Within a few decades of taking power, Genghis Khan had assembled the largest eastern steppes confederation since the 2nd century BC.
In 1206 he reorganized the Mongol army based mainly on skill, rather than tribal affiliation as prior nomad leaders had done. He was especially skilled at moving troops and supplies long distances. For example, in 1218 he would move 35,000 men from the Mongolian capitol in the caravan city Karakarum to attack the Kara-Khitan Empire.*
In 1209 he invaded Xi Xia and took control of the Silk Road. To save themselves from obliteration, the kingdom signed a treaty agreeing to pay tribute and provide Chinese translators and engineers to develop the Mongols’ siege technology.
In 1211 he invaded the Jin Empire and took control of of their rich millet and wheat and their manufacture of armaments and tools.
In 1218 he conquered Kara-Khitan, providing his first major challenge to the Muslim Empire. According to Harl, Arabs in Baghdad welcomed the conquest because they were fed up with Turkish rule. After capturing a few fit males captive as slave solders and shipping the prettiest women back to the steppes for his harem, he decimated the rest of the civilian population. Contemporaneous historical accounts refer to landscapes of bleached bones and pyramids of severed heads.
By 1220-21 all the lands of eastern Islam (Transoxiana, Persia and parts of Afghanistan and southern Russia) were under Mongol control.
Genghis Khan died in 1227, appointing his third son Ogidai as his successor.

Left Wing Dems Launch Campaign Urging Biden Not to Run in 2024

On Tuesday, one of the nation’s more prominent, left-leaning groups urged Joe Biden not to run in 2024 with a six-figure “#DontRunJoe” ad campaign.
RootsAction is the group behind the extensive campaign. The far-left group describes itself as “dedicated to galvanizing people who are committed to economic fairness, equal rights for all, civil liberties, environmental protection.”
This week, the group launched the six-figure ad buy in an attempt to block Biden’s 2024 nomination.
The group posted about the campaign on Twitter, saying, “President Biden has been neither bold nor inspiring and his prospects for winning re-election appear to be bleak, RootsAction announced today that we are launching a campaign to prevent his renomination.”
The group noted their influence: “With an email list of 1.2 million current supporters in the US, we are committed to nationwide organizing to prevent Biden from being the 2024 nominee.”

They are pushing the hashtag #dontrunjoe to help further the campaign’s reach on social media platforms.
The group went on to cite recent polls, showing that Biden’s approval has consistently dropped since taking office.
“94% of voters aged 18 to 29 want someone else other than Joe Biden!!! Older generations always say how it’s this generation of youth that will save us all. Well – why don’t we listen to them for once?”
RootsAction states on its website that the group’s “immediate goal” is to “dump Biden” because of Biden’s string of failures.
The group notes that under Biden’s leadership, the nation is experiencing a baby formula shortage, 40-year-high inflation, record-high gas prices, and a record amount of foreign nationals crossing the southern border.
“Our immediate goal within the Democratic Party is to ‘dump Biden,’ much as the anti-Vietnam–War forces among Democrats set out to ‘dump Johnson’ in 1967, which led antiwar candidates Eugene McCarthy and Robert Kennedy to enter the race,” RootsAction said.
The group joins many others who are speaking up, sharing hopes that Biden will not seek re-election in 2024. Even The New York Times has put a lot of focus to uncover the nation’s disdain for Biden.
Polling shows Biden is in bad shape with Democrats. Only 26% of Democrat voters support Biden’s re-election, while 64% of Democrat voters prefer a Biden substitute, according to The New York Times.

Shinzo Abe opposed COVID vaccines and promoted ivermectin: Was he targeted for supporting health freedom?

