Janine Ashbless - special guest

Please welcome my friend and fellow author Janine Ashbless to my blog today - Janine has an amazing new novel out that I can't wait to lose myself in. Here are the details…

If You Loved an Angel... How Far Would You Fall with Him?
What happens when the daughter of the village priest falls in love with an archangel banished from heaven? Milja’s heart is struck when she catches a glimpse of the preternaturally beautiful prisoner her father keeps captive beneath his church’s altar. Torn between tradition, loyalty and her growing obsession with the fallen angel, will Milja risk losing her family, and her eternal soul, for the love of this divine being? Janine Ashbless will transport you to a world where good and evil battle for true love.
Ten things I learned writing “Cover him with Darkness” by Janine Ashbless
1. Orthodox Christians cross themselves backwards
Compared to Catholics that is – though in fact the Orthodox right-to-left version is older by many centuries.  Actually I had to do quite a lot of research on Orthodoxy for Cover Him with Darkness, and though this sounds utterly trivial to an outsider, the direction-of-crossing turns out to be pretty significant for two of my characters…
2. Montenegro is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe, and more people should go there as tourists to appreciate it.
Having set the start of my book there, I had to visit on holiday for the sake of research! It’s just amazing: hot Mediterranean coastline, a vast fjord, Alpine meadows and craggy snow-capped mountain – all within a tiny country the size of Wales.
3. Nobody can agree how many archangels there are
Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox (of various types), Muslims, medieval kabbalists, Renaissance occultists … they’ve all got angel lists with different numbers, different names, and different roles.
4. Montenegrins are the tallest people in Europe
Well possibly (there’s some argument for first place with the Dutch), but with a mean at around 6ft for men across all age groups including the elderly, they are pretty bloody tall … and very proud of it too!
5. The Israelites in the Old Testament were told to sacrifice a goat to a fallen angel every year.
The annual scapegoat ritual on the Day of Atonement, wherein a goat was symbolically heaped with the sins of the people and thrown out to die in the wilderness, was quite specific: ‘And Aaron shall place lots upon the two he-goats: one lot "For the Lord," and the other lot, "For Azazel” … The goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the LORD to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel."’ (Lev 16:8-10)
6. I like hot guys tied up and angry
No further comment necessary, I feel…
7. Satan isn’t evil in the Old Testament
Actually Satan (who is all over the shop in the Gospels, and repeatedly reviled in the Letters of Paul) barely appears at all in the Old Testament. Nor do those hoards of possessing demons. When he does show up it is the Book of Job, where he is very much a part of the Court of Heaven. His name/title means “The Adversary” and his role seems to have as been a kind of prosecuting council, rooting out hidden sin. He’s very much doing the will of God.Somewhere in the centuries of exile between the Old and the New Testaments, Jewish theology changed a LOT.
If you’re thinking “What about the Garden of Eden episode then?” – go back and read it. There’s nothing in Genesis or the OT to identify ‘the serpent’ as Satan, or indeed an angel of any kind. It is literally a talking animal. Everything else is meaning that has accreted from later commentators.
8. There are ‘giants’ trapped inside mountains all over the worldPrometheus in Greece, Amirani in Georgia, Loki in Scandinavia, Hobbomock in Connecticut, Finn MacCool in Ireland, Montezuma in Arizona … if they ever all wake up and get out, it’ll make one heck of a mess.
9. About 70,000 years ago, humans nearly went extinct. And it was really good for us as a species.
They reckon, looking at the genetic evidence, that the human population was reduced to maybe only 3000+ people. And in the years following that point there was an explosion in brand new human creativity – art; music; ritual; cooking food for the first time; fishing and hunting and pottery technology – all our cultural achievements seem to have kicked off after that bottleneck. You’ve got to wonder what happened!
10. I really can’t write 10,000 words a day, like some authors urge
No, not even when holed up in a locked room with no TV, no communication with the outside world and all the coffee I can drink. Even when I know exactly where the plot is going and I’m brimming with enthusiasm. I think I once made it to 4K. I have to accept that I’m a slow writer.

