With my graphic memoir, Kiss & Tell, coming out in a scant eight months, I suppose I should give it an introduction here on my blog. Kiss & Tell is a collection of graphic vignettes about my formative years—a short story about each significant crush, kiss, f**k and other up until I was twenty-two years old. The stories range from one to forty pages apiece and have been appearing in my self-published Estrus Comics, as well as other various publications, since I started the project in 2003. Altogether the collected stories tell the story of being an experimental kid (or a conservative person might prefer the term “wild child”), teen and twenty-something and learning about sex and drugs in the San Francisco Bay Area in the eighties and nineties. I hate using the term “coming-of-age,” but that’s kind of what this story is, I suppose, as what else is there to do when you’re a kid/teen/twenty-something other than come of age?
Anyway, keep an eye on this blog if you’re interested in finding out more about what’s going on with Kiss & Tell, as I plan on posting more about it on a weekly basis.
Ciao for now!