By now, you have probably already heard about the assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was shot dead during a recent campaign rally. But what you may not know is that Abe was a fierce health freedom fighter who opposed Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) “vaccines,” lockdowns, and other forms of medical tyranny, as well as supported the right of people to use ivermectin and other prohibited remedies.
Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, Abe is described as “a titan of anti-communism.” During the final months of his premiership back in 2020, he famously resisted the implementation of COVID authoritarianism, which also just so happened to leave Japan in much better shape, public health-wise, than much of the rest of the world that dove headlong into tyranny.
“Abe resisted border controls and the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics and, prior to leaving office, wished for COVID’s official infectious disease categorization to be lowered to the same level as influenza,” writes Michael P. Senger on his Substack. “For this, Abe increasingly came under fire both domestically and internationally.”
Abe was hated by communists because he was a staunch defender of freedom, including health freedomEver since Abe left office, Japan’s covid response has moved increasingly closer to the international standard – meaning it became much more of a medical police state. Even though he was not technically in office throughout the plandemic, Abe is considered to be “a figure of considerable ongoing influence in Japanese politics.”
“Most mandates are still enforced socially rather than legally, but coupled with severe international entry requirements, some expats have dubbed this ‘lockdown in all but name,’” Senger explains about how the loss of Abe both from office and now from life itself has been a terrible thing for Japan, which was doing quite well without covid restrictions.
While the motives of Abe’s assassin are not fully known, we do know that Abe was hated by communists, including those in communist China. Many of them were seen celebrating Abe’s assassination on social media, seeing it as a critical move for chipping away at the ideals of freedom that he long upheld and pushed to preserve in Japan.
“Though the assassination’s political consequences remain to be seen, Abe was one of the staunchest anti-communists in Asia and one of NATO’s most reliable partners,” Senger further writes.
“Under his premiership, Japan gained geopolitical significance on the world stage, especially as a counterweight to China. For that reason alone, his death carries considerable symbolic import.”
As you may recall, former Tanzanian president Dr. John Magufuli suffered a mysterious death back in April 2021 that appears to have been for similar reasons as Abe’s assassination. Magufuli was staunchly anti-communist, having at one point barred China from taking over his country. Like Abe, Magufuli also resisted COVID tyranny.
“Ask any African what happened to him, and they will immediately tell you that he was assassinated,” wrote one of Senger’s readers about Magufuli’s death. “The mainstream Western press loved to paint him as a kook.”
Another pointed out that Magufuli was also the first to demonstrate to the world that PCR tests are fraudulent and not in any way an accurate indicator of illness. He openly mocked the tests, in fact, showing that papaya and various inanimate objects tested “positive” for COVID using PCR tests.

