The next in the series of The Chesapeake: Steamboats & Oyster Wars actually has a brief appearance of Fitzgerald as a young man in CHESAPEAKE 1910. Fitzgerald is one of the authors I feature as part of my giveaways, one of my favorites, and I like to bring forth stories about the life of those authors. Thanks for reaching out, it is great to hear from you.(less)

“Anything worth having is worth working for.”
Ken Rossignol

“The Titanic Historical Society and the International Titanic Society are two of the resources available to the reader to learn about the many inaccuracies of the stories about the RMS Titanic sinking. Libraries in Washington, New York, Belfast, Richmond, Halifax, and London are just a few with extensive Titanic collections of news coverage of the event.”
Ken Rossignol, Titanic 1912

“The ship became famous for hitting the iceberg and sinking with over 1500 casualties but up until that time, it simply was the newest and largest, but not the most famous.”
Ken Rossignol, Titanic 1912

Henry David Thoreau, Life Without Principle

“Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government's purposes are beneficent. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding."

Thomas Carlyle, On Heroes, Hero Worship and the Heroic in History

♡°~*BonneVivante*~°♡ I came across this giveaway for a Free 2 Hour Author Website Consultation to get your site to the 'next level'. I wish I could use this for the blog I am working on but I am not an author. But since you were kind enough to follow/friend me on Goodreads, I thought you might be interested. :) Anyway, there's only 1 entry currently & it doesn't end for 23 days. Hope it helps you. Cheers, Nancy https://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/dis...

There is a large branch of the family name in Maine which successfully avoided the British attempt to ship them out of Canada and dump them off at ports in Florida and Georgia as is said to have happened to my ancestors. I just spotted your note, sorry to take so long to respond. I was drafted during the height of Viet Nam but they rejected me for vision, which was silly because I was pro-marksman in our junior high rifle club. But who was I to argue with the supreme wisdom of the U. S. govt.

Bert Carson Ken,
You're the second Rossignol I've met - the first was a Sergeant in Vietnam - he was a friend but I have no recollection of his first name - from New England - career NCO - E-7 when I knew him - any idea if he's within a degree or two of you
