Grigory Borisovich Yagdfeld [Russian: Григорий Борисович Ягдфельд] Soviet playwright , screenwriter and children's writer. Member of the Writers 'Union (1945), the Filmmakers' Union (1957).

Born into the family of a zemstvo doctor, in the city of Luga, in 1909, his parents moved to St. Petersburg.

In 1926-1930 he studied at the Higher Courses of Art History at the Leningrad Institute of Art History.

In 1929 he began his literary career. Graduated from the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (SPbGK), violin class. Member of the Writers' Union of the RSFSR, the Union of Cinematographers of the RSFSR, the Union of Theater Workers of the RSFSR.