US Activities in Ukraine Smoke Screen for Clearly Criminal Bioresearch

As has been repeatedly pointed out by many media, the United States has long shown the world its disregard for international norms and its willingness to wage war with weapons of mass destruction anywhere in the world.
This fact was further documented during the Russian special operation in Ukraine, which resulted in the Russian Ministry of Defense obtaining multiple pieces of evidence and testimonies of captured Ukrainian and foreign “specialists” involved in the criminal activities of secret US biological laboratories in Ukraine.
For example, it was learned that Washington was preparing to conduct a study to diagnose highly dangerous pathogens, including the Ebola virus, at the Mechnikov Anti-Plague Research Institute in Odessa. It is noteworthy that the disease is not endemic and has never been reported in Ukraine. This raises a legitimate question about the need for such research and the true purpose of it being carried out by the United States particularly on Ukrainian territory.
In addition, US military-controlled biological laboratories in Ukraine have apparently been studying viruses that can be transmitted by mosquitoes, including those that spread Dengue fever, in the interests of developing biological weapons. The stated aim of this “project” was to study viruses capable of infecting Aedes mosquitoes. As a result of work already carried out in this area, the viral preparation was taken to the USA for further aerobiological research. The Pentagon’s interest in vectors of vector-borne diseases and building bioweapons with this in mind stems from the fact that during the last major yellow fever outbreak in Africa in 2013, there were 170,000 cases of severe disease, of which 60,000 ended in death. It is notable that deliberate outbreaks of Dengue virus transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes (the same ones studied in Ukraine) occurred in Cuba in the 1970s and 1980s. The use of Aedes mosquitoes, like those used by the US military in Ukraine, as biological weapons has previously been documented in a class action by Cuban citizens against the US government and has been submitted to the States Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention.
Military microbiologists from the USA, and with them from Germany, have also shown interest in the Ukraine to study tick-borne diseases, research on which was funded by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) as part of projects UP-1, UP-8. Ticks were collected mainly in the south-eastern regions of Ukraine, which are home to natural pockets of diseases characteristic of the Russian Federation, which is officially listed by Pentagon doctrine as a major enemy of the United States. A separate project on ixodid ticks, which are vectors of a number of highly dangerous diseases (tularemia, West Nile fever, Congo-Crimean fever), has been implemented by the University of Texas.
Cooperation between US and German military microbiologists in this field was clearly not incidental or sporadic. Documents obtained during the special operation in Ukraine have revealed that a number of secret Pentagon projects to test biological weapons in Ukraine were carried out on behalf of the Central Medical and Health Service of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). In doing so, special attention was paid to studies of fatal cases of Congo-Crimean fever infection, summarizing demographic, epidemiological and clinical data.
This shows that Ukraine and other post-Soviet states have already become a testing ground for biological weapons not only for the US, but also for its NATO allies. First of all Germany, the Russian Ministry of Defense pointed out in its Telegram channel. It is therefore not surprising that a number of projects have been carried out for the benefit of the Central Medical and Health Service of the German Armed Forces.
As Black&Veatch and Metabiota’s TAP-coded report to the Pentagon demonstrates, alongside this, the US military and intelligence agencies in Ukraine have conducted far from peaceful programs on economically significant quarantine infections, codenamed UP. Such infections, which can damage the agriculture of individual countries and entire regions, have been the main focus of these projects. These include glanders (a contagious zoonotic, mainly chronic infectious disease caused by the bacterium Burkholderia mallei), African swine fever, classical swine fever, highly pathogenic avian influenza and Newcastle disease. Thus the African swine fever was of particular interest to US military biologists and it was this pathogen that was the subject of two projects. For example, the TAP-3 project dealt with studying the spread of the ASF pathogen through wildlife, examining the migration routes of wild boar through Ukraine. The TAP-6 project has already scaled this process to Eastern European countries. According to documents obtained from US biological laboratories, the study of the population of vectors of dangerous diseases was carried out by employees of the Institute of New Pathogens of the University of Florida in the Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine, as well as in the areas bordering on Belarus and Russia. In this context, it is noteworthy that the situation regarding African swine fever has deteriorated in recent years in the Eastern European countries: since 2014, according to the International Office of Epizootics, outbreaks have been reported in Latvia (4,021 cases), Estonia (3,814 cases), Lithuania (4,201 cases) and Poland (over 13,000 cases of ASF have been reported and agricultural losses from the disease exceed €2.4 billion).
Information obtained during the special operation in Ukraine shows that US tests of dangerous diseases were conducted on Ukrainian servicemen, who were engaged as volunteers in experiments to assess the tolerability of dangerous diseases. The state of health of Ukrainian servicemen who have voluntarily laid down their arms also testifies to this: 33% of those surveyed had had hepatitis A, more than 4% had fever with renal syndrome and 20% had West Nile fever. These figures are well above the statistical average. The Russian defense ministry also noted that highly active neuromodulators had been tested on vulnerable Ukrainian citizens, causing irreversible damage to the central nervous system.
This criminal activity by the US in Ukraine was largely made possible because Ukraine had no laws to control dangerous pathogens, and the country had biosecurity deficiencies that made it impossible to respond effectively to emergency situations. And this is confirmed by the US report on the activities of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) from 2005 to 2016, which became available during Russia’s special military operation. The report focuses on non-compliance with biosafety requirements for the work and storage of microbial collections. DTRA activities in Ukraine are assessed positively, as the US has been able to export a microbial collection, organize biological situation assessments and implement projects to study particularly dangerous and economically significant infections that could cause a worsening (changing) epidemiological situation.

