 1/2 a glass of white or rosé wine
heat the olive oil in a large pan, fry the minced meat until brown. Add the chopped garlic + onions until they're changing colour. Add salt (1 small spoon) + paprika spice powder (don't be thrifty)
stir regularly, add carrots + a bit more of salt.Drop in the bouillon, stir again and then add the chopped tomatoes + passato. Let it cook for 15 minutes, stir regularly and add 2 small spoons of dried Italian herbs.
you can add a spoon of sour cream (not too much or you kill the taste of the herbs)
Enjoy with any kind of pasta, add a bit of Parmesan cheese (just a bit...remember that cheese is made from full fat cream)
Enjoy - if you like it, send me your best recipe!
