enbizaka-murders:

There is a lesser known Nordic myth about how Ullr, the son of Sif, has to go down into the underworld Niflheim(the world of eternal winters) during summer because Asgardian summers are just too hot for him since he is the god of winter. It is in the underworld where he meets Hel, Loki’s daughter and starts a relationship with her. However he can go back to his mother when it gets colder.

What’s doubly fun is that Sif is a goddess of harvest and fertility so nothing growing in winter could be a connection to how she focuses all her time on her son during those months.

It’s like an inverted Hades and Persephone. When Ullr is gone in the summer his mom does her job and stops during winter because she wants to focus on him.

Hi, are you "sushi_taco", the author of Hades and Persephone that used to be up on literotica? If so, I am so obsessed with that story and I went back to re-read it the other day and couldn't find it! Is there someplace else I can find it, or is it availab

No! No worries at all!! Yes I am, yes it is, my author name is Rachel Alexander, and my book, Receiver of Many (which comprises the first half of “Hades and Persephone” as it was published on Literotica is available on Amazon, Kindle, iBooks, Nook, Barnes & Noble and other retailers. Truly it is incredibly inconvenient how you have to write your stories if you want to read them

unless I come up with a series of words that form a series of sentences, I’m not going to read this story and nobody else is either and this is truly rude of the universe to work this way

missharpersworld:

I have been nominated by @yes-i-could-be-the-walrus to post 7 books that i love - 1 book a day and i love this idea so here we go - in no particular order:

book 1: Receiver of Many - by far my favorite interpretation of the Hades and Persephone story - the sequel Destroyer of Light is just as good and the third book in the series is soon coming. I highly recommend them.
