Fred, CECAF and things
Two more Iron Duchess pages uploaded today!
And I'd like to thank Sean Azzopardi for another cracking CECAF on the Saturday just passed. I had a wonderful time and it was great to meet so many lovely people – some long-time comic fans, some locals who'd never even read a comic, and KIDS KIDS KIDS. All good stuff. I think what Sean's doing – getting comics out to the community at a grass-roots level – is incredibly important right now, when the arts are being attacked left and right in the UK. As long as there are people like him and Arts Emergency and others of their ilk making a difference, we just might be around for a while yet.

Iron Duchess Has Triplets
A three-page update this week – right here.
Other stuff I'd like to draw to your attention:
• I'll be talking with Dylan Horrocks at the Australia & New Zealand Festival of Literature and the Arts this Sunday at 4:30pm. Details and booking here. (Apparently, according to their website, I'm most famous for doing "The Straitjacket Fits" in Judge Dredd the Megazine a quarter of a century ago – thank you, Wikipedia, once again. You're the gift that keeps on giving.)
• And a week after that, on Saturday June 6th, I'll be at the Crouch End Cartoon Art Festival . I was at the first one, last year, and it was a lovely little show – a good crowd, great work on display, well worth coming out for. Looking forward to a similar experience this year.

Sketchery
Those following my Twitter over the past few days will be pleased to know that I'm not all blind fury about the Tories metaphorically kicking wheelchairs down flights of stairs. I've also drawn some sillies.
Here. Have a silly.

Iron Duchess updated

More Fred the Clown (although this episode doesn't feature the fool himself). It'll be one page per week for the next few weeks, but I'm steaming ahead enough that I'm hoping to be doing more substantial weekly updates soon. Rather enjoying myself.
Anyway, here's your page for this week.

Fred the Clown in "The Iron Duchess" updated
There's a new page of The Iron Duchess up today - follow the link and navigate to page 13 for the new page, or just start from the beginning.
Also, a big "thanks" to those who have contributed financially so far! You know who you are. I'm very grateful. I'm taking some time out from my usual paying work to do this story, so every little helps.

Free Comic Book Day
Many thanks to Gosh Comics for having me along for their Free Comic Book Day event! Spent a few hours drawing for Da Yoof (a.k.a. Tomorrow's Cartoonists) and had a grand time. Here are a few of the daubings I remembered to take photos of...

ZCO.MX Launches Today!

There's a brand-new Fred the Clown story starting today! It's part of a new website called ZCO.MX - click through and take a look at the contributors, I'm in some very fine company - and, after today's initial ten-page launch, I intend to post at least a page a week from here on until the story's done. If you want to jump straight to the Fred story, start here... but I recommend looking around at what everybody else is doing as well. Exciting times!
