Persephone:...
Persephone: I’m not attracted to Hades! He looks like a sick Victorian orphan.
Persephone: I just want to feed him soup and bread until he stops looking so damn pale.
Hermes: It always starts with soup bread. Then you want to swaddle him in sweaters. Then you want to run him a hot bath. Next thing you know you’ve got both your pants off and you’re crying about your insecurities against his chest while he pets your hair and makes you feel all warm and sweet inside.
Persephone:
Persephone: I don’t think that’s gonna happen to me.
Hermes: That’s what they all say.

Is this a book? I’m just a bit confused because I’m not that familiar with the art technique and I’m just getting into the Persephone-Hades fandom. If this is a book or you recommend one, please let me know (please include the author name for ease of finding the book or story) somehow because I need more to read. 😁
I’d start by reading @therkalexander‘s amazing series if you enjoy all things Hades and Persephone.
The reference to ‘Chiaroscuro’ is my rather clumsily-titled first draft of a Hades and Persephone story I was working on, and overwhelmed myself with the scope of it not long afterwards. You can read the rough draft on my AO3 here if you’re interested, but it’s unfinished, even though I do want to finish it at some point, after all my other projects…

Hades and Persephone being… Hades and Persephone.
I don’t really know why I put this in a modern context, since it would have worked just as well in an ancient one (well, minus the phones).