Guitarist Who Lost 8 Fingers After J&J Vaccine: People Have to Be Held Accountable
By Rachel Militello On a recent episode of “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast,” guitarist Jeff Diamond described having eight fingers amputated and losing his singing voice after developing blood clots about a week after getting the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
On July 9, 2021, Jeff Diamond, a professional musician, vocal instructor and backup guitarist, got the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 vaccine.About a week later, Diamond was found unconscious in his apartment and taken to a local hospital in Minnesota, where he remained in a coma for three weeks.
Pervasive blood clots — a known side effect of the J&J vaccine — had shut down his kidneys and other organs.
The condition caused doctors to amputate eight of his fingers, without his knowledge or consent, while he was still in a coma.
Diamond, a guest on the July 5 episode of “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast,” told Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., he got the vaccine only because he’d been performing at an event in Atlanta, and didn’t want to risk infecting his mother.
“I was taking care of my mother, and that’s the only reason I got the shot in the first place,” Diamond said.
When Diamond awoke from the coma, he also found himself intubated, which impaired his singing voice.
With his kidneys barely functioning and his balance thrown off by all the medications he was prescribed, Diamond lay in the hospital for another three weeks until he was able to go into a nursing home.
While in the nursing home for six weeks, Diamond’s feeding tube burst open and he was rushed to an emergency room. “Blood was gushing out of my stomach,” he told Kennedy. It “almost killed me.”
A doctor in Minneapolis saved his life, but Diamond told Kennedy he’s been “in pain with these fingers ever since.” Diamond was fitted with prosthetic fingers, but while “they may look great,” he said, “they’re not working out for playing the guitar.”
Diamond’s singing voice has “bounced back a bit,” he said, but not all the way.
And it’s “all from, I believe, the Johnson & Johnson shot,” Diamond said.
Asked if doctors acknowledged a link between the vaccine and his injuries, Diamond said all but one were non-committal.

Face Masks: On Protecting Our Youngest People from Government

I recently had a parent write to me that the overnight camp that they were going to send their child to (fees already paid), had just notified them that mask use was to be required of students at all times. Was there anything I could do? Unfortunately, I can not change the mind-set of a summer camp on the west coast. The CDC is once again promoting policies with no basis in scientific fact, but these policies are reflexively accepted by those whom we trust to care for our children.

We used short term measurements under surgical masks and FFP2 masks according to European norm EN 149, compared to baseline in an experimental, intra-individually controlled study over 25 min. CO2 content was measured every 15 s using an automated dual-wavelength infrared CO2 measurement device (G100, Geotech, Leamington Spa, UK) over 25 min in a short-term experimental setting, with children seated. After baseline measurement children were provided with two types of commonly worn NMC: surgical masks and FFP2–masks in randomized sequence for 3 min each. We kept ambient CO2-levels below 1000 parts per million (ppm) through frequent ventilation. We measured breathing frequency and pulse as potential physiological moderator variables. Forty-five children, 25 boys, 20 girls, with a mean age of 10.7 years (standard deviation 2.6) were measured. We measured 13,100 ppm (SD 380) under surgical mask and 13,900 ppm (SD 370) under FFP2 mask in inhaled air. A linear model with age as a covariate showed a highly significant effect of the condition (p Appropriate contrasts revealed that the change was due to the masks only and the difference between the two types of masks was small and not significant. Wearing of NMC (surgical masks or FFP2- -masks) raises CO2 content in inhaled air quickly to a very high level in healthy children in a seated resting position that might be hazardous to children’s health.
From the Conclusions:
In conclusion we have produced experimental data that show that carbon dioxide content in inhaled air rises on average to 13,000 to 13,750 ppm no matter whether children wear a surgical or an FFP2 mask. This is far beyond the level of 2,000 ppm considered the limit of acceptability and beyond the 1,000 ppm that are normal for air in closed rooms. This estimate is rather on the low side, as we only measured this after a short time without physical exertion. Decision makers and law courts should take this into consideration when establishing rules and guidance to fight infections.

Wuhan lab where coronavirus believed to originate eligible for TAXPAYER FUNDING until 2024

