Heronfield

Amidst the bombs and bullets, the fear and confusion, it is sometimes the battles within our hearts which leave the deepest scars.

Experience a sweeping saga set in war-torn Europe during the desperate years of the Second World War. At its heart is a cast of characters who draw us into their lives from the defeat of Dunkirk to final victory:

Tony, a young man barely in his twenties who experiences the horror of Britain’s first defeat and offers his unique talents to the war effort, only to find that his secret work threatens his relationships with those he loves. David, Tony’s elder brother, fighter pilot and hero of the Battle of Britain. Sarah, whose work with the VAD’s brings her into contact with so many, forcing her to choose between a man with loyalty and honour or another with all the characteristics of a coward. Bobby, a young American GI for whom a posting to England brings love and hope. And at the centre of it all, Heronfield, the manor house set amongst the gentle rolling downs of southern England, one time home for Tony and his family and now a war-time hospital.

Heronfield, witness to six long years of loyalty and love, anger and hatred, loss and betrayal.

33 Ways To Save Money

At a time like this, where the effect of harsh economic depression is felt, jobs are lost, the unemployment rate has risen to a record percentage, we need to think out of the box to save some money.

Stop the attitude of saying you would save when it is necessary or when you have money in abundance. The more the money the more the problem, as such there would be no time money would be in abundance. Savings is the necessary rituals we just have to perform to make sure we achieve some of our goals and financial dreams.

In this face of hardship we would be doing ourselves no good if we can’t cut our cost of living. Even the so called big financial institutions reduce their daily expenditure, the multinationals follow suit. Why wouldn’t you as an individual follow suit.

That is why I have compiled 33 tips that have proven successful over the years. I have published some on different online forum and on http://www.facebook.com/StreetPub. It has received great feedback and thumbs-up by readers, although some said it is for the poor, the fact is it has worked magic.

This is not a magical book, so do not raise your expectation. I can guarantee you that if you follow the tips step by step diligently then you would see a definite change in your saving status.

Remember this book is not for everybody. This is only for persons bothered about the ever increasing cost of living, high spending attitude and serious about soaring their saving. If you want to be frugal this book is for you.

Trubb

Trubb Blinger is a man hungry to step outside of the box…and himself. He’s hungry to break away from the blandness of his life and, he fears, the blandness of his own personality. So Trubb decides to take a journey—a trip across the United States, starting at the tip of Cape Cod on U.S. Route 6—and record his adventures in a book. But the most interesting parts of his adventure aren’t in the stories he chooses to chronicle. It’s in the stories he doesn’t choose—the stories replete with love, danger, reality, and sometimes luck.

The people Trubb meet along his journey affect him profoundly, causing him to grow, to learn about life in the real world. The world is harsh and cruel sometimes, and the truth is, not much can be done about it. But Trubb and his new wife, Katrina, find one thing they can do, small and insignificant as it might seem. A young boy helps ignite a passion in the couple—a boy at home on the streets, but with a dream to escape them. Trubb and Katrina realize that there are many of these youngsters out there—many of them exploited—and society is not really geared to help them rise above the bad choices they’ve made until it is too late. With little or no experience, can Trubb and Katrina make a difference? If not, it won’t be for lack of trying.

Amanda’s Eyes

Waking up is the pits when you come to in a hospital with a broken arm, a colorful assortment of abrasions and contusions, and a face swathed in bandages. It’s even worse if you can’t remember what hit you.

The bad and the ugly are crime reporter Amanda “A.J.” Gregson’s business. But learning she had a ringside seat for an explosion that killed two agents of the Continental Intelligence and Investigative Service (CIIS), incinerated an entire block of warehouses, and did so much damage to her eyes they had to be surgically removed? Well, that gives the darker side of life a whole new meaning.

Haunted by elusive nightmares, A.J. waits for her transplant and struggles to remember the events leading up to the fateful night of September 4, 2075. Weeks crawl by without a glimmer, before memory floods back the night before surgery, every brutal detail crystal clear.

The explosion had been the work of the Ferrymen.

“The Ferrymen. My not-so-magnificent obsession for more than a year. Only a cataclysm could have made me forget. I guess you could call them hitmen. You could also call Einstein a math whiz. Think ruthless. Think unstoppable. Think killers so proficient ‘caught the ferry’ was fast replacing ‘bought the farm’ in common usage, and you have the Ferrymen in a nutshell.”

The transplant surgery goes off without a hitch—welcome news, because A.J. is raring for a rematch with Hell’s Boatmen. But contrary to popular belief, what you see isn’t always what you get. Take her new eyes, for example. Those baby blues may look perfectly normal, but they possess a power that turns her world upside down—the power to see into the hidden dimensions of the human heart.

