It was crafted as a guide to the healing powers of plants that surround us, those that have nurtured and sustained Scandinavian lives for centuries. Through its pages, I aimed to show that nature is not just a backdrop to our lives, but a vital, living participant.
The narrative of 'Green Junkie' continues this dialogue, delving into the addictive quality of living a life intertwined with the natural world. It's about becoming dependent on the joy, peace, and health that comes from embracing nature's offerings. This book aims to transform the reader into a 'Green Junkie'—someone who craves the wholesomeness of a life augmented by nature's touch.
Apo Whang-Od, the legendary 107-year-old tattoo artist from the Philippines, is a living embodiment of the principles I cherish and write about. Her life is a canvas of tradition and nature's beauty, a canvas that she shares with the world through the ancient art of tattooing. Though I have never met her in person, the encounter of my book with her legacy is a cross-cultural handshake that spans continents.

After returning, with a head full of traumatic memories, I began to seek solace and understanding, immersing myself in notes and thoughts that I wrote down wherever I could.