Cranberries and Spice Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Cranberries and Spice Blog Hop and a Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I'm going to give away a copy of Cold Nights, Hot Bodies, my sexy winter romance set in the beautiful Cotswolds. Keep reading to enjoy an excerpt that sets the stage for the hot stuff!

Back cover information
All my life I’ve been the quiet bookworm, the office mouse. It hasn’t bothered me. Immersing myself in erotic novels has kept me wriggling on the edge of my seat at work and firmly entrenched in my own fantasy world at night.
Though one thing is bothering me—my damn virginity. If only I could find a sexy bedroom expert to introduce me to the delights of having a lover. Someone handsome and charming, who can rival the hunky alpha males in my books. I have a very vivid, very well-fed imagination—he’ll have to keep up.
Then, one bitterly cold night, thanks to a devious, conniving, so-called friend, the perfect opportunity to rid myself of this pesky virginity problem comes along. Before I know it, the heroes in my novels have come alive in the person of Shane Galloway, who’s pleasuring me with every trick in the book and wheedling into my heart in the hottest ways possible.

“Perfect,” Derek said, grinning down at me. “Lady in Red couldn’t be better since I’m dancing with the only lady wearing red in the room.” His face got serious and I noticed a few beads of sweat on his forehead. “Seriously, Ashley, I’m really going to miss the office when I retire. Janice is so excited and so am I, but it’s going to be hard not seeing my team every day and sharing a laugh over our morning coffee...” His voice trailed off and he looked over my left shoulder. His arm tightened on my waist and he spun me around. My feet stumbled as I came face to chest with Shane Galloway.I looked up.He stared down. He’d ditched his jacket and tie and his white shirt shone neon in the disco lights. Where he’d undone his collar a small collection of dark hairs curled on his chest.“May I?” Shane asked Derek, though his dark gaze stayed captured with mine.“Be my guest,” Derek said, releasing me and stepping backward. “To tell you the truth, I could do with wetting my whistle.” He made a drinking motion with his hand. “I’ll catch you later, Ashley. Don’t forget what we were talking about.” He gave me a quick wink then was swallowed by the crowd.I stood, arms at my sides, as a rush of joy washed through me. Shane was still at the party and not only that, he was looking at me with the same dark twinkle in his eye he’d had earlier.“Come here, lady in red,” he said, reaching for me with both hands. I stifled a gasp as he confidently wrapped one arm around my waist and caught my hand in his. He pulled our knotted fingers against his chest and tugged my body close. My breasts pressed against our joined hands, the exposed flesh peeping over my dress just touching the back of his knuckles and the fold of my own thumb. He swept his tongue over his bottom lip, coated it in a damp sheen, and kept his hand exactly where it was.Reaching up with my free hand, I rested my palm over his shoulder and felt the hardness of taut muscle beneath his shirt, lean and strong, firm and toned. He set up a gentle sway to the music and I followed his lead, absorbing his body heat. “I thought you’d gone,” I said.“I had to make a call. My sister was driving back from Scotland after visiting a friend. I wanted to make sure she’d made it okay through the snow.”“And did she?”“Yeah, she’s home safe and sound.” His mouth broke into a smile and small creases darted toward his temples. “Sipping cocoa with the cat curled up on her lap.”“Good, I’m glad,” I said, mesmerized by his handsome face.He slid his hand up my back and ducked his head to my ear. I breathed in deep as the skin on his jawline came close to my face. He smelled divine, a “fresh from the shower scent” that reminded me of open water and clean air.