The National Institute of Health (NIH) admitted that a lab in Wuhan is authorized to receive [US] taxpayer funding until Jan. 2024.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) is being investigated as more and more people speculate that the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) may have been first engineered there. It could have infected the general population due to an accidental leak. This is a claim that has been repeatedly denied by the Chinese Communist Party.
Prior to the outbreak, researchers at the Wuhan lab were studying bat-based coronaviruses. This project was financially supported by American taxpayers with a $600,000 grant routed to the WIV by the EcoHealth Alliance, a nonprofit organization that claims to study emerging infectious diseases.
EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak was the sole American member of a delegation sent by the World Health Organization (WHO) to China in January and February. This delegation was supposed to investigate the origins of the coronavirus.
Daszak has urged the White House and the administration of President Joe Biden to support the WHO delegation’s preliminary conclusion that it was highly unlikely the virus that caused the global pandemic that has killed millions worldwide could have leaked from the lab. (Related: No surprise: WHO kowtows to communist China, announces the virus didn’t come from the Wuhan lab.)
The WHO delegation’s full report on its “investigation” has yet to be released.
Daszak added that information gathered by American intelligence officers indicating that researchers at the WIV may have come down with symptoms of COVID-19 before the first known cases in Dec. 2019 should not be trusted.
Speaking to reporters last week, State Department spokesman Ned Price said that the U.S. requires “full transparency and access” from the WHO and the CCP to accept the delegation’s findings before it accepts any conclusion.
Last year, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus insisted that the organization’s scientists have not ruled out the possibility that COVID-19 was an engineered virus that leaked from a lab in Wuhan despite the fact that teams from the WHO have made declarations calling it “extremely unlikely.”
“Some questions have been raised as to whether some hypotheses have been discarded,” said Tedros at a press briefing. “Having spoken with some members of the team, I wish to confirm that all hypotheses remain open and require further analysis and study.”
“Some of the work may lie outside the remit and some of this mission,” he added. “We have always said that this mission would not find all the answers, but it has added important information that takes us closer to understanding the origins of the COVID-19 virus.”
American taxpayers to fund Wuhan institute for several more yearsAccording to the Wall Street Journal, EcoHealth Alliance was granted $3.7 million by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases back in 2014. The organization was tasked with researching bat-based coronaviruses in China.
Back in April on 2020, the NIH terminated the grant to EcoHealth after criticism emerged regarding the organization’s relationship with the Wuhan lab. In a letter, the NIH said EcoHealth Alliance’s work in China no longer aligned with “program goals and agency priorities.”
In July, the NIH said it was willing to restore funding to EcoHealth if it met some of the agency’s requirements. These conditions included obtaining a sample of SARS-COV-2 that the WIV used to determine its genetic sequence, and arrange an independent team of investigators to go to the Wuhan lab and determine whether it was in possession of the virus before Dec. 2019.
Furthermore, the NIH demanded that EcoHealth learn the whereabouts of a scientist who worked at the Wuhan lab whose photo was removed from the institute’s website. The scientist is being investigated due to the possibility that she may be coronavirus “patient zero.” The WIV previously said the scientist in question was working there temporarily as a graduate student, and that when she finished her master’s degree, she resigned to do other work.
During an interview with NPR, Daszak called the NIH’s conditions “preposterous.”
“I’m not trained as a private detective,” said Daszak. “It’s not really my job to do that.”
But a representative from the NIH told the alternative news outlet the Daily Caller News Foundation that the agency’s Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare still has a “Foreign Assurance” file with the WIV. This means that the Wuhan lab is still eligible to receive taxpayer funding to continue its animal research.
The NIH spokeswoman told the Daily Caller that the WIV’s Foreign Assurance grant was approved on Jan. 9, 2019, and is set to expire on Jan. 31, 2024. She did not confirm with the Daily Caller whether the WIV was currently receiving taxpayer funding, either directly or indirectly,
Anthony Belloti, president of the White Coat Waste Project, a nonpartisan watchdog organization, told the Daily Caller that EcoHealth Alliance should be stripped of all taxpayer funding.
“We’re urging Congress and the White House to defund EcoHealth now,” said Belloti, “and secure independent investigations into whether their treacherous gain-of-function animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology led to the COVID outbreak.”

