Abortion Diaries: Using Pregnancy to Stigmatize and Shame Women

The Abortion Diaries

Directed by Penny Lane (2005)

Film Review

The Abortion Dairies features twelve women discussing their personal experience with abortion. Their reminiscences reflect their resentment and anger over the stigma, shame and utter absence of support they felt struggling with an unwanted pregnancy that threatened to destroy their lives.

One women, who genuinely desired to keep her baby, is also highly critical of welfare reforms introduced by Bill Clinton that make it virtually impossible for young single women to raise children on their own.

All deplore taboo around public discussion of abortion despite its prevalence  (annually 1.3 million US women undergo the procedure). Thirty-four percent of teenagers will fall pregnant before age twenty.

BofA Coerces Homeowners Into Keeping Quiet About Their Victory

*

*

Deliberate suppression of successful foreclosure verdicts discourages victims from challenging them in court.

Livinglies's Weblog

Most lawyers, most judges and most homeowners are under the mistaken impression that they cannot win a foreclosure battle. They don’t hear about all the homeowners who were successful. There are tens of thousands of them. Any news, like the $45 million verdict described in the article below, is squelched.

This time the Judge is not so interested in accepting the settlement that includes a news blackout. He thinks the world should know just how brutal BofA acted in flagrant disregard of law, procedure and basic decency.

Homeowners who won are silenced through coercion — in order to get the fruits of their victory they feel they must sign an agreement in which they will be restricted by total confidentiality (blackout) of any news or information about their case. Their attorneys understandably advise their client to sign the agreement because that is the safe thing to do for their client…

It’s Time To Pay Real Attention to Children’s Health

*

*

American children are among the most unhealthy in the world.

peoples trust toronto

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J

Every year, the President of the United States issues a proclamation in honor of Child Health Day (the first Monday of October), which in turn launches Children’s Health Month. President Calvin Coolidge was the first president to dedicate a special day to children’s health, in 1928, recognizing that “the conservation and promotion of child health places upon us a grave responsibility.” The U.S. is not living up to that vital responsibility and, in fact, is failing children miserably. American children’s ability to develop and thrive is being sabotaged by an avalanche of chronic ailments, with pediatric rates of some chronic conditions among the highest in the world.

An abysmal children’s health report card

Nationally representative studies show that the chronic disease burden shouldered by children in the U.S. is not only heavy but has increased steadily over the past three decades. One of these studies

Was Senator Paul Wellstone Assassinated?

Wellstone!

Snowshoe Films (2009)

Film Review

This documentary assesses the physical evidence suggesting the plane crash that killed Senator Paul Wellstone in October 2002 was actually an assassination. Wellstone, elected by Minnesota’s Democratic Farm Labor Party, was a true populist like Bernie Sanders. In addition to being the only candidate running for re-election who opposed the US invasion of Iraq, he was also raising questions about the official version of 9-11.

With his death – only 10 days before election day – his seat passed to his Republican opponent – granting Republicans regained control of both houses of Congress.

Among the anomalies explored in this film are

the strange electrical fire (which the National Air Safety Board neglects to mention in their report) that melted copper components in the instrument panel.
the loss of strobe and other warning lights (which the NASB report also neglects to mention), pointing to electrical failure preceding the crash.
the mysterious disappearance of the cockpit voice recorder (black box)
the discrepancy between witness statements and the NASB report about the altitude of the plane when it stalled out (according to eyewitnesses it was 75-90 feet, while the report indicates 1,000 feet).
the failure of the pilots to call in a warning of the crash to air traffic controllers.
the failure of the NASB (or FBI investigators) to mention links between one of the pilots, Michael Grass, and the “20th 9-11 hijacker” Zacarias Moussaoui. Moussaoui’s computer, the one FBI investigator Colleen Rawley failed to get a warrant for, had Michael Guess’s aviation instruction software on it.
the failure of the NASB to hold a public hearing on the crash, which is routine in high profile cases.
the conclusion reached by the NASB that Wellstone’s plane crashed due to “pilot error” without presenting a shred of evidence to support this conclusion.

Independent forensic experts who reviewed both the evidence and the NASB report concluded that Wellstone’s plane crashed because the pilots were incapacitated in some way. There were a number of odd electronic anomalies reported in the vicinity of the crash that Minnesota assassination researcher Jim Fetzer believes are compatible with a directed electromagnetic pulse (EMP) or microwave weapon similar to those the Pentagon was experimenting with in Iraq.

At exactly 10.18 (two seconds before the aircraft stalled) a Duluth lobbyist traveling to the same funeral as Wellstone and his family heard a loud wailing/humming sound on his cellphone. At the exact same time a number of residents south of the airport reported garage doors mysteriously opening. In addition, a local meterologist reported a large hole in the ice clouds immediately above the crash area. This, too, would have been consistent with a directed EMP weapon.

Authored by Julia Conley via TheAntiMedia.org,

?We have so much wind and wave power that it is retrograde in the extreme to lend any support to the fracking industry.?

