The trend of Hank having an absurdly different team than Jerry’s
didn’t stop with the first two jobs. In the final half of World 1, music
was the name of the game as Gilgabot swung the RNGhammer twice more,
landing upon the bard and the dancer as the two skills to accompany the
Blue and Time Mages. Yeah, this was promising to be toe-tappingly
exploitable adventure.
Still, the final dungeon of World 1
ended up being a bit of a slog. “I don’t get it” he said “Isn’t the Blue
Mage supposed to be overpowered?”
“Yeah, but like all the mages,
they have more endgame power.” Lenna replied “There aren’t many decent
spells to learn in the first world”
“Plus we’ve been running away
from all our battles like a bunch of assholes, so we’re still at like
level 10 >:|” said Faris. “I’d love to spam Aqua Breath on everything
if I could cast it more than five times before running out of MP”
“Hmmm. True.” said Hank. “But when we get that Chicken Knife, you’ll thank me.”
And then Galuf chimed in. “If we’re done here, I’m going to go off and have a grandpa adventure.”
“All right, that’s cool. Have fun.”
But
after a couple hours of being a 3-member party, Hank and the girls
realized that Galuf was the social anchor of the group and things were
just to awkward without him. Thus it was necessary to go after him.
And
so, after a few tenacious boss battles (the Titan’s earth-shaking death
throes almost blocked the low-HP party from proceeding entirely), they
traveled to Galuf’s World… where everyone was everyone else’s grandpa.
It’s
hard to say exactly how World 2 will go, but Hank’s plans aren’t going
to change much. Ironically, they’re likely to keep on runnin’ and never
face the music when it comes to random battles. They’ll likely face
Exdeath at level 20. But Hank knows full well that the Blue Mage and
Bard will become bigger and bigger bastards as time goes on, and he
intends to use every godawful trick at their disposable to see things
through to the bitter end.

Jerry’s team had a pretty impressive fiesta, all things considered. Gilgabot gave them four jobs entirely based around physical attacks, with no magic whatsoever and very little of what could be considered support. They basically had to charge through the game like a raging bull, and they managed to do it, hammering, chiseling, and elixering their way to a Neo Exdeath victory at Level 37.
Now, Hank wants to give it a shot, and so a new quest begins. He hopped on his Chocobo, met the three story characters, went through the motions, skipped through the cutscenes as best he could, and collected the shards of two of the four crystals. And already, the quest is certain to go a whole new direction from Jerry’s. Blue Mage and Time Mage are the jobs the RNG god Gilgabot blessed upon the party thus far; they couldn’t be any more different than the jobs Jerry started with. Nothing but magic, and REALLY COOL magic to boot. Blue Magic simply wrecks everything, and Time Magic will ensure the party gets to warp out of dungeons, float over pits, and save money on haste boots.
Hank’s quest will not be as difficult as Jerry’s
BUT HE HAS UNTIL AUGUST 31ST TO FINISH IT. There’s the rub. That’s when the 2015 Four Job Fiesta come to an end. Will he be able to marathon his way to victory? With a sickly person playing the game? TIME will tell. Just don’t be surprised if things get a little BLUE.

This has been a week. Long, stupid story short, my car is smashed and I’m selling my house because of reasons. Right now, I still have about 50 boxes of books and shirts in my house’s basement, and nowhere to put them, so I might as well move them to your houses. Stuff is all ridiculously reduced so I can get it outta here. This means I’m having the biggest sale I’ve ever done.
YU+ME dream was $75 a set, now it’s $35, more than half off.
Meaty Yogurt was $20, now $10.
Darlin’ It’s Betta was $20-$25, now $15
Shirts were $18, now $10-$12.
I’m not reordering any of this stuff, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. I hope to get it sold, fix my car, and empty my house out by end of September. So if you’re thinking Christmas presents, think now.

RECENTLY ADDED
You Suck Vol 1 LITE edition has been added to the PDF archives (for backers $5 and up). Like the regular edition, it includes all the comics in the first 4 chapters… It does not include the retouched versions of the first 20 comics or any of the Slipshine comics. It is a barebones version of the first collection, and therefore lite!
In addition, a few exclusive illustrations of varying NSFWness, done as a response to a request thread. I’ll do those every so often.
