Dance Your Way Through Winter

Let’s dance. January is a depressing month for many. Some of you might begin to cry cabin-fever as soon as the ball drops in Times Square. Why is that? If you’re one of the millions who suffers each year from SAD or cabin-fever would you love to not suffer?

I love winter. I’m not one to suffer from SAD or cabin-fever, but my body does slow down and the mind seems to say, “Okay, if you’re not going to move, I might as well rest too.” I didn’t want that to happen to me this year. I’ve set some...

Happy New Year!

It’s the first of the year and as usual I long to set goals. There is a lot I can’t control, but there is much I can, and that is what I need to focus on. Christmas is only a week away.

At the insistence of his best-friend, Marine Cole Hanson returns to Mountain Pine, Pennsylvania for the holiday celebration. While he is not looking forward to facing the woman who broke his heart and has haunted his dreams, a small part of him hopes part of their past can be erased and they could start their relationship a new. Voted The Best Cookie Ever

Happy Holidays and welcome to my blog.

Each year I’m determined to try a few new recipes and make a batch of cookies that will WOW my family and each year the cookies that disappear first are the ones my children have always love. The ones they, their cousins and the neighborhood gang always helped me make. The dough that I had to hide deep within the vegetable crisper, under the Brussels sprouts, because if found they would munch and munch and I would need to mix another batch and then stand...

TURKEY POT PIE

Happy Holidays! Thank you for stopping by. I'm in the decorating mood as you can tell.

Days after Thanksgiving and I open my refrigerator and a platter of turkey still fills the top shelf. There’s too much. My DH and I could eat turkey for a week and still have leftovers. How could this be? The kids all went home with their share yet still there is so much.

Looking ahead, the months are going to be much colder. The northwest wind will rattle the window panes, leaving behind lacey fingerprints....

Seize the opportunity today to both remember our fallen and thank those who've served our country, and those who still do. Without our brave men and women, we wouldn't be the proud, free Americans we are.
