Jean-Philippe Chabot est né en 1966 à Chartres. Il réside à Paris.

Après une scolarité "fantomatique" comme il aime à la décrire, il suit les cours de l'atelier Leconte et de l'U.C.A.D., puis entre en 1990 chez Gallimard jeunesse en tant qu'illustrateur et enfin comme auteur.
Il a aujourd'hui une centaine d'ouvrages à son actif, publiés dans diverses maisons telles que Gallimard, Grasset, Rageot, Albin Michel, Pocket Jeunesse, Bayard Editions, Milan, Gründ, Le Seuil et Tikinbou.

Il a notamment réalisé les illustrations de toute la série "l'école d'Agathe", comportant plus de 60 volumes,(auteur : Pakita), chez Rageot. Cette série représente son plus gros tirage chez Rageot (un million d'exemplaires). Il a également travaillé pour les parfums Di ...more