“Just as well,” he murmured. “I’ve just looked outside. We’re well and truly snowed in here, not much I could have done to help her if she’d got stuck somewhere.”“We are?” I asked. “Snowed in?”“Oh, yes. We’re trapped, no one is going anywhere, in or out of this place.”As he spoke, his hot breath washed over my neck and generated a tickle over my scalp. I’d never experienced a feeling like it before. It was pleasurable. It was exciting. It was sexy as hell. “At least it’s nice and warm in the hotel and there’s plenty of food and drink,” I managed. He pulled back and grinned. “Yeah, but if this ancient heating system breaks down we may have to get inventive with ways to keep warm.”I looked into his eyes. They held a cheeky glint and one side of his mouth twitched, creating a tiny dimple in his right cheek.“What do you suggest?” I asked.“Well.” He tipped his head to the side and narrowed his eyes as if contemplating options. “We could always just drag extra blankets on to the beds, make hot water bottles and drink tea or, and this is probably more advisable, we could share body heat, generate our own warmth. I hear it can save your life to get close and cozy with someone on a cold winter’s night.”“Close and cozy,” I repeated in a whisper, hardly daring to acknowledge in my mind what he was suggesting.“Mmm.” His face was so near to mine, hovering just a hair’s breadth away. “Close and cozy and...naked.”My body jerked. It was involuntary. I hadn’t meant to jump within his arms. But his words were like whips of sensation that traveled around my brain then sent darts of pleasure and terror to all the corners of my being. Naked. With him? Me with Shane Galloway? He huffed and pulled his head back. “Sorry,” he said. “Guess I’m the only one here hoping the heating breaks down, eh?”“Er, no, not at all.” I averted my gaze from his. My thoughts were spinning. What was I supposed to say to that? If I said I wanted the heating to break down I was saying I wanted to get close and cozy and naked with him—hell, I did. And if I said I didn’t want the heating to break down that was saying I wasn’t attracted to him—and I was. I was so attracted to him I wanted to stay in his arms all night. I wanted to kiss him, lick him, adore him all over. I wanted to do the things Tobias and Saffron did on their first night together, and then the things Daisy and Gray did and...Heat rose on my cheeks again. Another blush was about to attack. Burying my head into the crook between his chest and his shoulder, I let my hot skin rest on his soft shirt. He smoothed his hand up my back, settling it beneath my hair and stroking a gentle circle.“Sorry,” he whispered. “I didn’t mean to be so full on. It’s just been a long time since I held a beautiful woman in my arms. I’ve been so caught up in work and study and all that.”“It’s okay,” I murmured, sliding my hands over his shoulders and linking them at the nape of his neck. I tipped my face up to look into his dark eyes. Opportunities, Derek had said. You’ve got to grab them like a terrier and not let go, even if it’s hard to go against your nature, it’s what you’ve got to do. Pulling in a breath, I swallowed a lump of apprehension. “I want the heating to break down too,” I said, beating down a wave of anxiety at the meaning behind my words. We were talking in code. Flirting with each other and testing the water. I’d just told Shane Galloway I wanted to get naked with him.Suddenly the music switched. A hard rock song came on, deafening me with its meaty base. Couples around us snapped apart and began to jig with gusto, waving their arms and kicking out their legs. Shane and I stayed locked together.“You wanna get out of here?” he asked, his face suddenly serious and his brows pulled low.I sucked in a breath. The disco air was hot and the plethora of perfumes and sweat mixed with the smells of dinner suddenly too strong. The music was unbearably loud and the floor overcrowded. ”Yes,” I said, nodding. “Let’s get out of here.”

