How Persephone would end up in the Underworld in my version was one thing that I always had a hard time to decide. It was tempting to let her go there by her own choice and not allude to the myths at all, but it also felt a bit wrong to erase the kidnapping completely. So I went for something in between. I wanted to let Hades do something he shouldn’t have done, and I wanted to give Demeter a good reason to later unleash her terrible powers on the world.

Hello! I have finished both Books in the Hades and Persephone series and I was wondering if The Good Counselor will be the only book in the series that deals with them having troubles conceiving a child or will there be more books in the future that foc
Without giving away too much, The Good Counselor will be the last book in the series that will be dealing with conception / fertility issues. I’m not dragging out a plot like that across a whole series.
Fair warning, if you were deep in your feels during Destroyer of Light, The Good Counselor will be a difficult read for you. But since I’m typically an HEA or at least an HEA? writer, it’ll be a journey but I think you’ll be happy for our beloved protagonists.
