The Darkworld Girl (I still haven't entirely settled on a name for her, but for now, she's "Darkworld Girl") was created on an Oekaki board a looong time ago. I believe this is my first picture of her, drawn back in July '02.

What does it take to be an artist for Slipshine?
Art with character, good anatomy skills, the ability to do sequential art and not just pinups… those are the three important things, skillwise. Beyond that, it helps to know me or one of the artists and be lucky enough to be around when I can afford to pay for another series.
Do you do interviews?
Yes. Nobody ever wants to interview me, though. I'm not quite popular enough or whatever. Although there is one coming up… somewhere!
Do you really have cute cats or is that a lie?
Of course I have cats. I have an adorable but kind of neurotic cat named Darcy and an adorable but dopey cat named Max.
My first adorable cat was Frankie, but she died. :|
My journal is actually named after my tendency to post about them too much, but I've gotten better about that. Or worse, depending on how much you like hearing me talk about my cats.
What about miki? Which version of her would fit into that hypothetical current version of wendy comic? The sexy super hero one or the means and lemon one?
Who?
Ha ha ha actually it is funny that I forgot about her seeing how that was a running gag in the comic and all.
I think it'd be the same deal as before really. She'd hate them all but would secretly want to bang Wendy.
This was a follow-up to this question, for those joining us.
do you think you'll ever use marshmallow cat in other comics??
In the end, as far as animal characters go, she wasn't really one of my best. I think the snail has thoroughly taken over as my mascot now. I just need to think of some new comics to put him in.
Dear Josh L, I prefer your old style, the one somewhere before the body changing chapters.
How do you feel about your drawing style then and now?
The art in Chapters 1-5 was awful, stiff crap.`
Chapter 6-7 was all right but a bit generic, 8-9 was pretty shaky because I was just starting out with that brush inking technique
10 and 11 were good if not a bit cluttered at times
with 12 I think I did a really good job drawing by instinct, which is the best way to make the art more organic and cartoony. But it was a bit much for the tone of the comic. I've toned it down since then, but I seem to have went overboard and done it with all my comics and not just Girly. There are a lot of things in Chapter 12 I wish I still did.
13 and 14 I think were great, but it has been noted that my shading and hatching was way too shaky and it made things completely fall apart sometimes.
15 and everything up to now I am satisfied with, but it does turn out a bit too reserved at times. Also it's really obvious to me when I'm on my game and when I'm not. Sometimes I just forget how to ink. The "Pokemon Happy" are my best recent comics.
Do you take commissions? I totally want an angry snail sketch. I'd log in but I don't want to be one of those tumblr people when I hardly stay active anything else.
I currently don't take commissions because I am a really undependable artist.
