Who needs sleep?

I have a page on Facebook now so please click on over and like me.

October is now upon us, and my family loves Halloween. The decorations are up and soon the costumes will be acquired. The candy doesn't get bought until October 30, though!

I have ideas percolating for the third installment in Ennek and Miner's adventures, which I'll be writing for NaNoWriMo next month. In the meantime--because who needs sleep??--I'm halfway through a romance novel with a bit of a supernatural twist.

September

It's September already, and you know what that means? Less than two months remaining until National Novel Writing Month. This year I plan to write the third and final installment of Ennek and Miner's adventures. I don't know about you, but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what happens to the guys.

I also wanted to thank readers for their support. Because of you, I've been able to make some nice donations lately to Doctors Without Borders, an organization that does some amazing work.

Flux is in print!

The sequel to Stasis is now available!

At the moment, you can buy the Kindle edition from Amazon. You can also buy the print edition from CreateSpace. The print edition should be available from Amazon and other booksellers within a week or so.

If you read the book, I'd certainly appreciate your feedback. And reviews here and/or on Amazon would be wonderful!

As always, 100% of my royalties go to Doctors Without Borders.

Stasis sequel nearly ready!

Flux, the sequel to Stasis, is almost ready for publication. Here's the back cover blurb:

Ennek, the son of Praesidium’s Chief, has rescued Miner from a terrible fate: suspension in a dreamless frozen state called Stasis, the punishment for traitors. As the two men flee Praesidium by sea, their adventures are only beginning. Although they may be free from the tyranny of their homeland, new difficulties await them as Miner faces the continuing consequences of his slavery and Ennek struggles with controlling his newfound powers as a wizard. In this sequel to Stasis, the fugitives encounter challenges both human and magical as they explore new lands and their deepening relationship with each other.

It will soon be available in print and on Kindle. As always, 100% of my royalties will go to Doctors Without Borders.
I realized even before I began Flux that it would be the second book in a trilogy. I plan to write the third part this year during NaNoWriMo.

Donations

I always donate 100% of my royalties to Doctors Without Borders. In light of the crisis in Japan, for the month of March I will also match my royalties with a donation of my own.

And the sequel will be available this spring. :-)

Sequel to Stasis

I wrote the sequel to Stasis for NaNo 2010. It is entitled Flux and is currently in the loving and capable hands of my editor.

Stasis was about realizing potential and beginnings, but Flux is about middles and using that potential. How will our heroes cope with exile, with Ennek's powers, with their budding relationship? Of course, more troubles await them, and this time they travel.

I very much enjoyed revisiting Ennek and Miner and telling more of their tale. This book is from Miner's point of view, which I hope will also give us fresh perspective on Ennek.

I hope that the book will be available in print and Kindle editions very early this spring.
