(ANTIMEDIA) Cannabis legalization advocates are planning to hand out scores of free weed at President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration. Marijuana activist group DCMJ intends to distribute 4,200 joints to be lit up, appropriately, at 4:20 pm on January 20 at the Trump inauguration. They are calling the protest an act of civil disobedience; though cannabis is currently legal in the nation’s capital thanks, in part, to the efforts of DCMJ, it remains illegal on federal property like the National Mall, where the inauguration will take place.

2020 Olympics: Fukushima to Host Baseball/Softball
Photo credit: Steve Herman Wikimedia Commons
Hundreds of Ultra Fit Athletes and Thousands of International Visitors to be Irradiated in 2020
What’s wrong with this picture? In what utterly corrupt and debased universe could this possibly happen?
According to the Japan Times, Tokyo 2020 Olympic organizers have given the green light for disaster-affected Fukushima Prefecture to host baseball and softball games. The position of Japan’s government is that Fukushima has been “decontaminated” by removing five centimeters (a little under two inches) of topsoil and placing it in gigantic plastic bags.
Independent radiation measurements by Greenpeace (see video below) suggest that radiation levels remain extremely high and hazardous to human health. Despite this fact, the Japanese government are pressuring Fukushima refugees to return to their homes later this year by discontinuing their government assistance.
Some international observers question whether the decision to hold the 2020 Olympics in Japan is part of the on-going cover-up of the ongoing radiation risk posed by the ongoing core meltdowns at Fukushima that continue to spew radiation into the air, groundwater and Pacific Ocean.
At present, French prosecutors are investigating the Japanese Olympic Committee for a 2.8 million Singapore dollars bribe linked to the 2013 decision to award them the 2020 Olympics.

Angry Trump Demands Congressional Probe Into NBC Leak Of Top Secret Intelligence Report

Trump demands congressional investigation into NBC leak of top secret intelligence report.
On Thursday evening, during one of his latest Tweetstorms, Trump criticized leaks to several media outlets detailing contents of the classified Russian hacking report which Trump is set to go over any minute.
The leaks came before Trump’s own briefing on those details by the intelligence community. The 50-page report was delivered to US President Barack Obama on Thursday, and is to be delivered to President-elect Donald Trump on Friday by top intelligence officials, including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and CIA Director John Brennan, the Washington Post reports, one of several outlets that were given priority over the president-elect in learning the details of the document. CNN and NBC News also reported on the classified report, sparking outrage from Trump.
“How did NBC get ‘an exclusive look into the top secret report he (Obama) was presented?’ Who gave them this report and why? Politics!” Trump said in a…

TRUMP QUESTIONS WHY DNC WON’T ALLOW FBI ACCESS TO SERVERS: ‘WHAT IS GOING ON?’
*
*
Trump points out that the Democratic National Committee is refusing to allow the FBI access to its servers – he wants to know how they can be so certain the Russians are responsible without examining the servers. Seems like a reasonable question to me.
Former official: “The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access”
Steve Watson | Infowars.com – JANUARY 6, 2017
President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter late Thursday to address assertions that the DNC is withholding access to it’s servers and refusing to fully cooperate with the FBI in the investigation into the leaked emails.
“If the FBI itself never examined DNC servers, Trump wrote, “how and why are they so sure about hacking”?
“What is going on?” Trump added.
While the DNC contends that the FBI has not requested access to its servers, a former senior FBI official told reporters Thursday that the FBI repeatedly asked for access “only to be rebuffed.”
“The DNC had several meetings with representatives of the FBI’s Cyber Division and its Washington (D.C.) Field Office, the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices,” said DNC spokesman Eric Walker…

NZ Blogger seeks political asylum in Russia « The Daily Blog
By Martyn Bradbury / January 2, 2017
I’ve known Suzie for about 3 or 4 years. She has attracted intense scrutiny and harassment from the NZ SIS and GCSB because of her proximity to senior members of Anonymous and Occupy. The harassment of her has been pretty extreme and exhausting and I suspect it has taken a toll on her and her young family. What must have been the straw that broke the camels back to seek asylum in Russia has been the allegation of a recent theft of 2 terabytes of information from the National Government.
My understanding is that the Government Intelligence Agencies very much want those two terabytes of information back and are going to pretty extreme levels to keep a mainstream media blackout over it missing at all.
My guess is that those intelligence agencies won’t get it back and that it’s going to explode on wikileaks.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer pack of bastards . . .

Editor’s Note: The primary rationale for Dawson’s harassment relates to exposes she produced as part of the Occupy Auckland media team. She originally left New Zealand with her two young children to escape the harassment. While in Berlin, she had growing reason to believe her passport might be cancelled. At that point she sought asylum in Russia to avoid being rendered a stateless person like Edward Snowden.
Below is documentary Dawson has produced describing in detail the psychological harassment she endured from NZ intelligence – and more shockingly (and illegally) the FBI and NSA. It includes many of the techniques employed against me in the late 1980s (which I describe in The Most Revolutionary Act), including, but not limited to illegal break-ins, phone harassment (repeated crank and hangup calls), gang stalking, audio harassment, gas lighting, targeted messages and digital harassment.

UK Social Media Army Struggling on Troll Recruitment

At first glance I thought this was satire – it’s not.
The British Army is struggling with their troll recruitment.
Only a few have signed up, and not that they are unqualified. Because trolling is just as easy as twisting what’s already been said, just to annoy and slow down the activist, or post inflammatory comments to ruin the whole conversation.

