Queen Henrietta - Queen who?

Doing some background research on the period of Charles Ist and his queen consort - interesting subject - by coincidence ;) - they lived at the same time as Pierre, my French Orphan protagonist, and his friends.

Maybe I'll spin the story further when Pierre is some years older - let's see, there's enough drama for plenty of books to be written.

Queen Henrietta, the aloof 'fille de France' was amazingly blind to the tide that would finally carry her husband away,as was Charles himself.

I'd be grateful to receive recommendations for interesting literature on this period / subject.

cheers

Back to the 17th century

After finishing my crime story 'Death on Turtle Island'- it's back to the 17th century.

I started a new book, not really a sequel of the French Orphan, but we'll meet the major protagonists once again.

François de Toucy, Pierre and Armand are bound to England and end up in the complications of the English Civil War - trying to save the queen of England. Not an easy task at all as they have to deal with queen who doesn't want to be saved....
