Wow!!! Omg the whole scene with them squad was so amazingly amazing

Gotta be honest, it was SO much fun to write the Underworld crew fucking around with Hades and Persephone, and entirely borne out of a headcanon I had while writing Destroyer of Light.

I’m glad you liked it too. I also needed (not just for the book but also for me) a lighthearted interlude in the middle of all the super heavy themes currently being kicked around in The Good Counselor.

Thank you so much on the well wishes.

Last night I had a conversation with my producer, and while I can’t disclose who gave her a ‘soft yes’ for the TV series, but let’s just say that their interest that it immediately piqued the interest of another major content outlet, who is also interested in the project. And now they want a season overview and a scripted pilot. (!!) So I’m going to work with a screenplay writer this month and produce A PILOT FOR PAWNS OF OLYMPUS.

I also need to make a 30 second elevator pitch video for why my books should be made into a TV series. (halp!!) Which totally isn’t nerve wracking at all

So Ive been dabbling in the thought of getting a persephone poem tattooed on me for a couple years now, and i was wondering if you had any favourites? I spend 30 mins scrolling in my liked posts and i think my favourite one got deleted and im mad lol

Ah nuts.

I mean, you can’t go wrong with Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem:

Be to her, Persephone,

All the things I might not be;

Take her head upon your knee.

She that was so proud and wild,

Flippant, arrogant and free,

She that had no need of me,

Is a little lonely child

Lost in Hell,—Persephone,

Take her head upon your knee;

Say to her, “My dear, my dear,It is not so dreadful here.”

Poem to Persephone in honor of her coming forth:

Hail
Persephone Mákaira

Blessed
Goddess of Spring

I
welcome You this day

To
all that the world will bring

The
nights grow shorter, the days longer

And
plants and animals come forth

Your
place on this plane grows stronger

As
the cold starts to shrink to the North

It
is a surety that the Underworld misses You

But
we are glad to see Your face

Goddess
Persephone hail and welcome

I
long to see Spring take its place.

Ah! Congrats on the news!

Thank you! I’m super excited and also kind of nervous because I will have to go on camera to pitch the series. And I have to overcome a tremendous amount of stage fright. But to get this done I’m willing to do whatever it takes.

Sorry, I’m a little new here. Is the good counselor going to be an actual book, like receiver of many and destroyer of light? Thanks!

Yes! Thanks for asking! It will be a full length novel, just like the first two books, and is the third book in the Hades and Persephone series.

Dozed off reading about the trojan war and woke up singing “a horse is a horse of course, of course, and a horse can’t talk of course of course, unless of course, that horse of course, is full of a bunch of Greeks ready to sack your city and burn it to the ground”
