Aidoneus handed over his coin and spoke gently to the dead. “See? I pay. Same as you. Our greatest difference is that you cannot go back from whence you came. Your lives are over, so what have you to fear now?” Ω “Tartarus!” The dark haired woman burst into tears. Ω “You’re not going there, Cassia, of Knossos. Nor you, Meriones, of Knossos. Despite what your priests tell you about my judgements, it is rare that I damn a soul to Tartarus. Not even you, Hippolytos, son of Atreus.” Ω The hoplite’s lip trembled. “A-Ares in all h-his glory—” Ω “Isn’t here…
I am your lord god, Hades Aidoneus Chthonios. From this day until the day you are reborn.”

I mean, she’s intelligent, obviously holds long and deep seated grudges, but I can’t imagine that she’d be acting like a dragon mother in law this long into the relationship. It would be exhausting. Besides. Her and the rest of the earth deities have a common enemy.
I really love your Good Counselor story! I love exploring mythologies in my stories. Following you! Happy writing!
Thank you so much! Following back.