Excerpt:
Alana really couldn’t believe how flat Holland was. She’d been told by many people, but somehow, she still wasn’t expecting a place that made Cambridgeshire look like the Peak District. Her view from the train as she travelled from Schiphol airport to Amsterdam’s Centraal Station was unimpeded. Not so much as a hillock was visible. And now, here she was, standing outside the station with crowds milling around her. A mixture of tourists, businesspeople and natives. She herself was a combination of two of those groups—she was here on business, but she’d deliberately extended her trip so she could spend a couple of days exploring the city. She had a day either side of her meeting, the boring part a filling to a sightseeing sandwich. Though, despite the boring tag, the meeting definitely wasn’t a bad thing, it was an appointment to cross the ts and dot the is on a very lucrative deal—certainly the trip was worthwhile. After watching the insanity for another minute or so, she began to head away from the station, wheeling her small case along with her. Already armed with a guidebook and a decent map, she knew where she was going. Her map-reading skills were excellent, and she made the short walk to her hotel in less than twenty minutes. Anywhere else, she’d have gotten a cab, but it appeared they were a rare commodity in this city. She’d checked in, dumped her bags and freshened up within another ten minutes, and was back on the street. An online acquaintance had sent her a bunch of information for her trip—about the best museums, interesting things to see that might not be in guidebooks, and details on transport. It appeared that Amsterdam was unlike London, Paris and Rome, in as much as it had trams as its preferred mode of transport, rather than underground trains. Only one Metro line ran through the city, north-to-south. Everywhere else was utterly dependent on trams, bikes and being on foot. And fuck, there were a lot of bikes. They zipped here, there and everywhere, not always staying where they were supposed to be, it seemed. The slim Dutch people atop the bikes were oblivious, just concentrating on getting where they were going.Alana searched for the nearest tram stop, and quickly discovered she needed to be on the other side of the road to head in the right direction.Crossing the road was a chore in itself. A dice with death. She’d thought Rome’s motorists were insane, but at least they were fairly predictable. Here, she was faced with crossing a road that held a cycle path, a tram line and a lane for cars. Shifting down the pavement, she stood at the conveniently placed crossing. It still didn’t make things much easier, but at least she could mingle in with the crowd. Traffic was much more likely to stop if it was going to hit a crowd of people than a single pedestrian. Right?By some miracle, she reached the opposite pavement unscathed—except for her nerves, which were shot—and approached the tram stop. As if by magic, a tram arrived, and it was the correct number. Things were looking up.After a few minutes, she realised that public transport in Amsterdam was nowhere near as easy to navigate as in the other major cities she was familiar with. There, their Tube or Metro stations always had plenty of large, unmissable signs telling you where you were. Piccadilly Circus, Anvers, Piramide. Here, it seemed you were left to your own devices. There were announcements on board the tram, but they were in Dutch—a language which she knew very little of—incredibly muffled, and pretty much drowned out by the sound of the tram’s motion and its passengers.

Sunday Snog

Hello and welcome to Sunday Snog. This week a snog from the Sexy as Hell trilogy which is on special offer for this weekend only. 99p/99c for three 5* BDSM novels and three spin-off stories - now that's a bargain! Written by myself and Natalie Dae under the name Harlem Dae.

Here's a kiss that comes at a very X-rated moment between Victor and Zara just after she's had her first spanking from him. It was his first time making an arse bright red too and he got inventive with some toys!

It didn’t come. Instead, I got a sharp hand spank on each cheek and then I was raised upwards. The vibrator shifted. My head spun at the change in position and my knees refused to support me. But that was okay, Victor had me in his arms, holding me together, folding me into his chest. I found his mouth, kissed him hungrily. He returned my passion, his tongue vying for control. I fought hard to win the battle as he lowered me to the floor and the heat of the fire bled over us. The vibrator stayed lodged high in my arse.“Zara,” he gasped, one-handedly shoving at his sweats. “Yes, Sir?”“I’m going to fuck you now.”“Yes, yes please, Sir.”He hesitated. “Can you take me, at the same time as that?”I caught his cheeks in my palms, spread my legs wider for him to settle between. His need to ask was endearing. Even at the height of his domination over me, he thought to check my boundaries. He was learning well. I was so proud of him in that moment.“We’ll soon find out,” I said, “but switch the damn thing on so you can feel the vibrations too. Sir.”He propped himself on one arm. His chest muscles were defined and tense. A few beads of sweat sat in the centre of his sternum. I wanted to lick them off but didn’t have the energy. I was weak yet alive, full to bursting but wanting to be filled. Victor was with me, over me, yet still I wanted more. I wanted him in me, to crawl beneath my skin and become part of me.Suddenly the vibrator flooded my body with a new, deep and mind-blowing sensation.“Oh, oh...” My arms went weak, so did my legs, and I flopped, only arching my back because of an acute need to tip my pelvis.“Let me in,” Victor said against my mouth as he forced his dick into my pussy .I couldn’t answer. The fast tremors in my back passage travelling to my clit were holding cognitive thought hostage.“Ah, fuck yeah, I can feel it too,” Victor gasped and tunnelled deeper into me. He was kissing me but I couldn’t kiss back, my mouth limp, my body his to do with as he pleased.