When the Sight unmasks the mastermind behind the Ferrymen, the unveiling is as stunning as it is unbelievable. The revelation sets her on course for a second head-collision with evil. Will she survive the final encounter?

Mobi Machine (Your Kindle Formatting Butler)

Do it yourself Kindle formatting the easy way.

Do you want to publish a book on Amazon? Maybe just your memoir or

family history to a small circle of family and friends? Either way,

this book is for you.

This book is approachable even by authors with limited computer

skills. You do not need to edit HTML. You do not need to rework your

word processor “styles”.

This book will help you get published by showing you how to set up a

“mobi machine” to turn your manuscript into an eBook at the touch of a

button (the double click of a mouse). The result is a mobi file which

you can upload to Amazon or share directly with a circle of friends

and family.

This is the very system we use at Nepo Press.

It completely bypasses the problem of applying the correct word

processor “styles” or fooling around with HTML.

The trick is to add some simple, visible markup to your manuscript

then feed that to the mobi machine. The result is a professional

looking eBook, without the formatting errors that are so common.

What does a mobi machine cost? Nothing extra at all! It is included

in the price of this book.

Does this sound too good to be true? Even if it works great, that

doesn’t help if it is too complicated for you to use. Can *you* do

it? Yes! It’s that easy. Setting up the mobi machine will take

about an hour, but it only needs to be done once. It doesn’t matter if

you are a complete computer novice. All you have to do is follow the

cookbook-style step-by-step recipe. To make it even easier, the book

points you to some short YouTube videos that demonstrate each step.

You *can* do it. If you are the least bit nervous or skeptical, start

by downloading the sample then watch the first video mentioned and

follow along, trying it on your own computer. It is so easy, an adult

could do it.

Hack

When a film producer arrives at the California Heritage Gallery to view Hack’s paintings, he’s accompanied by the artist’s childhood sweetheart, a woman he hasn’t seen in twenty years except in dreams, where she appears almost nightly, a heavenly image of beauty and light. Now Hack is overwhelmed with desire and despair, for she’s the trophy wife of a rich man. What could she possibly see in a downtrodden, besotted artist? So, in a state of love struck dementia, he hatches an outlandish scheme to win her back: fake his own death, thereby driving up the value of his portfolio, and then under cover, continue to produce “undiscovered” work, get rich, and one day return to claim his true love, when they’ll ride “Fat Boys” together into the sunset to live happily ever after. Even a loser can get lucky sometimes.

Greater Than Rubies (Christian Romance)

Robin Bartlett said, “Yes!” Will she say, “I do,” when the big day arrives?

From his cultured handsome looks to his vast fortune, Antonio “Tony” Viscolli is every red-blooded American girl’s dream match. It doesn’t hurt that he completely loves and adores Robin with all his heart and soul from practically the moment they first meet. Robin comes from a blistering past, struggling and fighting for the survival of herself and her two younger half-sisters in a cold, cruel world. By the time Tony thaws her heart, she has known hunger, poverty, violence, and want. Robin never had a chance to dream of a white wedding gown or a prince charming. Instead, her dreams were nightmares dark and clouded with fear and desperation.

For months, Tony courted the blond beauty with the sapphire eyes. He teased Robin and pursued her. He showered with attention, respect, and charm. He covered her in diamonds, sapphires, and rubies. Tony satisfied every heart’s desire. Finally, Robin came to understand God’s love for her as imitated by the unconditional love Tony freely offered. Then, on a sunny Florida beach, Tony proposed and Robin eagerly said “Yes!”

Back in bitter cold Boston, doubts about becoming a billionaire’s bride begin to crowd out her hopes for happiness. Robin worked for tips until just a few months before Tony proposed on that sunny stretch of sand. In fact, she waited his table less than half a year earlier. Having no experience facing these challenges, Robin struggles to cope feeling the pressures of relocating; of unreliable transportation; of the never-ending details of the shower, the ceremony, the reception, the honeymoon; of worries that her sisters will smoothly transition along with her; of changing her name; all while dealing with her father’s very serious legal problems.

As the date draws inexorably near and the pressure mounts, Robin begins to grasp the scale of her fiancé’s vast material wealth and holdings, the responsibilities of the virtual empire he commands. She witnesses his generosity when he takes on a young protégé straight from the tough South Boston streets.

Ultimately, Robin questions whether she is truly the girl of Tony’s dreams. Is she the woman God has made for him? In taking her on as a wife, would she act as helpmeet or poison apple? In truly loving Tony, would it be better to bind herself to him for all eternity or return his freedom? When her nightmares return in full force, they remind Robin of an even deeper and more terrifying prospect. Will she give in to her insecurities and cancel Boston’s “Royal Wedding” for good? Or, with God’s guidance, will Tony sacrifice everything to prove to his beloved Robin her true worth?
