Need A Christmas Book With A Little Romance?

I love writing these short stories.

If I could write them all the time, I’d sit down with Mrs. Claus and scribble them out.

A Very Merry Christmas is set in Helena, Montana. Meredith owns a bed and breakfast and is raising her niece and nephew as her irresponsible sister has decided to run off and “find herself.” Meredith is also in charge of the town’s pageant and dealing with quirky neighbors. A little love, a little healing, and a LOT of Christmas celebration in this one.

Taco Soup

I don’t like to cook, but I do really like to eat.

Here’s a picture recipe – did I just make that phrase up? – of Taco Soup. If you’ve seen a recipe pretty close to, or exactly, like this recipe below, yep, I stole it. It’s a mix of a recipe from my funny Montana sister/a principal I used to teach for/online.

Definitely cook the meat and saute the onions, then everything goes into the crock pot for an hour or two. The can on the left is diced tomatoes.

You can also use shredded chicken. You may not need the full onion. Taco soup tastes best with shredded cheese, avocado slices, chips, and sour cream when you serve it.

Fire Extinguishers and Thanksgiving

I am cooking a turkey, therefore I am ready.

I shall not be caught off guard again by bad turkeys that catch themselves on fire.

Salting A Kindle

I made popcorn for nutritional purposes.

I picked up my kindle to read a book in front of the fireplace.

I picked up the salt to shake over my popcorn.

I salted my kindle.

It is moments like these when I really wonder what’s going on in my brain or if it is even functioning normally anymore.

Has anyone else salted their kindle? No?

On Being A Leaf Nerd

I love Oregon’s fall leaves.

I walk, I stare, I take photos.

Then I walk, I stare, and take photos. I think I am a leaf-nerd. If leaf-nerd is a thing and all.

Innocent Husband And A Nice Pink Cake

Thanks to all who came to my little chat at Powell’s Books last night. So good to see family, friends, neighbors, readers…everyone.

This is the cake I had Innocent Husband decorate. There are cakes in my book, All About Evie,so I thought we should eat one…or two. Innocent Husband had wanted to “just sit in the back.” Ha. Yeah….No, baby. I must put you to work!

Good job, Innocent Husband. Bright pink is just your color.
