What exactly happened with Minthe and Hades in the legend?
It depends on who is telling it, and it’s always the Romans who do.
In one version, she claimed she was more desirable than Persephone, so Demeter turned her into a mint plant, and in another, she was turned into a mint plant by Persephone for attracting her husband’s attention.
I wrote quite a bit about Minthe here if you’re interested, including a whole lot about my feeling on syncretism and the Romans.

Is it really going to be called poo?
No.
No, it’s not.
It is a working title that I frankly hate.
But it was a good hook for early outreach. Any marketing team worth it’s salt would reject that as the final title but because it’s unfuckingworkable in social media.
So if you hate PoO as much as I do, go tweet @SummerHelene and tell her your ideas for what the TV Series should be called.
I’m serious.

Are Arion and Despoina going to turn up in PoO? Or is that too much of a spoiler #pleasedontletitbethatbigaspoiler
They aren’t, they won’t. In my telling, Persephone is an only child.

What about Hecatos or Hecathan for ship names?
How dare you come here at 7:51 in the AM and start a ship-naming war on my blog in front of my children

I really hope you don’t decide to go with the myth that Zeus impregnates Persephone... that will break my heart :(
I pinky swear with every last one of you that I will never do that.