US Special Operations Forces Deploy to 138 Nations, 70 Percent of the World’s Countries
Source: Truthout
They could be found on the outskirts of Sirte, Libya, supporting local militia fighters, and in Mukalla, Yemen, backing troops from the United Arab Emirates. At Saakow, a remote outpost in southern Somalia, they assisted local commandos in killing several members of the terror group al-Shabab. Around the cities of Jarabulus and Al-Rai in northern Syria, they partnered with both Turkish soldiers and Syrian militias, while also embedding with Kurdish YPG fighters and the Syrian Democratic Forces. Across the border in Iraq, still others joined the fight to liberate the city of Mosul. And in Afghanistan, they assisted indigenous forces in various missions, just as they have every year since 2001.
For America, 2016 may have been the year of the commando. In one conflict zone after another across the northern tier of Africa and the Greater Middle East, US Special Operations forces (SOF) waged their particular brand of low-profile warfare. “Winning the current fight, including against the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, and other areas where SOF is engaged in conflict and instability, is an immediate challenge,” the chief of US Special Operations Command (SOCOM), General Raymond Thomas, told the Senate Armed Services Committee last year.
SOCOM’s shadow wars against terror groups like al-Qaeda and the Islamic State (also known as ISIL) may, ironically, be its most visible operations. Shrouded in even more secrecy are its activities — from counterinsurgency and counterdrug efforts to seemingly endless training and advising missions — outside acknowledged conflict zones across the globe. These are conducted with little fanfare, press coverage, or oversight in scores of nations every single day. From Albania to Uruguay, Algeria to Uzbekistan, America’s most elite forces — Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets among them — were deployed to 138 countries in 2016, according to figures supplied to TomDispatch by US Special Operations Command. . .

‘God, rid us of men!’ from feminist song Shocking and Delighting Saudis

In radical new pop hit, Saudi women express their true views on men.

From Observers with thanks Women wearing niqabs ride bikes, rollerskate and roll down the street on scooters, play basketball or go bowling, dance like nobody’s watching, and sing about dismantling the patriarchy. Pretty incendiary stuff — at least when it’s the video clip for a new pop song in Saudi Arabia.
The song “Hwages” (“Concerns”) by the Saudi singer Majed Al-Esa is making waves in the Wahhabi kingdom, having hit over 2 million views on YouTube in just over a week.
In the first part of the video, women wearing niqabs (a veil, usually black, that covers the face while leaving the eyes uncovered) get in the back of a car, leaving the passenger seat at the front empty, while the vehicle is driven by a young boy.

In 2016, U.S. special forces were deployed in at least 33 African nations, more than 60% of the 54 countries on the continent.
Using data provided by Special Operations Command and open source information, The Intercept found that U.S. special operators were actually deployed in at least 33 African nations, more than 60% of the 54 countries on the continent, in 2016.
Special Operations Forces deployments in 33 African countries in 2016.
…The majority of African governments that hosted deployments of U.S. commandos in 2016 have seen their own security forces cited for human rights abuses by the U.S. State Department, including Algeria, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, and Tanzania, among others.
According to data provided to The Intercept by Special Operations Command, elite U.S. troops are also deployed to Sudan, one of three nations, along with Iran and Syria, cited by the U.S. as “state sponsors of terrorism.”

RADICAL DRINKING WATER RADIATION RISE CONFIRMED IN EPA PLAN
[image error]
EPA Hid Planned Exposure Levels 1,000s of Times Safe Drinking Water Act Limits
Washington, DC — In the last days of the Obama Administration, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is about to dramatically increase allowable public exposure to radioactivity to levels thousands of times above the maximum limits of the Safe Drinking Water Act, according to documents the agency surrendered in a federal lawsuit brought by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER). These radical rollbacks cover the “intermediate period” following a radiation release and could last for up to several years. This plan is in its final stage of approval.
The documents indicate that the plan’s rationale is rooted in public relations, not public health. Following Japan’s Fukushima meltdown in 2011, EPA’s claims that no radioactivity could reach the U.S. at levels of concern were contradicted by its own rainwater measurements showing contamination from Fukushima throughout the U.S. well above Safe Drinking Water Act limits. In reaction, EPA prepared new limits 1000s of times higher than even the Fukushima rainwater because “EPA experienced major difficulties conveying to the public that the detected levels…were not of immediate concern for public health.”
When EPA published for public comment the proposed “Protective Action Guides,” it hid proposed new concentrations for all but four of the 110 radionuclides covered, and refused to reveal how much they were above Safe Drinking Water Act limits. It took a lawsuit to get EPA to release documents showing that
The proposed PAGs for two radionuclides (Cobalt-60 and Calcium-45) are more than 10,000 times Safe Drinking Water Act limits. Others are hundreds or thousands of times higher;
According to EPA’s own internal analysis, some concentrations are high enough to deliver a lifetime permissible dose in a single day. Scores of other radionuclides would be allowed at levels that would produce a lifetime dose in a week or a month;
The levels proposed by the Obama EPA are higher than what the Bush EPA tried to adopt–also in its final days. That plan was ultimately withdrawn; and
EPA hid the proposed increases from the public so as to “avoid confusion,” intending to release the higher concentrations only after the proposal was adopted. The documents also reveal that EPA’s radiation division even hid the new concentrations from other divisions of EPA that were critical of the proposal, requiring repeated efforts to get them to even be disclosed internally. . .
