Happy 7th Birthday

My wonderful and amazing daughter turns 7 today. I can’t even figure out where the time has gone. It’s seems like yesterday she was just a baby. It really proves how precious time is.   HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYDNEY!

Bumps in the Road

Yesterday I wrote about dealing with disappointment. An occurrence, which will happen at some point in everyone’s life but knowing that doesn’t make it any easier. Because I have a mind that has to really thinks things through in order to move past them (and yes overthink at times) I decided to keep with the... Read the Rest »

Dealing with Disappoinment

When Life Goes off the Rails   The best-laid plans of mice and men / Often go awry a quote by Robert Burns which was in a poem he wrote and the idea that sparked John Steinbeck to write Of Mice and Men, which incidentally if you haven’t read it is awesome.   This quote... Read the Rest »

Cupids & Crooks – get your free copy!

The 7th installment in the Presley Thurman series, Cupids & Crooks, will be out on Valentines Day. Presley was thrilled when Cooper surprised her with a trip to an all inclusive resort in Cabo San Lucas. No work and all play was what was on her mind until well renowned Mexican soap opera star, Lucia Vegas, turned... Read the Rest »

TGIF!

Because of the nature of my work I don’t define a work week and don’t normally get excited about the whole it’s Friday and we’re heading into the weekend thing. However, today I am really excited that it is Friday. My mojo has finally started to flow in regards to my current WIP and I’ve... Read the Rest »

I fell off the wagon!

It’s only February and I am sad to report I have already fallen off the wagon as it relates to some 2013 goals. Not all is lost though, I have stayed on track to my work out and healthy eating goals, go figure, but not on my professional goals. Definitely a departure from my norm. In the... Read the Rest »

Restoring my faith in humanity

Something happened today that made me pause and think about what is truly important in life. I was having a bad day and someone made a positive comment to me that was completely unexpected and frankly, not necessary. But yet this person felt it was the thing to say and it made me realize that what I was... Read the Rest »

Juggling

I consider myself fairly coordinated but I can’t juggle balls or bowling pins, or anything for that matter. In life, however, I am not to bad at juggling. It just seems that lately it has been getting harder and harder. When I finally get one thing accomplished and feel good about it I realize I have dropped... Read the Rest »

Forgiveness take 2

A little over two years ago I wrote a post on forgiveness, read here, as I was going through something in my life and was struggling with being able to forgive. Today I am faced with the same dilemma. As I started to blog about it and realized I had done this once already another thought came... Read the Rest »

Too many balls in the air?

I do enjoy having a lot going on. I am one of those people who is a consummate procrastinator when I’m not busy so essentially the busier I am the more effective I am. However, there is a fine line between not having enough going on and being lazy and having too much to reasonably get done and be... Read the Rest »