Only available on Amazon including Amazon UK and all other Amazon retailers worldwide - please note the first book The Novice was previously titled The Virgin but had to be changed after an issue with Amazon.

What's it all about...?

Sexy as Hell is an erotic trilogy that will submerge you into the black heart of a world of bondage and discipline, Dominance and submission, sadism and masochism.

Dare to take this twisting journey with Victor and you’ll learn the ropes with him, experience every carnal sensation and fall into a dark and dangerous love that grips like a fist and binds like a collar.

Get to know Zara, his sultry teacher, and you’ll gasp when she doles out her sinful instructions but then delight in the stunning results she not only demands but achieves. It seems Heaven and Hell are not so far apart when she holds the reins.

Victor has his layers peeled back, but when he does the same to try to get to his Vixen’s core, a revelation appears. Because Zara is a woman whose vast sexual experience is both her strength and her weakness; she can inflict pain and pleasure, make lusty demands and instruct, but she needs so much more, she needs…

Yes, the time has come to for her to admit to her needs and confess to the repairing her soul hungers for. A sea of memories, a lifetime of control requires an acknowledgement that will cut through her barriers, and there’s only one man up for the job—her virgin, her student, her newly trained monster, Victor Partridge.

Please note, in order to enjoy Victor and Zara’s adventures, the trilogy must be read in order and they have been supplied as such within this box set. Also included in this box set are three spin-off stories to satisfy your curiosity about the colourful secondary characters.

Praise for Sexy as Hell

Long and Short Reviews - 5* - An amazing trilogy, I’d recommend this series to anyone wanting a deeply complex, incredibly intense read. These authors write everything with style, care and such talent I’m pleased to have these additions on my shelves and know I’ll read them again in the future. Not a comfortable book (or series), this nevertheless balances perfectly between too much and not quite enough. I can’t imagine anyone reading it and not wanting more, so amazing is the mix of characters, plot, kink and emotion. A marvelous read that took me to dizzying highs and terrifying lows and a series I can strongly recommend to everyone willing to step on board for the ride of a lifetime.

EFA - If you’re looking for a bit of light slap-and-tickle, this isn’t it...If you’re looking for some superbly well-written and dark BDSM erotica, you should check out Sexy as Hell. You won’t forget it in a hurry.

Reader reviews

" I absolutely loved this book, it was by far better than the 50 Shades of Grey."

" I cannot express just how much this story touched me. I've read many erotic novels and BDSM books but these ones are by far my favourites and I have recommended them to everyone I know."

"This writing duo both got me vested in the characters and made me think. They made me curious, and made me question. What they made me question is for me, just as it will be for other readers, it will be personal to them. I cannot wait to find out where Victor and Zara end up. I also want to read more from these authors! Enjoy this trek thru the psyche of not one but two main characters in this trilogy!"

"The best erotic trilogy I have ever read! FSOG and Crossfire series have nothing on these books. If you like your books a bit edgier then you should read these. I could not put them down! Lots and lots of hotness but also a love story. I loved the style of writing, seen from both characters emotions. All I can say is read and enjoy!"

