Scientists Conclude Fluoride Causes Hypothyroidism Leading To Depression, Weight Gain, and Worse… hqanon

Two damning studies on the effects of fluoride in our water have been released in the hope that people will wake up to this real problem.

Researchers at the University of Kent are the latest establishment to have studied this growing problem.

The extensive study involved them looking at data from nearly every single medical practice in England, and they found that fluoride may be increasing the risk for hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid, a condition in which the thyroid gland fails to produce enough hormones, resulting in symptoms such as fatigue, obesity and depression.

The study, published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, included the largest population ever to be analysed in relation to fluoride consumption.

Turkey’s Erdogan stages his own coup – against ALL opposition

Turkish authorities have detained 11 lawmakers across the country from the left-wing Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). Two of those detained are HDP co-chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş. There are also arrest warrants out for other HDP MPs relating to what Amnesty International calls “trumped-up terrorism charges”.

Arrests of opposition MPs are currently underway in Turkey. This is an escalation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s 15-month-long coup against his political opponents. And while there has been widespread condemnation of these arrests, this alone will not bring Turkish democracy back to life. In the latest state crackdown, Turkish authorities have detained 11 lawmakers across the country from the left-wing Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). Two of those detained are HDP co-chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş. There are also arrest warrants out for other HDP MPs relating to what Amnesty International calls “trumped-up terrorism charges”. Erdoğan has sought to link the pro-Kurdish HDP to rebels from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) ever since ending promising peace negotiations with the group in July 2015.

Ruling coalition gives up trying to pass TPP-ratifying bill after minister’s gaffe | The Japan Times

by Tomohiro Osaki

Staff Writer

After a new round of calls for the resignation of Japan’s gaffe-prone agricultural minister, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s ruling coalition on Wednesday gave up trying to pass a bill to ratify the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement through a special Lower House committee.

The failure by the Liberal Democratic Party-Komeito coalition to adopt the bill at the committee tasked with TPP deliberations — a key step toward its passage through the Lower House plenary session — compromised Abe’s effort to win domestic approval of the multinational deal before the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday.

Colorado Hemp Farmers Are Turning to Bitcoin for Their Banking Woes

Source: Motherboard

You could almost say Veronica Carpio was born to sell cannabis. Aside from having a birthday on 4/20, the 38-year old Colorado native was also the first female dispensary owner in the state, ran a covert coffee shop appropriately called The Front, and now oversees the largest hemp seed exchange in the state while producing her own brand of hemp coffee.

When I spoke with Carpio during a smoke break at the CryptoCannabis Conference in Denver last month, her passion for pot was palpable, but it was this very enthusiasm for ganja which had landed her in hot water in the past. In 2011, Carpio was arrested for brokering a $30,000 deal which would’ve sent ten pounds of pot from her dispensary out of state. The three-month undercover sting operation resulted in one felony charge and a year on probation, but for Carpio it was just the beginning of her cannabis woes.

After she was raided and arrested, Carpio pivoted away from marijuana toward hemp, a type of cannabis with next to no THC content. In Colorado, hemp is legally defined as any cannabis plant with a THC concentration of less than .3 percent. Although hemp is not as strictly regulated by the Colorado government because the end product lacks a psychoactive component, this relaxed attitude doesn’t translate to federally regulated financial institutions operating in the state, a lesson that Carpio learned the hard way.

It’s no secret that banks, credit card companies, and online payment apps like PayPal have no desire to work with businesses that traffic in legally nebulous goods (even though the Justice Department has gone on record to say that it’s chill). This leaves most cannabusinesses with two options: don’t have a bank account or lie about the nature of your business to the bank. Many dispensaries and cannabis cultivators in Colorado have opted for the latter option, including Carpio. These cannabis entrepreneurs are inevitably caught (it’s really hard to not raise a red flag when you’re depositing tens of thousands of dollars in cash into your account every week) and punished. . .

US servicemen may be charged for ‘aiding and abetting war crimes’ in Yemen – Congressman

Russia-Today

US military personnel may be subject to war crimes probes if the Saudi-led coalition hits civilian targets in Yemen because the US refuels the coalition’s jets, Ted Lieu warned in a letter to Pentagon chief Ashton Carter and Secretary of State John Kerry.

