Following the confiscation of millions of ballots in recent days, and the Spanish governments’ pressure on local mayors to deter the October 1st independence referendum, AP reports that the grassroots groups driving Catalonia?s separatist movement defied Spanish authorities on Sunday by distributing one million ballots for the vote that Madrid has called illegal and vowed to halt.

Jordi Cuixart, president of the separatist group Omnium Cultural, announced the ballots were being distributed during a rally in Barcelona.

?Here are the packs of ballots that we ask you to hand out across Catalonia,? Cuixart said.

Catalonia?s separatists have pledged to hold the vote regardless of the central government?s wishes and rallied Sunday in public squares in Barcelona and other towns in the region.

Many carried pro-independence flags and signs calling for the independence vote and urging the ?Yes? side to victory.

Study: Prenatal Fluoride Exposure Lowers IQ

A major peer reviewed study published on September 19 in the US Government’s Environmental Health Perspectives has found that children born to mothers exposed to fluoride while pregnant, have significantly lower IQ scores.

The study measured fluoride in urine and found the average level of fluoride in urine was 0.9mg/L (mg/L = parts per million). This roughly equates to urine levels found in women drinking fluoridated water at concentrations of 0.5 – 1.5 mg/L.

This study was very carefully done by a group of researchers who have produced over 50 papers on the cognitive health of children in relationship to environmental exposures. It was funded by the US National Institutes of Health and was a multi-million dollar study. This was the group’s first study of fluoride – their other studies mostly dealing with lead, mercury and other environmental neurotoxicants.

This study controlled for a wide range of potential factors that might have skewed the results and produced a false effect. It was able to largely rule out confounding effects by these other factors. The factors ruled out included lead, mercury, socio-economic status, smoking, alcohol use, and health problems during pregnancy.

This study offers confirmation of previous studies in Mexico, China and elsewhere.

 Yesterday 20th Sept 2017 was a key day in Catalonia as thousands of military police invaded Barcelona city and began searching government offices of the local government, which is having its finances seized, and arresting public officials.
The response was unbelievable, on an ordinary weekday gigantic crowds appeared in Barcelona, Catalonia and around Spain. The police were blockaded and frustrated and withdrew when they finally could.
The day was a victory despite everything in that it showed it will be impossible to stop the Referendum without tens of thousands more imported police  who are needed elsewhere. the only other option would be to call in the army.

The Dark Side is a 2015 documentary about the health professionals who assist Olympics and professional athletes acquire performance enhancing drugs, as well as helping them avoid detection on drug testing. Liam Collins, a British track star, goes undercover for Al Jazeera and easily obtains growth hormone, insulin, EPO (erythropoetin)*, HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), clomiphene and Delta-2 and other anabolic steroids from unscrupulous doctors, naturopaths (who have prescribing authority in the US and Canada) and pharmacists. He also learns the name of prominent baseball and NFL players who are illegally using these banned substances.

Prior to the release of this documentary, an estimated 40% of professional baseball players were using banned substances. In the past baseball authorities have been somewhat lackadaisical about drug testing. Public interest in baseball was flagging, and the big increase in home runs turned this around.

US wants to bury Russian gas pipeline project & force-feed its own LNG to Europe

Washington intends to stop the construction of the extension of the Nord Stream pipeline from Russia to Germany, and become Europe’s key gas supplier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev warned on Thursday.

 “The most pragmatic position is the position of the United States of America, which wants to bury this project with all sorts of legal decisions, instruments, sanctions, having an unambiguous impact on the European Union, Medvedev said at a meeting with Finnish counterpart Juha Sipila.

Such pragmatism can be explained by the interests of the US Congress to force-feed American gas to Europe, ousting Russia, Medvedev said.

He said that Finland has taken a “very constructive position regarding Nord Stream-2,” by regarding it as a commercial project.

The Nord Stream-2 pipeline will double the delivery capacity of the existing Nord Stream pipeline from the current 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The pipeline has faced fierce opposition from the Baltic States and Poland.

Last month, the United States introduced a new round of restrictions on the Russian banking and energy sectors.

Washington is interested in increasing its share in the European gas market by delivering liquified natural gas (LNG).

Over the last year, the US has increased LNG supplies to Europe. However, it now has only six percent of European LNG imports, which doesn’t take into account natural gas supplies through pipelines.

According to Gazprom Russia had a 34 percent share of the European gas market last year.