Sexy as Hell is intended for adults only.

My Sexy Saturday - I’m Too Sexy~ @MySexySaturday #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors

Welcome to My Sexy Saturday. This week I'm sharing a snippet from Sexy as Hell which features Victor Partridge, a successful London architect who meets his match when Zara Watson comes into his life and lures him into the world of BDSM.

The Sexy as Hell Box Set just happens to be on sale this weekend and down from its usual price of $4.99 to only 99c/99p. That's an absolute bargain for three full length 5* BDSM novels and three spin-off stories about the secondary characters. Sexy as Hell is written by myself and Natalie Dae and published under the name Harlem Dae. Find out more on our website including our free magazine.

Here are the first 7 paragraphs from the first book The Novice. Chapter One is told from Zara's point of view.

“Lick my cunt,” I said.I wondered what Victor saw, standing there fully dressed as he was against my bedroom wall. A woman sprawled out on the bed, naked, her fingers spreading her slit apart, or me, Zara Watson, the girl he’d picked up in a coffee shop after work? Or so he’d like to think. I’d picked him up, but I wasn’t about to let him in on how. It had been easy, making him believe he had the gift of the gab, what it took to successfully snare a woman, but in reality I’d orchestrated every move. I doubted his ego could take the truth.“What?” he asked, dark eyebrows going up, eyes widening. So he wasn’t as sophisticated as he’d made out. In my experience, they were all the same. Confident and all-knowing until someone like me threw them. Came out with a simple statement that had them reeling. No idea how to claw back their self-assured air without a pause to take in what had been said. The shock of it was usually too much. Hang on, lady, you’re not meant to be saying things like that to me. It should be the other way around. I ought to be shocking you.“You heard me,” I said, holding back a smirk. “So?”He remained where he stood, more was the pity, and smiled, a tactic I’d seen so many times before. I‘d bet his mind was swirling, him trying to think what he could say that would get him back on top. I only wished he would get on top, or at least do something that would live up to the promise of his sexy words in the coffee shop. I sighed. All mouth and no trousers, that one. Shame he still had his trousers on. Black ones that matched his shirt. A grey silk tie that could be taken two ways— he was either a stuffy prig or had no choice but to wear it for his profession. And he’d told me all about that. An architect, don’t you know, well paid and with a flashy car that he’d wasted no time in describing to me. As though a hunk of metal was of interest. The only hunk I was interested in was him, and the way things were going, I wouldn’t be getting my mitts on him as quickly as I’d envisaged. Shame, because he was a great-looking guy and I wouldn’t be surprised if his body matched the aesthetic appeal of his face.“A bit forward, aren’t you?” he said, rubbing the cute, vertical dink he had in his chin.

Please note The Novice was originally titled The Virgin but had to be changed after a dispute with Amazon.

Saturday Spankings #Sat Spanks

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! This week a real treat for you!
The Sexy as Hell Box Set written by myself and Natalie Dae - Harlem Dae - is only 99p/99c for this week only. It's got a serious amount of spanking and flogging and whipping in it, with male and female butts being reddened left right and centre.

Here's a snippet where Victor is getting a treat and learning for when the tables turn…

He didn’t answer. I slapped his arse, hard, each cheek.

He jolted forwards. My palm tingled.

“This is what’s going to happen,” I said sternly. “While you watch the show, you’re going to imagine yourself screwing The Harlequin. Not boring old missionary, something kinky, anal perhaps, if that’s your secret thing. And I’m going to make your arse a wonderful bright red.”

“You’re, you’re going to spank me...Mistress?”

“Yes, because quite honestly, Victor, you deserve it. After standing me up last night, not using the plug when I told you to, and then all that skiving and sending dirty emails when you should have been working, you really do need to take your punishment.” I leaned closer so my lips caressed his earlobe. “You’ve been bad. Really bad, and for that you must take the consequences, but...I’m pretty damn sure it will get you off.”

