SCS 2749 - Writing Popular Fiction
Instructor: Eve Silver
Want to jump start your writing, hone your focus, and create commercially viable work? This course explores popular fiction, which includes bestselling genres such as mystery, thrillers, horror, romance, science fiction, fantasy, and young adult. Learn the art of creating strong plots, scenes with impact, three-dimensional characters, and believable dialogue. Examine the business of writing, including agents, publishers, and the U.S. and international markets.
Semester: Spring/Summer - 15
Delivery Method: In-class
Schedule: 05 May 2015 - 30 Jun 2015 (no class May 12)

(Note: This is a one week intensive course. Session 008, taught by Kelley Armstrong is currently wait-listed, so the School of Continuing Studies has opened a second session 009 to be taught by Eve Silver.)