Owing to my passion for hidden history, I found this book a fascinating read. In addition to being meticulously researched and footnoted, The Clash of the Two Americas is also extremely readable, thanks to Canadian historians Ehret and Cheung’s gift for explaining complex ideas in ordinary language.
In Volume 1 of this three volume series, the authors introduce us to the British Foreign Office “fifth column” that has dominated American history, a taboo topic in US public schools and universities. Much of the first volume focuses on early efforts by patriot Benjamin Franklin to create a stable and independent American economy to ensure true political independence.
In Franklin’s view, government support for the development of productive industries (via infrastructure investment, protective tariffs, national banking and public credit) was essential for creating this economic environment, as were international agreements in which sovereign nations supported the industrial development of potential rivals, instead of trying using so-called “free trade” agreements to subjugate and exploit (ie colonize) them.[1]
On the domestic side, Franklin started the first fire department (1736) in the 13 colonies, the first public (1731) and the University of Pennsylvania (1740). To escape the power of the British banking system, he called for the colonies to issue their own paper currency, as well as issuing numerous pamphlets calling for the abolition of slavery Hoping that Quebec (which in 1774 encompassed all of modern day Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Ontario and Nova Scotia) would become a 14th colony, he created Canada’s postal service in Halifax in 1753 (extended to Quebec and Montreal after the British defeated the French in 1763) and the first Canadian newspaper (Montreal Gazette) in 1776.
In 1775, he also chaired the four-man committee responsible for writing the Declaration of Independence and is primarily responsible for its content (not Thomas Jefferson as we are taught in school).
An extremely skilled diplomat, Franklin also spent extensive periods in Britain, France, Russia and Germany promoting programs of mutual technology sharing. Thanks largely to his influence, at the time of the American Revolution, there was a significant enlightened intelligentsia sharing his views in Russia, France, Germany, Prussia, Spain, India and Morocco (which is why most of these countries provided material aid to the rebels in their war against Britain).
When British East India Company economist Thomas Malthus published his 1798 book An Essay on the Principal of Population, the divide between intellectuals who supported Franklin’s enlightened economic views and those who favored continuing exploitation of colonies, slaves and the working class became even more polarized.[2]
Alexander Hamilton, one of Franklin’s protégés,[3] played an essential role after independence in creating America’s first national bank. With his murder in 1804 by Aaron Burr,[4] the British banking system and America’s Anglophiles deliberately undermined the US credit system, causing major speculative booms and busts. Ehret and Cheung go on to remind us that every president who tried to escape British banking and Wall Street control of the US money system died in office (ie Harrison, Taylor, Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and Harding).
The other really interesting section of this book concerns the role of the British Foreign office in instigating the secession of the Southern Confederacy, in funding and arming them during the Civil War and in the assassination of President Lincoln. This, as other sections of the book, is carefully sourced and documented.

Adam Smith strongly supports free trade in his 1776 book Wealth of Nations. So did the slave owning Thomas Jefferson, America’s third president.

In contrast, Franklin’s protégés believed that ending private banks’ control of the money system and industrial development would enable countries to continue to feed growing populations.

Chemical Industry — Not Farmers — Should Pay for Pollution Caused by Nitrogen Fertilizers
By Vandana Shiva We should reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and make the chemical industry pay for nitrogen pollution, instead of criminalizing farmers trapped in a chemical treadmill by the industrial agriculture model.
The nitrogen problem in agriculture is a problem created by synthetic nitrogen fertilizers made from fossil fuels — the manufacture and use of nitrogen fertilizers contribute to atmospheric pollution and climate change.The manufacture of synthetic fertilizers is highly energy-intensive. One kg of nitrogen fertilizer requires the energy equivalent of 2 liters of diesel.
Energy used during fertilizer manufacture is equivalent to 191 billion liters of diesel in 2000 and is projected to rise to 277 billion in 2030.
This is a major contributor to climate change, yet is largely ignored. One kilogram of phosphate fertilizer requires half a liter of diesel.
Nitrogen fertilizers also emit a greenhouse gas, N2O, which is 300 times more destabilizing for the climate system than CO2.
The linear extractive agriculture system based on fossil fuels is rupturing ecological processes and planetary boundaries. The planetary boundaries that have been transgressed to a high-risk zone are biodiversity and nitrogen pollution from chemical fertilizers.
The most severe violations of planetary boundaries are due to fossil fuel, chemical-intensive industrial globalized agriculture, the disruption of biodiversity integrity and genetic diversity leading to biodiversity loss and species extinction, and the biochemical nitrogen and phosphorus cycles caused by large-scale monocultures and large-scale use of chemical pesticides.
Erosion of genetic diversity and the transgression of the nitrogen boundary have already crossed catastrophic levels. These overshoots are rooted in the chemical-intensive, fossil fuel-intensive industrial model of agriculture. Ninety-three percent of cultivated crops have disappeared.
The scientific and just response to the nitrogen problem is to shift from fossil fuel chemical agriculture to biodiverse ecological agriculture and regenerative farming and to create transition strategies for farmers to shift to ecological agriculture, which regenerates soil nitrogen while making farmers free of harmful and costly chemicals.
Chemical-free food is good for the health of the planet and people.
The unscientific, unjust and undemocratic response to the chemical industry-created nitrogen problem is to reduce farmers instead of reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers as is happening in the Netherlands.
To reduce chemical fertilizer use, governments need to make the fertilizer industry pay for nitrogen pollution, and redirect subsidies from industrial agriculture to ecological farming. Criminalizing farmers for the crimes of the chemical industry is unfair and unjust.
We need more farmers, not less, to regenerate the earth through an economy of care and belonging, and to produce real food which regenerates the health of the planet and our health.
There is a dystopian vision of a future of “Farming with Farmers,” digital agriculture with larger farms, more fertilizer use, more biodiversity loss.
While creating “Farming without Farmers” billionaires like Bill Gates are promoting more synthetic fertilizer use, aggravating the nitrogen problem.
Gates is promoting nitrogen fertilizers and chemical-intensive GMO soya as raw material for lab-made fake food that is being labeled as “plant-based.”