He looked at me, taking his attention from The Harlequin, who was reaching into a black-and-white chequered box.

“The show,” I snapped, whacking his arse again.

His cock grew in my other hand. Yes, I had him.

Wild Angels - Early Download

If you love sexy, bad ass bikers then you're in for a treat. Available for early download now from the publisher, Totally Bound, is a hot new M/F anthology Wild Angels and it includes my story Burning Rubber. There's only three biker tales in this anthology so they're all long and meaty enough to really get your teeth into!

Lily Harlem, Helena Maeve, Rosalie Stanton
Burning Rubber by Lily Harlem
When trouble rides into town, what girl can resist the ultimate bad boy?
Handling men isn’t an issue for me. I’m not a girly girl and my best friends are the machines I spend my days fixing, tweaking and servicing. So when the Wild Angels roll onto my forecourt and need my help, I’m happy to be of assistance.
But I’ve always been a magnet for trouble and when the leader of the pack, Gid, questions my ability, I can’t help the sassy backchat. Seems it doesn’t bother him too much and before I know it, I’m climbing onto his beast and hanging on for the ride.
Bad ass guys like him don’t come without baggage, though, and it seems he wants to get rid of mine. Who am I to complain when it means revenge is hot, his body is hotter and we leave a trail of burning rubber as we head into the sunset? Biker girl, me? I guess it’s in the blood.
Reader Advisory: This book contains a scene involving mild breath play.
Witness by Rosalie Stanton
She’s the only thing good about his former life, and he’s been asked to end hers.
Serenity Jones never expected her homecoming to be heralded with a double-murder, or that she’d be the lone witness. Yet when she points the finger at the president of the Lucifer’s Legion Motorcycle Club, she finds herself the target of more than just an investigation—she’s a liability, one Lucifer’s Legion is determined to erase.
Dash Denyar owes everything to Lucifer’s Legion. A decade prior, he set himself on a path of self-destruction, and would have crashed and burned were it not for the motorcycle club. His loyalty was bought and paid for—he just never expected the price of loyalty to include ending the life of Serenity Jones, the only woman he ever loved.
Serenity has dreamed of her reunion with Dash ever since she left her hometown behind. Never did she imagine it would be on the other side of a blindfold, or with her life in the balance. As she tries to work out what happened to her childhood friend, she finds herself battling more than just survivor’s instinct. Ten years of unspoken feelings, regrets, and what-ifs threaten to break her, if Dash doesn’t do it first.
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of kidnap, murder, references to drug use and suicide.
Grounds for Divorce by Helena Maeve
Overworked and jaded, Kayla is convinced she’s had her fill of bad boys when her boyfriend’s debts catapult her into a stranger’s arms.
A woman with a reputation, Kayla has long given up on true love. She’s thirty-three going on ninety-four, mother of one with a boyfriend who makes no secret of settling for her. When she’s not doing the books at the local strip club, she’s warming up the stage. Holding off the loan sharks is par for the course, until the night outlaw biker, Booker O’Connor, rolls into town.
Suddenly the bills come due and, in an act of desperation, Kayla’s boyfriend offers her up as payment for his debts to the motorcycle club. But their new leader has a reputation of his own.
Booker’s the real deal, from prison ink to bullet scars. No matter how sexy he may be or how much she’s growing to hate her boyfriend, Kayla has been with enough bad boys to know that she should fear callused hands and dangerous smiles. Striking out on her own seems like Kayla’s best option, but the Hell Hounds aren’t known for backing down quietly. She doesn’t expect Booker to give chase, much less discover that she doesn’t mind being caught by a man who can finally give her what she wants.
Reader Advisory: This book contains references to prostitution and sexual coercion.

If you just fancy my story, Burning Rubber it will be available for early download on the 5th December and on general release as a solo book on the 2nd Jan 2015
