Wind Word Series Third Book on its way!

Happy day! The last words have hit the (electronic) page and the third book in the Wind Word Series is now a manuscript waiting for all kinds of editing and proofing and copywriting. But it is finished, so the rest of the process can begin. Plus, it needs a title and a cover and a few more details! It has moved the overall series along just about as far as I expected, with a couple of plot twists that I hadn't anticipated; my guess is that there are still two more novels needed to finish this series. I hope this book will be ready for publication in the first half of September.

The Pearl Diver

The manuscript is finished for The Pearl Diver; I wrapped it up while attending meetings at the French Lick Resort this week!

Editing and proof-reading will take some time, but I expect to be able to publish the book on Kindle in May.

February Report on Next Book Release

"The Mirror After the Cavern" is getting close to release! The first major round of edits/corrections is complete, and the book cover design is underway. I think Silas's story will be available to the public by mid-February (although I know everyone has better things to do on Valentine's Day!).

A Step Forward for the Wind Word Series!

A milestone today! The manuscript for the first book in the Wind Word series is now officially done! The production work really picked up in December and January. With luck, editing, correcting, and proofing will be finished before the end of February! The working title remains for now, The Mirror After the Cavern.

Audio Publication of Memory Stones on the Way!

Podium Publishing will release the audio version of The Memory Stone: Part 1, on November 28. This will be a combined recording of the first two books in the series - Journey Through the River Cities & The Deadly Magician. Look for the recording on Audible, with narration by Peter Kenny (I've listened to an advance copy, and he is brilliant!).

Podium has been very pleasant to work with so far. I wasn't expecting to have my work solicited for audio publication, but the folks at Podium have made it all relatively easy for me.

I hope those of you who enjoy audio books enjoy this new format!

Maybe Writer's Block?

Or maybe I just need a bit of a breather. The writing has come very slowly the past few months as I work on Silas's story. Fortunately, I have a good outline of the series plot written, and it helps me pick up the story when I am ready to write I'm also finding that the slow pace gives me time to incorporate a few extra story details and features that come to me in brief moments of inspiration.

About a quarter of the first volume is in draft form, which gives me hope that the book will be ready for publication in February or March of 2018. I feel good about the story, but I m just not motivated to sit down with the laptop very often this fall.