In total denial of climate science and soil ecology, Gates is continuing the “chemical hocus pocus” when he says we need to use more fertilizer.
“To grow crops, you want tons of nitrogen — way more than you would ever find in a natural setting. Adding nitrogen is how you get corn to grow 19 feet tall and produce enormous quantities of seed.”
This statement is scientifically and ecologically false.
Soil is a living system. There are multiple pathways to regenerate the soil and soil nitrogen and heal the nitrogen cycle.
The living soil was forgotten for an entire century with very high costs to nature and society. Soil was defined as an “empty container” for pouring synthetic fertilizers into, which were falsely seen as the source of soil fertility.
“Bread from air” was the slogan after the discovery of the Haber Bosch process for fixing atmospheric nitrogen by burning fossil fuels. The illusion grew that we did not need soil.
There was the exaggerated claim that artificial fertilizers would increase food production and remove all ecological limits that land puts on agriculture.
Today the evidence is growing that artificial fertilizers have reduced soil fertility and food production and contributed to desertification, water scarcity and climate change. They have created dead zones in the oceans.
The process used to make explosives by burning fossil fuels at high temperatures to fix atmospheric nitrogen was later used to make chemical fertilizers.
Justus von Liebig was the father of organic chemistry, the first scientist to explain the role of nitrogen in plants, which was quickly appropriated by greed for commerce. A new industry was created for external inputs of nitrogen, dubbed “growth stimulants.”
Outraged at the distortion of his scientific findings, in 1861 he wrote a book, “The Search for Agricultural Recycling.”
Liebig’s book was the voice of a true scientist, protecting his truth from distortions of a pseudo-science being created by commercial interests. He writes:
“I thought it would be enough to just announce and spread the truth as is customary in science. I finally came to understand that this wasn’t right, and the altars of lies must be destroyed if we wish to give truth a fair chance.”
The truth that Liebig was defending was that the soil is living, and its life depends on recycling, or what Sir Albert Howard later called “The Law of Return” in his “An Agricultural Testament” nearly half a century later.
The lie he wanted to destroy was what he called the “chemical hocus pocus,” that you can keep extracting nutrients from the soil, giving nothing back, and have “high yields.”
Selling more fertilizers is good for the profits of the chemical industry, but it is not good for the soil or the climate. It violates nature’s law of return. And it denies farmers the ecological alternatives to regenerate and renew soil nitrogen.
Farmers did not create the nitrogen problem. The problem is created by the chemical industry. According to the polluter pays principle, the chemical industry must pay for the pollution. Farmers are consumers of fertilizers, not the manufacturers.
They are victims of a chemical-intensive industrial agriculture system, like the biodiversity of plants, and animals and the consumers whose health is degenerating with industrial food style chronic diseases. The planet and people need more farmers, not less.

Elon Musk’s plan to buy Twitter might be on hold for now after the world’s richest man came to the conclusion that artificial intelligence (AI) bots posing as human users account for the vast majority of users on the platform.
Based on his assessment, Musk alleges that up to 90 percent of Twitter’s entire user base is fake. This situation has obvious implications for the valuation of the company. If most of the users are fake, advertisers will be far less interested in spending money to place ads on the platform. But the implications of the bot count don’t stop there and reveal much about the true, inner workings of Big Tech.
Because Musk’s assessment reveals that Twitter’s fake accounts are not just about ad revenue. The vast majority of Twitter’s “daily users,” it appears, are automated spam bots that the Big Tech giant uses to induce mass formation psychosis [see Mass Formation Psychosis] and other forms of social conditioning.