Lieu, a Democratic member of the House of Representatives and a former US Air Force lawyer, argued that while the US distanced itself from reviewing and selecting targets in Yemen, it nevertheless could bear responsibility for the Saudi-led coalition air strikes if they hit civilians…

Margaret Thacher: Channeling Churchill’s Messianic Vision

The Living Dead

Part 3 “The Attic”

By Adam Curtis (1995)

Film Review

In Part 3 of The Living Dead, his series exploring the elite’s selective rewriting of history, Adam Curtis explores Margaret Thatcher’s dramatic reprisal of Britain’s “glorious golden age.” According to Curtis, Thatcher rose to power thorough detailed study and imitation of Winston Churchill’s speeches and rhetoric. In this respect, she was very different from most “perception management” artists in that she really believed she was going to restore Britain to its former power and glory.

Curtis suggests that Churchill was also convinced he was going to restore Britain to its eighteenth century imperial magnificence and became really depressed when he failed to do so.

The documentary offers quite a convincing analysis of the “messianic vision” that facilitated the rise to power of both Churchill and Thatcher. In Thatcher’s case, it was based on her romanticized childhood reading of history and incorporated a substantial amount of fantasy. This vision, strongly enforced in Britain’s private schools and military academies, emphasizes morality, discipline, patriotism, tradition, hierarchy, idealization of the monarchy, and respect for authority. Although this intensely hierarchical system only benefits a tiny minority of British society, its romantic pageantry is often extremely effective in winning middle and working class votes.

Declaration on Lakota Nationhood and the Dakota Access Pipeline Conflict to the United Nations and the International Community

November 1, 2016   |   Original: English

To Officers of the United Nations and Friends of Lakota in the International Community:

SINCE THE BEGINNING of the pipeline conflict between the Hunkpapa Lakota Oyate (People) of Standing Rock Reservation and Dakota Access Ltd. (DAPL), the Independent Lakota Nation has closely monitored the situation through regular communication with the Hunkpapa Lakota Oyate, via our designated observers on the ground, and other reports.

We call the attention of the United Nations and the International Community to the egregious violations of International human rights and International Law that are occurring within our aboriginal territory:

The United States Government along with U.S. state and local governments continue to illegally occupy our unceeded, aboriginal lands by force, and permit private land owners (squatters) and corporations to destroy…

2 Police Officers Turn In Badges In Support Of Standing Rock Water Protectors

Two cops hand in badges – “this isn’t what we signed up for.”

Culture of Awareness

standingBy Lance Schuttler, November 3, 2016, TheMindUnleashed.com (Thanks to Golden Age of Gaia)

http://tinyurl.com/j6xfjxw

Earlier today it was reported by Redhawk at Standing Rock in North Dakota that two police officers have turned in their badges in support of the water protectors.

“There have been at least 2 reports of police officers turning in their badges acknowledging that this battle is not what they signed up for. You can see it in some of them, that they do not support the police actions. We must keep reminding them they are welcome to put down their weapons and badge and take a stand against this pipeline as well. Some are waking up.”
-Redhawk

With actions from militarized police continuing to be seen as extremely violent and dangerous, this news is a big win for the water protectors and for humanity as a whole. While the actions of some police officers…

History as Fiction: How the Ruling Elite Rewrites History

The Living Dead

Directed by Adam Curtis

Part 1 – “On the Desperate Edge of Now”

Film Review

The Living Dead is an early Adam Curtis documentary regarding collective perception control techniques ruling elites use to retain power. It specifically addresses the technique of re-creating national history to ensure that populations selectively recall positive historical eras while suppressing all memory of negative events. Only Parts 1 and 3 are available in full on YouTube (Part 2 “You Have Used Me as a Fish Long Enough” is available but the audio is too distorted to be intelligible). Tomorrow I’ll post Part 3, about Margaret Thatcher channeling Winston Churchill’s messianic vision.

In Part 1, Curtis focuses on the Nuremberg war crimes trials of 1945-46. He maintains these trials were the first major propaganda assault against any historical memory of atrocities and war crimes the US and Britain committed during World War II (see British and American War Crimes During World War II).

In the US, the official determination to re-frame World War II as the “just war” would prove very troubling for individual veterans who had witnessed American atrocities (Kurt Vonnegut writes about it in Slaughterhouse Five and Joseph Heller in Catch 22).

The resulting disconnect between official accounts and their lived experiences often resulted in intense feelings of apprehension, hopelessness, isolation and fear of impending disaster. (It sure did in my father.)

The film features an excerpt from a secret film the US army made about a program designed to help veterans “forget” their troubling memories.