Environmental groups from around the world applauded Scotland on Tuesday for its decision to ban fracking, following an overwhelming public outcry against the practice – and called for the United States and the rest of the United Kingdom to follow suit.

The Scottish government held a public comment period in recent months on fracking, attracting about65,000 responses – the majority of which came from people in communities where the natural gas extraction would take place. An overwhelming 99 percent of Scots who participated were opposed to the practice.

“Fracking will lead to an increase in pollution and the decimation of parts of the Scottish landscape and environment,? wrote one respondent.

?People will feel even more devalued as a result of…

Catalonia To Declare Independence From Spain On Monday

*

*

The CUP, which has a majority in the Catalan parliament has announced they will declare independence Monday.

peoples trust toronto

Spanish stocks tumbled, with the IBEX index sliding into a 10% correction, following an overnight report that Catalan leader Puigdemont was set to make a statement at 9 p.m. (1900 GMT) on Wednesday, after an all-party committee of the region’s parliament meets to agree a date for a plenary session on independence. That concluded moments ago and CUP, the pro-secession party that is a majority in the Catalan parliament, has announced it will declared independence from Spain in plenary session on Monday, El Pais reports.

As reported last night, Catalan President Carles Puigdemont told the BBC that his government would ask the region’s parliament to declare independence after tallying votes from last weekend’s referendum, which Madrid says was illegal. “This will probably finish once we get all the votes in from abroad at the end of the week and therefore we shall probably act over the weekend or…

Vitamin C

Vitamin C Basics

Dr Suzanne Humphries (2015)

Another excellent presentation by board certified nephrologist Suzanne Humphries – this time on the therapeutic use of vitamin C to prevent and cure illness. Her entire talk is based on peer reviewed studies that all doctors should be aware of (but for the most part, aren’t).

As one of nature’s most potent antioxidants, Vitamin C plays a vital role in restoring physiological balance when the body is under “oxidative stress.”** It’s also essential to maintaining the integrity of collagen (tendons and ligaments), blood vessels and mitochondria.***

Most mammals (human and other primates and guinea pigs are an exception) produce their own vitamin C. According to careful animal and human studies, the daily vitamin C dose should be 1500mg for healthy adults and 2000mg for people over 65.*

Vitamin C is used up quickly as it reverses the biochemical effects of oxidative stress, which is why people need to take much higher doses with illness, injury or psychological stress. They need higher doses still in infections that produce endotoxin, such as pertussis (whooping cough) and inflammatory bowel conditions. Smokers need to take an extra 25 mg vitamin C for every cigarette they smoke.

Studies show this vitamin is extremely helpful in controlling diabetes and all aspects of heart disease. Because it acts directly to reduce histamine levels, it tends to be more effective than antihistamine in treating allergic reactions. It’s also more effective than antibiotics in treating pertussis, tetanus and sepsis (blood poisoning). New Zealand doctors have been treating whooping cough with vitamin C for over 30 years.

It’s also effective in treating polio, snake bites, spider bites, burns, surgical trauma, and exposure to radiation, toxic chemicals, alcohol, and pharmaceuticals.

*Continuing to ignore all these studies (under heavy Big Pharma influence), the medical establishment continues to recommend 75mg daily in females and 90mg daily in males.

**Oxydative stress is an imbalance between reactive oxygen and the body’s ability to detoxify reactive intermediates or repair the resulting damage.

***Mitochondria are tiny organelles found in every cell that are responsible for cell respiration and energy production.

Thousands protest and strike over Catalonia referendum violence

Catalonia goes on strike as calls for ‘declaration of independence’ grow

A general strike in Catalonia on Tuesday will likely bring much of the wealthy Spanish region to a standstill, a move bound to ratchet up tensions with the Spanish government following a fractious independence vote at the weekend.
A large number of pro-separatist trade unions, businesses, schools, transport networks and cultural institutions – even the region’s successful soccer team FC Barcelona – are expected to stay closed or run heavily-reduced services on Tuesday in a protest against the Spanish police’s violent crackdown on the vote held Sunday.

Several thousand demonstrators gathered outside the Barcelona headquarters of Spain’s national police force on Tuesday amid strikes in protest at police violence during the disputed referendum on Catalonian independence.

As Madrid comes under growing international pressure to resolve its worst political crisis in decades, the crowd gathered in the Catalan capital, chanting…

How Pertussis Vaccine Spreads Whooping Cough

In this excerpt of Dr Suzanne Humphries’ testimony to the West Virginia Education Committee, she discusses the failure of western doctors to diagnose whooping cough (which is far more prevalent than public authorities admits). She also explains the failure of the pertussis vaccine to activate cell-mediated immunity (explained in more detail in her presentation on herd immunity – see Vaccines: The Myth of Herd Immunity). This relates to two potentially dangerous outcomes a) a high incidence of vaccinated patients going on to develop whooping cough and b) a high incidence of vaccinated patients becoming pertussis carriers owing to viral shedding caused by the vaccine.
