Is there a sexy scene that you're looking forward to writing and vice versa?
I’m kinda curious what you mean by vice versa (is the sexy scene looking forward to writing me?)
But the most recent sexy scene I’m looking forward to I can’t talk about because it’s too much of a spoiler. I can only say it’s between our two beloved main characters, Aidoneus and Persephone.
Should I have read both books in 2 days? Probably not. Should I have stayed up until 3am reading when I had to be at work by 7am? Definitely not. Was it all worth it? Absolutely. I stumbled upon your story on AO3 and immediately got hooked. Let me just sa
I’ll tell ya…
Nothing brings more joy to my cold little heart than getting an email notification from Smashwords that someone bought Receiver of Many and then, not 24 hours later, someone buys Destroyer of Light.
Do I know for a fact it’s the same person? Probably not. But it probably is. I hope you finally got some damn sleep and I’m so glad I helped rekindle your love of reading with my books!
And if you want to read a preview of The Good Counselor, you can find the first several chapters here.
Hello. Will you please tell me how many years have passed between since the end of the titanomachy to when persephone first enters the underworld, in your series? Thank you. Have a nice day!
40,000 years.
all I want is to read 4 more books about hades and persephone living happily ever after with their three children, rachel, I don’t think my heart can take all of the impending angst and drama
Well I have good and bad news for you
Is there any chance of you releasing an annotated version of your books? Your comments and the history behind your decisions are what I miss most from the old a03 posts. T_T
Oh gods, like a one brain celled dumb ass, I didn’t save any of those and deeply regret it to this day. In the far distant future, I might release an annotated novel or an index. We’ll see.
Just recently discovered Receiver of Many and could not put it down, so of course I followed up with Destroyer of Light. At the risk of sounding cliche I'll say that they are wonderful and everything I ever wanted in a Hades/Persephone story. I could go on
No, thank you!! I really appreciate that :)
If you want to whet your appetite, I posted the first few chapters of The Good Counselor here.
Happy reading, and happy turkey day to my US followers.
Hello Rachel, I really like the first two books and I’m excited for the third one. I’m told it’s going to have Hercules. If that’s so than I’m excited. Tell how soon will the first book be published?
I make only broad references to Herakles in The Good Counselor because in my timeline he was just born. You’ll see a lot more of him in the following book, The Ineffable Seeds.
What other fandoms do you like? Do you write fanfic for anything else?
I like several other fandoms but won’t get into it here. I have a personal blog where I post stuff from shows and books I enjoy.
I don’t write fanfic, per sé, in the strictest sense of the word. I admire and read fanfic, and if you count Greek Mythology as a fandom property, then I suppose I do.
But nope… all my works have been either based on Greek mythology or original works.
What gave you to write ROM
I had Receiver of Many in the back of my head for YEARS. I’ve been fascinated by Greek mythology since I was a kid.
In late 2011, I had just moved apartments and was stuck on inspiration for a sequel to a novella I had written on Literotica. I couldn’t write it, not because I didn’t want to, but because I had this other story clawing at the back of my mind.
I told my boyfriend (now husband) about it and he suggested that I drop the current project if this is the one inspiring me now.
I had intended for Receiver of Many to be a short story, but when I started writing, it took on a life of its own, and now it’s an eight novel epic.

Have you ever seen Hadestown? Thoughts?
I haven’t seen it but I have the original Anaïs Mitchell album. I’ve listened to the London Cast Recording and loved it.
I had planned to see it on Broadway opening night (fly myself out to New York, see it, stay one night, fly back to San Francisco like an insane person) but surgery recovery made that impossible.
I will be first in line to see it when it inevitably comes to SF.
